Texturing
One of the main aspects to the whole Model is the use of textures. To create a higher fedelity whislt keeping a stylised look may requireusing a mix of texturing techniques/styles. Such as realistic pbr light map baking and Materials that have and painted edge highlighting and flat washed Shadows.

Sculpting
After going into zbrush the speed that the moddel was sculpted increased dramaticaly compared to the lost files rate of work. this may be due to the encrouching dealine alongside prevoius practise helping the full sculpt of high detial take less then 10 working days leaving plenty of time to texture

Learning Alphas:
Probably on of the most usefull techniques learned throughout this project Alphas give a great amount of dpeth and detail without physical sculpting leading to intricate designs that can be highlighted later with texture works

Idea Finalisation
Still rough images but a more fleshed out design for a small diorma concept the modular design could allow for object to be removed or added depending on the time restrait. At this point in the project has become a major concern

More Reasearch
To get an idea of what could push the project forward in the little time remaining the idea came of looking at smaller dioramic pieces that had 2 or 3 things to be made. After looking around for a new direction one came from an unlikely place aqauriums and terarium based enviroemts they are small and fitted stylistic or more realistic apraoches so this was the plan to move on with. To make a dioramic pieice that could be in a small aqarium/terrium.

Unfortunately! Lost work
After getting through the stuggle of baking the test model admitley should have been done at this point but was ready to texture fully to be able to move on to unique concept and design.
Unfortunatley the save flle was lost and many recovery attempts made there was a stage that was workable however due to time constraits this would not be a phesable to continue with. so the decision to move onto finalising the concepts of unique asset design. progresing on skills and production rather then delaying which may cuase issue later in the project.
This is the recovery of what files and texture are left.

Official Progress update 2
The speed of progress was fast becoming a concern as the project started to come to a slow down as of the challage possed by a nice baking workflow this made time a priority.
So the plan going forward form here was to finish up the current model and start spending time concepting for a individual idea.

The many issues of baking
Getting the baking process done properly to a high quality was more challaging then expected using a variety of software and techniques. enventually substances’ own in house baking was used this proved to be one of the better results and also contributed to adding some speed back to the project.
the files that show this process however have been lost so a version of the baked candles has been shown here

Final touches /Neater Pipeline
The next Part of the project to develop was the messy Polygons and after jumping in and out of serverall programs the file was getting a lttle much to handle. Taking a few days here to realign Uv maps and keep the moddel structure neat with a naming system made baking easier once adapted to the new format

First Progress review
This review was a week or twointo the project to see how concepts were developing. as this Idea had been in development for a while the low poly base moddel was presented with the idea of moving onward in the style after having some practise pieces and texture practise
the main feedback was to make sure to move on as it was felt to be more of a challange then anything else so this made qaulity within timelimits a higher priority

Final Major Project
Stage 1
A long project to allow for a focus or improvement of skills alongside industry style experience. The Fmp will allow for a vast improvement in a specialist area or to produce a final project on a much larger scale within teams (that can be specialised or generalised).
