With the forced switch to the new Tumblr interface (which was honestly expected but anyway), the custom scripts that were essential to my browsing experience were broken. It seems Tumblr now obfuscates the class names in its CSS, so it seems it’s unfeasible to make those scripts work again. As such, the site has become nigh unusable for me with all of its sponsored and unfollowed content garbage filling the dashboard (remember the time when your dashboard was focused on, ya know, the content you actually wanted to see?).

Taking also into account that I only come to see art here these days, that the friends who originally managed to get me to join have already abandoned or removed their accounts, and the general lack of user interaction that I’ve lamented many times in the past, I think this is a good time to finally say goodbye to the site. I’ll keep the blogs (this one and rewriteofthelife) around for now, but won’t probably be visiting much anymore. Bye.

If you’re still following this blog after all these years, chances are you have already heard of Sekai Project’s Rewrite Kickstarter campaign through some other channel, but if you haven’t, here’s your wake-up call.

SP is seeking to raise $180,000 to bring both Rewrite+ and Rewrite Harvest festa! officially to the West, and naturally, limited physical editions will also be available for the higher end tier backers. You might remember that Amaterasu began translating Hf! after finishing the original Rewrite, but never got the full patch out before this was announced a long time in advance. Thus Hf! is still pretty much unavailable in English, making the success of this campaign pretty important even if you read the main game back in the day.

With just short of twelve days of the one-month backing period left and a bit less than a third of the funds missing, its completion is looking pretty tight (especially considering that many of the most devoted fans, including yours truly, likely already contributed early on). If you hadn’t yet heard of the campaign, you can make a change by contributing or by telling your fellow visual novel connoisseurs about it.

Now, excuse me while I go back to my eternal slumber. Pretty shameful that the blog front page is still full of posts celebrating some Rewrite anime that never happened ;) but that’s just how it is.
