French Tips ⭐️

Today one of my best friends wanted me to help her make her own press ons (she never made her nails with gel before) so I taught her a few things and I let her use my materials so she could create something of her own !

She wanted something relatively simple so we went for a basic French tip and a few star shaped sparkles! She used a pink polish for the base and a white one for the tip, I thaught her how to do it and she did really well !

Then she glued a few star shaped sparkle to add a finishing touch, all in all for her first time she did spectacularly well and I am honestly proud of her ! I hope she can continue doing her nails on her own with the techniques I taught her and that she can love the art of doing nails as well! 😊🫶🏻

I am happy to share my knowledge with others and I am glad she was confident enough to ask to me to teach her a new skill 💕

Retro Strawberry 🍓

Today I took inspiration from one of my mom’s poster from the 70’s and a little bit from Strawberry Shortcake (which was one of my favorite cartoons as a child)!

I am going to a birthday party this weekend and I wanted to wear something that reminded me of summer, and I personally eat a lot of strawberries during the summer 😂 so I used these as inspiration as well.

I used shimmering polish for the base and then with white polish I made a melting chocolate effect, I added a few decoration like a heart shaped pearl and heart glitter, I sculpted gel as well to make a 3D strawberry, and I’m actually quite proud of how it turned out! For the retro vibe I made a tricolor squiggle (I think that’s how we call it 😭), I chose pastel colors to keep the summery vibe, and of course on the little finger I added a French tip because it wouldn’t be me without a French tip ahah (actually now that I think about it I used way more strawberry inspiration than retro, but I think it ties well together anyway) 🍓

Pink Heart Nails 💕

Today I made some coffin shaped nails with pink hearts and pearls, I used some sugar powder as well to give them a textured effect and I am honestly in love with the results even if they are relatively simple! 💕💕

I used pink nail polish for the base and then a darker pink for the details and the French tips, I also practiced my brushing skills and while they could be better I am satisfied with the results (I don't think all the French tips look crooked ? or maybe I am in denial ahah 😅)

This is how they looked on my right hand (I will not be showing my left because I got wounded while cleaning my house, don't ask I'm Miss Catastrophe 😭), I love the way they turned out !

Pompompurin 🍮

The inspiration for these nails is the Sanrio Character "Pompompurin", it is a character I find adorable 🥰

So I did my best to do this character justice !

I used a lot of thecniques on these, I mostly tried my best it was my first time using building gel and I think it turned out well !

The main inspiration was the pudding 🍮 that Pompompurin loves, I used yellow, white and brown polish, I also used some shimmering powder and some pearls.

This is how they looked on my hands, they were really pretty and I had a lot of compliments on them, it made me happy 😊!

Sunset ombrés ☀️

I decided to try a new technique today, "ombré nails", I've never done this before so I was quite nervous but I think it turned out well !

The base polish I used is white, for the ombré I had no materials so I used a makeup palette (an orange pink colour ? kind of a sunset)! For the decorations I used a few pearls, glue, an iridescent powder, as well as a silver polish !

I tried to do an Hibiscus flower 🌺 and a butterfly 🦋 with the silver polish but I admit I'm not quite satisfied with my brush skills yet (I had to use a toothpick), the goal is to be able to use a small lining brush (if anyone has tips for that I am willing).

All in all, I did my best and I am pleased with the results even if I am not quite satisfied with my skills yet, it is by doing that we are learning after all so by practicing I will improve, I am sure of it ! 😊

My name is Ria, I'm 23, my native language is French but I can speak English and a bit of Spanish as well. I love anime, video games and basically a whole lot of medias.

I am a beginner nail tech, I am currently studying to be an esthetician and learning how to open my own beauty institute! I thought I would use this blog to connect with other nail thecnicians (and enthusiast) as well as show off my own work and hopefully see an amelioration at the end of my studies 😂
