Hi Everyone! It’s been a long time since I’ve posted. A lot has been going on in my personal life. A lot of bad but also so@e very good things as well but sadly the bad has left me traumatized and weakened and I’ve been trying to find my strength and courage again. I really appreciate all of those who have been there for me through this painful Summer. I apologize for hiding where I feel safe. I’m still recovering from it all but I am also still doing shows and curating. Those of you who have seen me at markets/ conventions and have purchased from me, Thank you so much for your kindness. I really do appreciate everyone’s patience with me while I figure out how to manage it all again. Made this for #Dune for January. I’ve been going on walks in the woods near my home. Very small but it’s been bringing back memories of the woods behind my home as a kid. My sanctuary, my “hidden” space. For the last year I’ve been working hard on my mental health and trying to love myself more and I feel many have been on the same road. #artvsartist It was a crazy last few years and I’m still working on getting a healthier version of myself especially for the new year. Always trying to do my best! Here are some pieces I’ve done for @ghostgallery & @grit_craptastic. These were the first few pieces I created for this year. Entangled in my thoughts, despair, and hopes and dreams. I’d like to apologize for going dark for the last couple months. This winter has been one of the toughest ones for me emotionally and physically. A week before Christmas I was hospitalized for extreme abdominal pain. I felt as if my organs were being squeezed and were about to burst. After this situation I have had very low energy and extreme exhaustion. I haven’t had much interest in working outside of my day job. I usually spend January planning my year but my year started off so rough. My mother is still ill and I’ve scheduled taking care of her once a week due to my own health and my job and my art, it’s too much to do more. I’ve also been trying to find a house which I was told was going to be not as hard this month but that’s just a joke. It’s already so hard to see any homes as they only last a week on the market atm. It’s only going to get worse from now on into the summer. All the while I’ve had 3 friends come out with their diagnosis of cancer, the threat of WWIII,and Australia has been burning 😢.Things don’t seem like they’re doing so well for 2020 but I’m really hoping for things to get better. My poor little heart is breaking and it’s hard to keep hoping for the best. I have to say it’s been great seeing everyone rise up and being kind and generous. I’ll be doing my best to help and give as well. I guess this post was just to show how I’m fighting to not be gobbled up in despair and my hopeful heart is still pounding. I’m still #fighting! #Inktober was such a whirlwind this year. I actually haven’t been posting anything lately.
