“If I could turn back time, if I could find a way, I'd take back those words that hurt you.”
⏪ NAME: Jordan Clarke ⏪ LABEL: The Key Piece ⏪ AGE: 23 ⏪ NEIGHBORHOOD: Brooksdale ⏪ OCCUPATION: Student (Engineering) ⏪ GENDER & PRONOUNS: Agender, they/them ⏪ SEXUALITY: UTP ⏪ REWOUND?: Yes, Jordan did go back in time.
LIFE 2.0 UP UNTIL 2017 ( the unchangeable past )
Jordan was born to two loving parents in Brooksdale when it was still affordable enough, they worked hard (their mother as a teacher at Madison Primary School and their father at the fire department) to ensure Jordan got whatever they desired and then some. Especially as an only child, they received their parents full attention and to this day, remain thankful for what they’ve been given.
Having been born in Wellford, Jordan’s entire world consisted of the same streets, the same places, the same faces. They’re sociable, so they get to know people wherever they went -- most of the the time they left a good impression. Still, the town always felt too small for them and so, teenage years were spent dreaming of the big city, of bustling streets and long nights and stories too outrageous for a town like Wellford. This translated into a few similarly “outrageous” adventures as a teenager. Nothing too terrible that really got them into trouble but the day they came home with their first tattoo and freshly colored purple hair, their parents definitely almost fainted.
It’s their best friend that makes them stay despite of that when they graduate. She is more important than the big city and a promise of living together and battling college as a joint unit seem almost as exciting as escaping the town.
Jordan is currently an engineering student at Wellford University and about to finish their final year. They didn’t go to college right away after High School, instead working for a year at Vital Vinyl to save up a bit of money and help putting themselves through college.
Currently, they’re living with [ character name], their best friend since pretty much preschool, but there’s been some tension in the most recent months between them. With the time-travel, Jordan now has the chance to avoid the fight they would regret for the next ten years -- but do they really feel any different about the matter than a decade ago?
LIFE 1.0 UP UNTIL 2027 ( the changeable future )
It’s in their senior year of college that Jordan and their best friend, whom they had lived together throughout school, got in a huge fight. [ character name ] had been spending more time with some of her newer friends, not always taking Jordan along. It all eclipsed one night in an argument that would end their friendship. Jordan said some things they later came to regret (Especially the fact that [ character name ] is the reason they wasted their life away in this shit-town) but were too stubborn too apologize for at the time.
Jordan moved out of Wellford immediately after college and to Seattle where they were offered a job. Thanks to the decent pay, they were able to afford a nicely sized apartment for themselves as well as the dog they’d bought 3 years in.
They enjoy their job a lot and their co-workers are nice, however Jordan failed to keep in touch with most people back home and does often feel a bit homesick and lonely when they hear other people talk about going to for drinks with college buddies.
Unfortunately, most recently, the company they were working for invested badly and almost went bankrupt. In the aftermath, they laid off a lot of people, including Jordan. The invitation for the 300 year anniversary came at the right time and sounded like a fun alternative to moping around and trying to find another job that was as enjoyably as the last one.
+ kind, charitable, ambitious, spontaneous, easy-going - stubborn, prideful, impulsive, doesn’t take things serious enough, rebellious
to be expanded on by player.
[ best friend ] : The two of them have been best friends since kindergarten and practically inseparable. There’s nothing Jordan wouldn’t tell her or that they wouldn’t come to her for advice on. At least, that was what it was like until recently when things started being tense around the apartment they share in Brooksdale. [ name ] has made a lot of new friends in her senior college classes and hasn’t been spending as much time with Jordan -- something that is causing more and more upset in them, especially because the reason they stayed in Wellford in the first place is to spend time with her. [ vital vinyl owner ] : [ name ] has known Jordan for years, with them being a frequent costumer in the store. So when Jordan graduated High School and mentioned wanting to work for a while before starting college, he offered them a job since he would hardly find anybody who knew more about the place than them. The two of them have a good, friendly relationship and sometimes go out for a drink at the Warwick after work. Lately, he’s started to become her main confidante. [ third connection tba ]
