“He wanted to go home. He wanted it so much that he trembled at the thought. But if the price of that was selling good men to the night, if the price was filling those graves, if the price was not fighting with every trick he knew… Then it was too high.”

it does more harm than good to prop up the myth of the ‘neurotypical’ who completes tasks cheerfully with no issues. this person is a capitalist fantasy. the more you define yourself in comparison to this myth the more you justify social structures staying the same with minor accommodations to the ‘exceptions’ and the continued pathologizing of discomfort under hostile conditions

Definitely that space (so much to explore) but my other choices would be Askalaphos' 1:1 room and the space behind the cabinet. Both feel rife for an extended rummage
What is the most intriguingly-decorated locked door space you've ever briefly visited during a Punchdrunk show that you would sell your arm for the chance to properly explore?
In The Burnt City, I would really like to spend some time rummaging in the room behind the DDR machine, but I do still fairly frequently think about the Studio 8 trailer from The Drowned Man

Aphrodite: If you got arrested what would be the charges?
Hermes: Theft.
Dionysus: Disturbing the peace.
Ares: Aggravated assault.
Hephaestus: Arson.
Artemis: All of the above. In that order, probably.

Interesting that she interprets the fragmented plot as a frustration, rather than the thing drawing you back. Feels like that gives an insight into her own feelings instead.
i found this old press clipping while looking for something else to do with tdm the other day, and it amused me so i made sure to save it down
i don't remember her seeming so weirdly dismissive when we were talking in person, and i definitely don't remember feeling as tormented as i have ended up sounding, but it's only a li'l space-filler piece and i do remember that i got a free ticket and a wonderful loop with omar's claude out of the deal so it's nice to know my brain has its priorities in order 🥰
(side note: 13 trips? AHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHA!)
