Maybe I should mention that I am not a huge fanfiction reader because I am quite picky with the writing style and it’s important for me that they are in-character. I only recently started reading more and here is a small collection of my all-time favs:

It’s set around the time after Rukia got promoted to vice captain. Renji and Rukia and the other characters are very in character and they have so nice interactions together. Also it’s also written very well and it’s easy to imagine each scene :3

Heartstorm by Nightheart

Renji and Rukia are trapped in Hueco Mundo and they discuss their relationship; I really love their characterization in this fic and the dialogue is very well written. 

Forever Belonging With You by @tappity-tap

It’s a sequel to the RenRuki novel “We do knot always love you” and deals with Renji’s and Rukia’s time after the marriage up to Ichika’s birth. it’s soooo good and also fun to read and it also has illustrations in each chapter!!

Out of Rukongai by c2t2

It is very dark, deals with their Rukongai + Academy days. Their relationship is somewhat unhealthy here because both are traumatized. But the writing style was very appealing to me!

She Ra Knight AU page 1

Okay so I’ve been writing up a storm these past few days and I ended up scripting a comic for this She Ra AU, so Ima just leave this page right here and depending on the response, I might continue with this series (I can also release the script later on! its not complete yet but it’s technically a fanfic). Also quick note, yes that’s She Ra’s armor from the Battle of Brightmoon (I was too out of it to design new armor for her and already loved what they had going on so yeah)

I’m pretty much using this as practice for both scriptwriting and comic making because I have some personal projects in the works for the future!

Chapter Five: Matcha Tea and Polka Dots

There was always this haziness when he woke up. He would be bleary eyed and the world would stay out of focus.

Upon waking up his vision was flooded with blurs of pink and dark gray.

He scrunched his eyes shut as they hurt when he tried to see without his glasses for too long. He ran his right hand down his face and sighed at the numb sensation of his left arm.

The dorm bed was barely big enough for him so the inclusion of another body had him and Sakura practically on top of each other.

Sakura sighed in her sleep, her breath puffing out onto his neck, causing a tingle to run down his spine.

Great. That was just what he needed.

Sasuke rolled so that he could twist his body away from Sakura, keep her away from parts of himself that were aching. With a sigh he tucked himself into the waistband of his boxer briefs and flannel pajama bottoms. Luckily Sakura hadn’t woken up because he was poking her.

Sasuke peered through his lashes, squinting his eyes to see the sleeping girl.

Such a silly, annoying girl.

Sakura was so defenseless and it irritated him to no end. It was like he didn’t register in her mind as someone that could potentially have any sexual interest in her.

It was a Saturday but it was still strange for Sakura to still be sleeping. She hadn’t been joking when she said she had only taken a nap within the past few days. Sasuke wouldn’t have minded letting her sleep but his arm was numb and her warmth and the subtle fruity scent wafting from her hair was getting to be too much for him.

Nap time when they were five was nothing like this.

I have a lot of head canons to what I believe happens after httyd3 and I need to get them out; so enjoy I guess! (I’m sorry for any grammar mistakes also spoilers).

→ Astrid and Hiccup finally decides to marry each other because they wanna start their new lives (without the dragons) together. Hiccup is also happy about it because he doesn’t think he could live alone in his hut after Toothless leaves.

→ Hiccup keeps himself busy the first couple of months to keep his mind from going back to Toothless. He realizes just how much Berkians relied on dragons and tries his best to come up with solutions for their problems. He spends days in the forge to draw up new inventions and ways to make life easier for them. He modernizes New Berk and it becomes one of the most thriving, peaceful and rich islands in the archipelago.

→ Astrid’s personality clashes when she finds out she’s pregnant. On one hand, she doesn’t wanna move an inch because of her protective instinct to keep everyone (now her baby) safe. But on the other hand, she can’t bring herself to sit still for long periods of time (she’s an active person guys). Valka is the one who helps her find balance.

→ Hiccup realizes that no feeling in the world comes even close to the one he feels when he gets to hold his daughter for the first time. He melts when he sees Astrid’s eyes in hers and cries when he realizes that she has inherited Stoick’s hair color.

→ Hiccup is so proud of his daughter and is rarely seen without her. He walks around New Berk with her and even brings her to meetings.

→ Snotlout becomes leader of the New Berk guards and is a trusty and loyal companion to both Hiccup and Astrid whenever they need to leave on meetings on different islands (while one stays home). He eventually marries a very sweet yet stern woman from a different tribe and becomes a father of three (two boys one girl).

→ Astrid gets a reputation in the archipelago for being a powerful chieftess and some people think she’s the actual chief of Berk. Hiccup never corrects them when they think Astrid is the real one; he mostly laughs and agrees with them (they’re equals in their title but like they think she’s the heir).

→ Their son is born during the winter which makes Hiccup nervous. He knows the danger of being born in the cold months of the year. But Nuffink survives; even though it takes a toll on Astrid who has to be bedridden for a couple of weeks afterwards. She hates it. 

→ Nuffink is a sweet boy but he does love to watch Tuffnut prank people around New Berk.

→ Zephyr is incredibly protective of her little brother and loves him more than anything in the world. Except her stuffed dragon maybe. 

→ Fishlegs doesn’t marry anyone but builds a little farm where he keeps a bunch of animals. Most people think his heart never really healed after saying good bye to Meatlug so he keeps himself surrounded with other animals.

→ He’s not miserable though. He loves to tell the Berkian kids tales about the dragons and teaches them how to take care of the animals at his farm. Somehow this develops into New Berks first school. Fishlegs is an excellent teacher and the highest grade a student can have is the Gronckle badge. 

→ When Hiccup and Astrid decides to search for the dragons, it takes them two journeys before they find it.

→ Toothless and Stormfly bonded so well with each other that they never left each other’s side. That’s why the Light Fury can easily bring Stormfly to Astrid and that’s the first time Zephyr and Nuffink sees their mother cry.

→ When they leave Hiccup feels better than he has in years. He finally knows that Toothless is fine and doesn’t have to worry about him.

→ The family returns every couple of months to the entrance. Sometimes Valka follows and even the rest of the dragon riders comes along to see their dragons (although a bit from the opening of the hidden world). Hiccup hopes that secret will die with him and Astrid.

→ When Valka is an old woman, she decides to spend her last remaning years in the hidden world. When Hiccup returns a couple months later… Cloudjumper hangs his head when he asks about her. (shoutout to the books)

→ When Hiccup is an old, old man and close to take his place among the kings; Astrid hears something and goes to open the door.  Somehow the dragon knew. Toothless and Astrid sits by Hiccup’s side as he takes his final breath.

Chapter 27 - The Breaking Point

Mitsuki felt his heartbeat fastening now more than ever, his instincts (although he didn’t understand how) kicked and before he knew it, his hand had removed the IV and he was standing up on the sill. Catch him. He just had to catch him. That was all. Crouching slightly, taking a deep breath and feeling like he was doing this naturally, like he had been doing this since birth… he jumped forward. He tucked his arms close to his body, gaining even more speed to catch up to Boruto, who was getting closer and closer to the ground… He was not gonna let it end… this was all he had in mind… And then he was there, holding on to Boruto, making the blond’s scream cut abruptly as he… did another move out of pure instinct… one hand sign, and suddenly, they were caught by what seemed to be the air currents themselves. Gasping, Boruto opened his eyes… and their eyes met.

P.A Works / Animation Studio

P.A Works is a Japanese animation studio which was established on November 10, 2000. It is located in Nanto, Toyama in Japan. 

The president of the company Kenji Horikawa used to work in :

-Production I.G (Guilty Crown, Psycho-Pass)

-Bee Train (.hack//Sign, Tsubasa Chronicle) 

-Tatsunoko Production (Sket Dance, Gatchaman Crowds) 

before founding P.A Works in 2000. The main office of the studio is located in Toyama where drawing and digital photography take place while production and directions takes place in the office in Tokyo. Before P.A works started working on anime they were involved with the animation of video games. I guess most of you definetly heard about Proffessor Layton before ? They were working on the animation of the game. Besides games they were also involved in movies like Sword of the Stranger or Evangelion. 

But then it finally happened. Their first own anime was True Tears. True Tears was released in 2008 and was the first anime series P.A Works released. True Tears is a romance anime and a quite good one too. So they had a great start.

Their next work was Canaan which released a year later in 2009. This is the only anime of P.A Works I haven’t watched yet so I can’t say much about it. But Canaan was also a success in Japan and the DVD Volumes were selling quite good and even received 2 Awards (one for the seiyuu and one for the anime itself).

Moving to the next series the loved series Angel Beats. I guess Angel Beats is actually one of my least favorite anime from P.A Works. This doesn’t mean I didn’t liked it though it was just not as good as their other anime imo. Anyway Angel Beats was one of the anime which made the studio more popular. The critics were generally posotive and P.A Works was praised a lot for their animation.

Their next work was Hanasaku Iroha which is one of my all time favorite anime. The animation was fantastic as it could be expected from P.A Works and the anime itself was very enjoyable. Just like the anime before this also received a lot of positive critics on the animation and the characters. Many different reviewers view Hanasaku Iroha as one of the best anime in 2011.It was so popular that it even got a live action movie. 

2012 Another was their next project. Another work of them that everyone knows about. But as expected from P.A Works they managed to adapt the great manga into a great anime. Great animation and pacing which makes it one of the most popular horror anime even today. The sales were great and it gained a lot of popularity worldwide.

In the same year they also released Tari Tari which is another great Slice Of Life after Hanasaku Iroha. P.A Works popularity keeps rising and all of their works so far had great critics and sold fantastic.

Red Data Girl released in 2013 and was the first anime of P.A Works which received rather negative critics. While the animation were praised it was way too rushed. It wasn’t selling as good as the anime before either.

Koitabi : True Tours Nanto is a short special series with short eps and 6 episodes and I just heard for the first time about it lol. *puts it on the watchlist*

The Eccentric Family also in 2013 was one of the hidden gems of the year. It wasn’t as popular as the previous anime they released but it was one the anime which received the best critics and was generally praised a lot. I also think that this anime was really fantastic and everyone should check it out.

Here it comes. Glasslip. The worst anime by far of the studio. While the animation here stays also fantastic the plot and the characters were just incredibly boring and bad. I don’t even want to talk about this anime anymore and I pretend this never happened.

And then we reach the next big hype anime Nagi no Asukara, This released in 2014 and was another very popular anime in 2014. The setting and characters were praised a lot. I also liked the idea behind the story even though the romance in this anime was a bit too much in my opinion. Still overall a great anime and (yes I keep saying it) the animation was top notch. The water was so beautiful and overall the world of it was visually just beautiful.

Shirobako has been their latest anime and probably also my favorite anime of the studio. An anime about making anime. In Japan it was considered one of the most popular anime in the fall and winter season (24 eps) and is also for me one of my all time favorite anime.

Overall you can see that P.A Works is a  successful anime studio with (almost) mainly good anime. The studio is not only known for the good anime but also for their great animation I was praising the whole time. It’s always great and every single anime has atleast this one Scenery Porn. Those are scenes were you just know that the animators put more effort into this single scene.

It’s mostly a background with great details and amazing lighting. Moments were you just feel like taking a screenshot. Like the most Animation Studios P.A Works has also something where you just know that it’s from this studio and this is the eyes. The characters have usually big eyes which are hard to miss. If you watched a few anime from the studio you will be able to tell it just from the character designs too

P.A Works is one of my favorite anime studio. They (almost) never fail to impress me and be it Horror, Slice of Life or Romance it’s always good. I can’t wait for Charlotte in the Summer Season.
