miyuki-okumura:
Mia gulped down her fear and nodded stiffly. She turned to stand beside Rey and then a realization came to her. “H-How do we fight those?” She said as she watched 3 of them near her and Rey. She extended her hand to use her powers, but they didn’t work. “Our powers don’t work!”
¸.•*¨) ¸ “Off with their heads, I would say,” Rey grinned darkly as she looked over at Mia, twirling a blade in her hands. “You think you are able to do that? If not, try at least to stay behind me. I am going to have your back, no worries. Okay?” @miyuki-okumura

Mia was almost hyperventilating. She fidgeted, unable to stand still and on the verge of bolting again. “T-Those things! They’re coming!”
¸.•*¨) ¸ “Yes. I can see that,” Rey frowned quietly and handed Mia one of the weapons. “We have two choices. Run and hide. Or stay and fight. I will personally decide for the second option. What about you?” @miyuki-okumura

miyuki-okumura:
From out of nowhere, Mia was thrust into a life and death situation She watched as a scary, rotted person limped towards her. And then more of them. Instinctively, she ran and ran and almost slammed into Rey. She screamed, thinking for a second she was another one of those freaky monsters. She could still hear them coming up behind her.
¸.•*¨) ¸ Rey was sure the girl who screamed there was another camper, even though she couldn’t remember her name. “Hey,” the daughter of Enyo called while getting one of those unfamiliar weapons ready to use. “Hey, it is okay. Calm down. Panic won’t get us anywhere here.” After years and years of traning it was hard to freak Rey out, no matter what was happening around her. @miyuki-okumura

¸.•*¨) ¸ Rey had no idea why she was where she was. Her last memory was being on a quest with Ava, and running from a cyclops. Maybe she had hit her head? Maybe this was all a dream? The city didn’t seem to be New York, and, even if, it was a chaos. Broken windows left and right. Empty cars just left somewhere on the streets. Obviously fires somewhere in the distance. Not to speak of the weapons in her hand that felt totally not familiar to her.
¸.•*¨) ¸ “What....?” She glanced around, stopping when suddenly a man came running down the empty street. “They are coming!” He didn’t look good. His clothes were torn, and he was bleeding from a cut on his forehead. His eyes were widened, like he had just seen the devil himself. He continued to run, not giving Rey even the slightest chance to ask a question.
¸.•*¨) ¸ The she heard it. It was no human sound. Growling. More like a wild animal. No words, just noises. Noises that made shivers running down her spine. The small group of people coming from the distance looked more dead than alive to Rey. Some of them even seemed to miss parts of their bodies. Limbs, mainly. Other looked like something just bit a huge part of flesh out of them. And still they were walking. Like a puppets on a string. And nothing seemed to be able to stop them. They stumbled. But they kept walking.
They are coming.

ava-diaz:
Ava tensed and hesitantly followed her gaze. The large, tattooed man sitting on the bench looked over at them and the daughter of Hemera noticed that behind his glasses were only one eye. She gulped. For a moment she was afraid but then her eyes narrowed and she took on a more determined expression. At the moment the cyclops stood up, glaring at them, the train arrived and people started crowding around. Ava looked at Rey and then pulled her arm. “Come on! We gotta find an empty car in case he comes after us. We don’t want anyone else getting hurt.” She rushed to the first car, thinking of ways to prevent people from going into it.
¸.•*¨) ¸ What Rey would have loved to do now was to just strike down that cyclops where he was sitting, but she knew that wouldn’t be the right decision in a situation like this. “Well, if he does, it only proves his kind really has no brain left in their heads....” Which would not surprise the daughter of Enyo the slightest. Her hand was already reaching for one of the blades hidden in her sleeve while she was walking right behind Ava. “Just try to stay calm, okay? A panic is for sure the last thing we are needing here now.” @ava-diaz

“I like what you’re thinking.” Sky said, setting his drink down before moving forward to press a kiss on Rey’s lips.
¸.•*¨) ¸ Rey grinned, putting the bottle in her hand away before pulling Sky closer against his chest while they kissed. @skyfrancois

Ava took the initiative of purchasing the tickets as soon as they got to the booth and then directing them to where the train would be arriving. As they waited for the train to arrive, the daughter of Hemera tentatively looked at Rey, a curious look on her face. “Is… Is this your first quest too?”
¸.•*¨) ¸ It was sometimes in a battle situation, that Rey could sense the danger before actually being able to face it. She narrowed her eyes before giving Ava a small shrug. “It is, yeah. There had been a chance before, but....I’ve decided against it back then...” She trailed off, looking over her shoulders. Noticing the creatures sitting not far from them under a lamp post. We’re not alone here anymore.” @ava-diaz

“I’m hardly the guy to approach this subject.” Skyler admitted with another sip of his drink. “But you do you, lovely.”
¸.•*¨) ¸ “Well, I mean, we do not have to talk. We also can just drink together. Or kiss. Your choice.” @skyfrancois

Ava listened, nodding slowly and inhaling deeply. She’d trained hard for something like this and Rey was no ordinary demigod - she was a goddess of war and was prepared to fight. They could do this. She looked out the window when the car stopped and got out with Rey before looking around. “I suggest we keep a good lookout. It’s pretty crowded around the station so who knows what we’ll run into,” she said as they made their way to the entrance. Her fingers curled at her side, ready to summon her abilities at any point.
¸.•*¨) ¸ Rey paid for their ride before shouldering her luggage and weapons. “Hopefully into nothing. But you’re right. Better being safe than sorry.” Not that their quest would already end again before it had even started. “We also need to buy some tickets and check when the next train is coming.” She looked left and right, scanning the crowd of people for someone who maybe only pretended to be an ordinary human being on an ordinary day. @ava-diaz

¸.•*¨) ¸ “You know what sucks? When you meet a hot guy, and before you have a chance to do something, he’s dating someone else.... Maybe I should just go back to randomly sleep with people. What do you think?”

Ava frowned a bit, looking away but hoping to the Gods she was right. Her worst fear was making a mistake and someone getting hurt because of it. She looked back at the question. “… A little,” she answered honestly. “Are you?”
¸.•*¨) ¸ “Nervous? No,” Rey shook her head. “This is one of the things we have been training for, after all. She looked over at Ava with a serious expression on her face. “I am aware of the many things that can get wrong. But we can do this. Okay?” The car stopped in a parking lot near a train station, and Rey moved to climb out of it. “There we are.” @ava-diaz

Ava took the notes with a thoughtfully frown and went through reading them. “He’s only 10?,” she asked in a bit of disbelief. “What about-?” She was about to ask about his parents when she read it. “Oh…” Orphanage. A small sigh left her lips. “Okay,” she agreed with a small nod. “We can do that.”
¸.•*¨) ¸ “Guess most of us demigods have no luck when it comes to family, huh?” Rey shrugged and looked out of the window when the car left the woods surrounding Camp half Blood. “He is going to be okay. The camp will keep him safe, and I am sure we’ll be there just in time,” she looked over at the other girl. “Are you nervous?” @ava-diaz
