Oathday 22 Abad 4708
I don’t understand Stab’s interest and obsession with the undead. I haven’t met one that didn’t try to kill us unless Stab raised it and I still don’t trust it and of all the undead things I’ve seen to day, the spiders I met is the second to worse. Its legs were like rapiers, its body hollow and home to countless small spiders, dark and dry and sounding of crinkled leaves and scuttling crabs, keeping its cave home trapped with webs. This is the best way into the fortress and with the Rocs circling above, we will chance more of these undead terrors. We cleared the cave near us to make this one safe and see if there was anything useful there, but only wyverns bodies for Ran when we get back. Shoji thinks she will like them and I think so too.
Moonday 26
This, even with the dangers, was worth the trouble. Dealt with the giant threat in Jorgenfist, brokered a peace of sorts with what remaned, and found solid directions to deal with the Ruinlords. More than this, I know at least one of my parents was at Jorganfist at some point because a ruinlord construct had a dagger, with the same pommel design as my mother’s pin, embedded in its head and the construct, dagger removed, told us who had come, or at least, what type of people they were so the trail is still there and they were trying to stop what we are, but something happened. The elves aren’t quite as interested in finding their father as I am, but it sounds like he was in their group.
Speaking of that family, seems like they have a fae prince as an uncle and the whole clan is terrifying according to fae world fae. We aren’t sure why, but I would rather not deal with them. Unfortunately, the elves’ sis doesn’t feel the same way. She is on her way to kill Stab and will likely kill us too for running around with him, but is using the fae world to get here so who knows when she’ll find us and what shape we’ll be in.
Welday 28
When Mocmorian, the necromancer of Jorgenfist, the one leading the group, died, there was an explosion and quake and this opened up a hole in Sandpoint miles away, killing one person in the cave there. This lead down to another temple of Lamashto where a crazy thessalonian was still alive, looking like a tall Ulf dipped in dark honey and had covered the walls with writing. He was talking until Stab said something stupid and ticked the guy off. A demon was summoned and changed the pull, making us fall to the ceiling. We quickly killed it and as we fell again, Crazy summoned yeth hounds and vanished. Shoji and Herger dealt with the hounds and Kata moved to consecrate the altar of the foul temple when Crazy made his move. Darkness descended on Kata as did Crazy and a shadow demon causing chaos and Kata died from it. This enraged Shojiro who then charged Crazy and split him long and the other we killed quickly.
We also found the bodies of the people who came before us, the people sent down to rescue the dead man as well as his body and left them in the care of the local temple. Kata we took to Magnamar to bring back and also did some shopping. It seems between Elvess family issues, Amiko family problems, and selling the Turtleback fort back to Magnamar, we aren’t well liked by some of the officials, namely the mayor, despite the things we’ve done, so we aren’t staying long. Besides I’m iching to get going again after getting such a clue and I can feel the specter of the RuinLord breathing on our backs. I’m uninterested in keeping him there.
Sunday 1st Calis
We leave tomorrow and I don’t know when I can write again. We are going deep into the mountains  and no one knows when we will be at port again. I’ll write when I can.
Keep safe and mind the stars.

I didn’t know halfling parties had so much food! I knew what halfling food tasted like from that one time Gina, Dan, and Samnus took over mess after port leave and everything tastes like radish, juniper, and ground hen. There were some like that, but more variety and more pie. Sweet, savory, even a sour one, there was so much pie. There was singing, halfling songs, Ulfin, and Varishian and much fun was had. There was a mess, but it didn’t trouble any one. I wonder if my father’s clan’s food tastes like Reveni’s.
Fireday 9
There is a tall, tall tower at the embassy Hurger built. Its tall and wobbles in the wind some, much like the nest, but I can see for miles and miles. It almost feels like I’m on the Star, but the Rise and Platter blocks the view to the N, S, and E, and the only view of the Sea is beyond the green marsh and moor. I can see the ships though, almost enough to identify the nearest ones as they go their way. I did see the Astrid go past and I’m assuming its headed towards RP after SP.
We are preparing to go N on Moonday and there is a scramble to craft or buy this or that. I’m waiting for one of the girls to find me atm and send me on some errent or other. All my stuff is packed and ready to go.
Sunday 11
Setting out tomorrow morning to Jorgenfist so this letter will have to be short. I don’t know when I’ll be back at a port or when I’ll get back to town, two weeks at least, but I’ll write you when I can.The next letter will be in Korvosa.
Be well and quick seas,

Dear Captain Kleft,
Toilday 30 Kuth 4707
Today I was adopted into the House Ryuzoji. Oathday would have been a better day, but Ran wanted this done before the 31st and that was the soonest. I’m happy to be a part of their house, but its less of adoption how we know it and more covering me with their political clout and them having someone of their house if death happens. Ran and Shoji are all that's left of their clan and they don’t want it to die should they. With how many close calls Shoji has had in the past few months, their worries are warranted.
The ceremony was small and hinged on giving me a mythril dagger named Starchaser that glows and returns then thrown. There will be a larger party next week to make this public and celebrate it. Will see how it goes.
Wealday 31
I’m fine, but I never want to see another dragon as long as I live.
It came down from the Fist with giants and  I never want to be that terrified again. I’m told  Shoji delt the killing blow, but it fell on him, crushing, and nearly killing him for all the glory it won him. The giants weren’t easy, or their bear pets, but they were killed or scared away. Now we just need to deal with the destruction their rocks and bodies did to the town. None of the towns people died and that was the goal. We knew the giants were coming, just not how many or when. Nothing really prepared us for that dragon.
I’m grateful I got salt and brine bread before the giants got here. Having Chem appear in my room in the inn or any of the others that died that night would just top off the day in the worse way. Hopefully a newly dead dragon won’t be added to this towns haunts. It has enough problems.
Oathday 1 Abad 4708
Pale night gratefully quiet.
Scarnetti pushed out, likely back to Magnimar. Left behind their lumber mills and their manor was empty, looked looted, likely by their Sczarni allies. Might have been a falling out between the two as rumors of collusion are drifting through the dock unchecked by the Sczarni saying they burned down competing mills for the family.
Starday 3
We didn’t get them all. They split before coming to sand point and currently siege the garrison up north at Thistle. Got word from a lucky runner and we headed up there fast. Found a kidnapped farmer cooking a cow for the giants and worried about his safety, but was able to distract attention away from them. Their bear was dealt with quickly and our bear, Ursala, dealt with the giants handally. She was awe inspiring and looked god touched while at it. Cowed the rest of the giants into surrender and they were brought back to the embassy. I think Shoji is going to use them as labor to fix what they broke then they raided though the farm lands. Got some advice on who to invite to the party and it seems like all the halflings in the Sandpoint area. Its going to be a very large party.
Safe travels and stiff breezes,

Dear Captain Kleft,
Starday 13 Kuth
No place that I’ve been to since leaving The Star, have been as devastated as the Syrantula lake region by actions that could have been avoided. Many abled bodied people die either in the sinking of the pleasure boat, the sack of the ranger fort, the flood of the Turtleback, or the devastation at Shimmer Glen. The area will recover, politics will see to that, but it will be a long time till things truly get back to normal, if they do. The Shimmer Glen won’t. The Nymph that lived there, heart sick and brutalized as she was, gave what was left of her life to resurrect the ranger commander. He takes care of the glen now and will morn the rest of his life, and now thats hes an elven fae, that will be a long life. The people sent down to the otherside of Syrantula will come back to pick up the soggy remains of their town and I don’t envy them for it. At least the Creeg are reduced and gone for a decade and there are fewer giants in the area.
The river ride back has been quiet and I’ve managed to add the monstrosity from the depths of Storval deep to my bag. I never want to see that horror again in the flesh.
Toilday 16
The stories about Menkai are interesting. They sound familiar, but aren’t. They have forests filled with fae, but have roads through them rather than around them. Their leaders are picked by dragon gods and their heros are children and old people. They have the strong people too, but a lot more young and old then Varician tales. I prodded Kata to talk about them since he’s been there and there's not much else to do. Some of their fields are made of water and stepped like stairs or thats what Kata says. Shoji laughed when I asked if they sail boats in them, but Kata thought and nodded and said he had seen small boats on their waters. I would like to see that, sailing down stepps.
Starday 20
Talked to Ursala in an effort to avoid hearing about vikes, past and future, from the Ulf. I don’t think anyone else has had quite the life she has. She spent most of her youth as a bear and was generally shunned from her tribe. I think it was her uncle that took her in when her parents disappeared, I’m still not sure. She talked about the Plateau and it sounds hot and dusty. With that much ash, I’m surprised anyone can breath. Ursala says it wasn’t hard, but I’m not so sure of that. It was a little cooler where she was most of the time, but still much much hotter then the hottest day at sea. Like a desert, but with some plants and large animals, like heavy horned cattle. There are sections with tall grass that ripples in the wind, but mostly sand, rock, and heat. Not a pleasant place.
Toilday 23
I was right. Slow poison went north and we can’t do anything, but warn, even if the warned party won’t believe us. Sweet tasting poison is poison all the same and this may cripple even if its stopped. That is a problem for later one way or another. Made a quick stop in Magnamar to notify the Mayor of the fort and surrounding area before heading back to Sandpoint looking to get some work done in the area, see how the embassy is coming along. I’m looking forward to spending the end of the year getting the work we need to get done before we get swept up in anything else.
Well wishes from me to thee and the crew,

Moonday 8
Teleported into Magnamar after a hard battle on Hook mountain ended with Kata death at the hands of a rock stone giant. We found the Nymph’s love, the Ranger Commander undead and under the control of the necromancer there, a Barl Breakbones. The whole battle was a mess of not quite knowing what were were walking into, despite warnings from a friendly giant. They likely saw us coming and it cost us, but not as dearly as it could have. Mostly Shoji’s people. Kata is fine now, but we heard news of what happened to the missing Minkai tratorb while here. Looks to have gotten help from Cheliax and I don’t envy the visions  problems that's going to make, whatever they are. Slow poison robs and that's what went up.

to: Cap. A. Kleft Star of Desna Port Office, Merab, Thuvia Dear Captain Kleft,
Starday 29
Much has happened and I can’t sleep. My last letter was lost when the town flooded Oathday and haven’t had the time to write since. Do you remember what aH said about that one drift ship? With the tentacles? I’ve been to places that look and smell like that, only more cave and pig and less salt and fish. Also more ogre and kin and the things they do to people, they I’ll not describe it. It was horrific, both places were. Are. At least only one is needed for habitation.
I saw a large pink eyed gar the night of the flood, large and long, named Black Maga. It was a legend, flipping boats, killing people. Drowned a pleasure boat the day before getting to Turtleback, but that was small compared to the gigantic tentacled, screaming monster. Taller than the temple, so tall and the night so dark I couldn’t see all the way up. It came from the Deep when the dam overflowed and it was taken back after it was hurt some. At least the gar is dead and the lake safe even if the town was soaking wet.
The people were evacuated till we can take care of the dangers up here. At least the fort is cleared. Shoji will be leaving his men to keep this place while we go higher up into the mountains to deal with giants and who knows what else. Really hoping no more lamia and shock lizards.
I’ll miss Shelalu and wish we were faster, that we didn’t prepare so much. Perhaps she would be still alive.
I’m fine.
Weld 2 Kuth
The ogres defitly caused the flood. Found them bashing in the dam side, trying to bring the whole thing down instead of just the hole from the first time. Dealt with it, went inside and found trolls nesting the operation area. After a hard struggle, cleaned out and found the things powering the spillway was a pair of demons. One was long dead, but the other had just enough, along with some creature Stab summoned, to open them up. Hopefully someone can get up here and fix the device, but its thousands of years old, so I don’t see that happening soon. This dam is massive and held the water back for generations dead, but its safe for the moment.
Came back down to the fort. We still have to go to Hook Mountain, but we have to help a Nymph in the Glenns first. We ran into a pixie and it implored us to help its mistress so help we will or as much as we can.
Oath 4
One of the drivers pushing an ogre forward has to be the dispoil of all things good agus and lovely. They destroyed, tortured and mutilated the Nymph and by that destroyed the whole marsh. All the fae are trapped and dieing or dead, unable to go home for the grief of her and she won’t pass till she finds out what happened to her love. We promised we would and fulfill the promise Ursala’s mom made to her. Not sure what that's about, but it has to do with the Nymph’s sister and talking to her. Not sure.
We are off up hook mountain in the morning to deal with more giants though.

Toilday 12 Neth
Saw the Mayor of Magnimar to let him know what happened the day before. Justicar Ironbrier died in the 7sawmill cult battle and needs to be replaced. We put forward Joshua, Stab and Seph brother, for the job, but we will see if it happens. I think its going to be hilarious if it happens.
Got a line on where the ringleader is located at. Looking to head that way soon.
Oathday 14 Neth
I didn’t realize how big the bridge was till I was under it. Were the people that once lived here giants or just needed that big of a bridge for something? The tower under it didn’t come close to grazing the bottom and blotted out the sky like being under a thick storm cloud or a dense tree canopy without the sweet smell of either. It’s a dirty, filthy under belly and the two, bridge and under, is this city in its entirety.
The tower was where the mastermind was, a snake lady, I think someone said a Lemia? She was at the top and thanks to Ursala we got the drop on her, literally. We flew up and Hurger attacked her in a human form. She quickly changed to a snake bottom and summoned a demon. The noise attracted the attention of three down below, but the battle didn’t last very long. Shoji took a heavy hit, but Ursala took the lady's face off and she was done with.
We found evidence of her activities and letters to a sister to the north, near Turtleback Ferry who invites her sister to come, the pickings are better. I have a feeling that's the next place we go.
Going down, we ran into a flesh golem, a scarecrow sort. Why there would be one in the middle of Magnamar let alone underneath a sky blocking bridge is beyond me, but its been dealt with now. Hurger did the killing blow, but only after Seph delt heavy damage with her arrows. Dealt with the fall out of the whole tower episode, told the mayor’s assistant and went back to the Villa. I can’t wait to get out of this place.
Fireday 15 Neth
I would love if Shojiro and Amiko got togeather. They work well with each other and I and Bethanna think the two are cute together. I didn’t know Shoji could flirt, but apparently he can, at least in a Minkai way. He gave Ami a token of his affection, a small sword, before the parted for the night.  Ami is going back on a trip soon and they have figured out ways to keep in contact with each other. Bethanna hopes it works out and so do I.
Sunday 17 Neth
We saw Ami off this morning. What was left of the Minkai parties left with her. There was a mutinous part of the party that was dealt accordingly with and only one was missed. Horrible nasty relation to Shoji that doesn’t deserve the connection left early due to cowardice and I hope he finds a home on a reef somewhere.
Toilday 19 Neth
We are traveling inland, going up the Yondabakari River starting tomorrow via the Gilt Swan and Playful Otter to Turtleback. I’m not sure when I’ll be able to safely send a letter off next.
Fair winds and good tides.
With much affection,

to: Cap. A. Kleft Star of Desna Port Office, Aspenthar, Thuvia Dear Captain Kleft,
Sunday 3 Neth
The Kaijisu house is not how I thought it would be at all. I don’t think the old Lord had been back for a long time. Amiko’s false uncle embezzled the family money and pulled the steward in on it. The uncle disappeared leaving the bag with the Steward and the whole thing is a mess. On top of all that, the house was neglected and on its way to dilapidation when Amiko showed up. I do not envy the work she has to do.
We will be staying with her to help her out till we leave.
Moonday 4 Neth
Whoever made this place was paranoid. There are secret doors everywhere and fortifications fit a fortress. There are blood drinking bushes from the Expanse, Ursa says, around every building in this compound. If this person wasn’t being hunted, I’ll drink salt water.
Amiko and Shoji are flirting and Bethanna and I think it's great. They would be good for each other if they get together. I doubt soon though. Getting married while on adventure sounds difficult.
Welday 6 Neth
Saw The Jealousy of the Inconsistent Nymph at the playhouse with Ursa and Josua  and before I get to the. I was asked after your health by a very nervous, dirty man. Didn’t get his name, but he was definitely worried about you being in town.
Afterwards got in a tussle with the Mask people terrorizing the town. Josua went down fast, but Ursa and I took care of the rest of them. Even got one for Ironbrier. What an exciting end to a lovely day.
Oathday 7 Neth
I don’t understand how they govern here. There is a mayor, but the judges, who hold a lot of the power, don’t talk to each other about anything it seems. Even if it is the murder of nobles. How do they get any work done? Got dragged into an art room with Ursala at the gala by a Paladin of Abidon and a justicar I hadn't met before. They had no idea we were investigating the murders going on or the information we provided already. Hopefully they can talk to Ironbriar about it.
Made me miss the Ulfin armada chief entrance. Apparently it was interesting. I’ll take their word for that.
Moonday 11 Neth
Its been a busy past few days.
I never knew there were bird people till I met Katamori. He came in with a Minkain delegation with an Ulfin escort to see Amiko. While we were downstairs talking, attempting to be civil, the house was attacked by black wolf masked assassins along with mercenaries. They were dealt with them, but there were casualties, mostly amongst the Ulf, but also amongst us. When the assassins came in, they mistook Syra for someone else and killed her, taking her head with them. We can’t do anything about it. Her soul was also taken and there is nothing we can do about it, but hope we find the ass assins and deal out punishment for it. That was Starday.
Sunday was looking for the Captain of the Watch, finding her dead, getting leads, and heading out into the marshes to the 7 saw mill, under the pretext of buying wood. Hurger snuck upstairs to have a look around for cultist and wasn’t surprised when they found him. I heard the commotion upstairs, went to Hugers aid and got a poisoned dagger to the back for it. Ir The mill’s cult leader picked me up, hand over my mouth to silence me, but the others heard anyways and the battle was joined with chaos and missteps. Got dropped and stayed behind Hurger after that. Shoji delt a telling blow to the mill leader, but found in our investigations of the mill the ringleader is still at large. Got to fish that one out of a swarm of eels.
Hope your waves are smoother and winds fair then the ones driving us.
Much affection,

to: Cap. A. Kleft Star of Desna Port Office, Aspenthar, Thuvia Dear Captain Kleft,
Sunday 27 Lama
The gods are interested in this endeavor with the temples. Ursa, who was very very dead when left at the temple who could not revive her, came back from the dead, apparently by the hand of Shelyn and Cailean. Ursa remembers some of what happened, that three gods were talking around her and someone else was about. Someone she thinks was my mother. That she wanted to tell me something, but Ursa doesn’t remember what it was. The whole idea that the gods were interested in this group is unreal and hard to accept with my mother being there on top of everything else?
But.
When Ursa awoke, she had a map tattooed on her back. Its still there as I write this. It was not there before and the only the gods could have put it there. Or the priests, but that's doubtful. Syra looked at the map tattoo and knew the route, one no one but a Verisian would know. Regardless, when we showed it to the map maker in town, it was confirmed and the maker's mark of the two gods were there. Its to Turtleback Ferry.
In other matters, we are returning to the Foxglove estate tomorrow. We are bringing fire and a priest to deal with what remains.
Oathday 31 Lama
Written from the deck of the Swallow heading to Magnamar.
We got back to the manor house by 8am and down into the basement some time after that. All the moss and mold had grown back. For a split second, in the far wall of the room, there was a terrible face, the face of the failed lich, coming through the moss. Words can not begin to express how terrifying it was. I could not talk for it. The priest wasn’t affected. He came in and started his long ritual, one that lasted the day and night. Nothing happened in that time, but it was unnerving. When the priest finished, the whole house collapsed down upon us. The whole house was his pilactry phylactery so it died with him when the evil was cleared.
Thankfully, we were in the basement with a well shaft so up it we went and out we got. Ran was still there with the soldiers and we set fire to the crumpled heap. Never have a been so happy to see something burn as I did that day. Not even the ship off
Stab and Seph needed to report about the manor to people in Magnamar. We are looking to dock much later tonight. Enjoying the sea while I can.
Fireday 1 Neth
Docked late, but got a room for the night while the elves went to their home elsewhere. Learned about the doings on around here including some strange murders targeting the aristocracy. The bodies were carved with a 7 pointed star and faces missing and that seems connected to this temple trouble we have been dealing with.
We are staying with the elves now, in their mansion, after we were invited. Of all their family, I like their brother, Josua, the most. He is very interesting and takes a keen interest in things, even if it doesn’t look like it. Very political, but in as good a way as can be expected for a fop. The other sib, a sister, is queer and alluff. She doesn’t like us and nor do we her and her sycophants. The mother is ok and the dinner fine.
I think the best thing to come out of dinner was an offer to an Opera from Josua. With him and Ursa, it promises to be fun, one way or another.
Starday 2 Neth
There are over 2000 Ulf out in long boats a league or closer to Magnamar. 12 plus ships just sitting out there, not doing anything. The city knows about it, and are leary of it, but can’t do anything about it since they are here as escorts for a Minkai delegation. Heard about it from the Ulf’s oaf cousin.
Received an invitation to see Ami here in town, another to a Gala, and a summons from a Justicar IronBriar next week. I’m looking forward more to seeing Ami, and Bethanna, than any of the others. I wonder what the Kaijisu house looks like and if its like Minkai buildings. It being the old home of Lord Kaijisu, I would think so.
 Much affection,

Starday 28 of Lama
That manion is a barnacled cesspit ship with a one way ticket to the bottom and I’m going to be holding the torch when we do it. It’s haunted and old and evil, with carrion birds sitting on the piles of rubble, waiting for us to go in and swarm to keep us from leaving. The place stank of rot, mold, and decay of the foulest sort, Stab says from magic. I’ll take him at that.
We all got possessed at some point and found out more than we wanted to know about the Foxglove family. Alden killed his new bride, Vernal killed all his family, other than those out of town, another was forced to kill themself, yet another set fire to the servants quarters and I would not be surprised to learn killed them. All due to one guy wanting to be a lich and not telling his wife. She interrupted the process and killed him...kinda. The whole building became the house for his soul and he infected anyone of his bloodline to inhabit it. Alden was the last one and we saw him in the basement after searching the rest of that place and seeing memories of times not now. The wife of Alden was in the attic, an undead revenant that dug through 2 floors to get to her killer before the undead gobs stopped her. We found him though, before an altar dedicated to the elf Sephronia, her undergarments draping over it, him begging us to leave him. I never thought someone could be creepier then Dan, but he was. The failed lich took over him then and fought us, but we put him down for the moment.
Ursala was killed in the chaos, but we are hoping to go to Magnamar to revive her, if the gods will it and she accepts it. The priests at the local temple aren’t favored enough to be able to do such a divine feat apparently.
We have to come back with a priest to finish this lich. I’m not looking forward to this.
Much affection,

to: Cap. A. Kleft Star of Desna Port Office, Aspenthar, Thuvia Dear Captain Kleft,
Moonday 22 of Lama
The murder last night is similar to an attack on a merchant party a few days ago. The bodyguards were killed like the miller, but the merchant was left alive. Insane, but alive at the sanitorium some way out of time, run by a guy from Magnamar. Hopefully we will find out some answers.
Weldday 24 of Lama
Last two days have been a mess and blend together. This area attracts more trouble then the dock after last call on freeday.
Found a necromancer, a quack, and a were-rat plus some demons at the sanitorium. The owner kept the Necromancer in the basement and thought it was a good idea and that he was ‘helping’ people. He, and the inmates, were dealt with, though not without some pain. The army arrived late, as they do, took control of the situation, if it could even be called that. Rode back and let the sheriff know what was going on.
That night, a farmer came from the south farms looking for help. Naturally we rode out in the middle of the night to save what people we could. By the time we get there though, the ghouls killed a lot of the homesteads. We found people hung up like scarecrows to die slow and painfully after we cleaned out a farm of ghouls. I think the elf said it would eventually make them into ghouls as well, like the insane merchant we found at the sanitorium. What a horrible way to go.
We all decided it would be better investigate the area the following day so that's what we did. The army went one way, we another to locate people and get them to safety. Got some people sent to town before what was left of the army ran right into us being chased by a pack of ghouls. Their LT. was killed in the skirmish. Sent them back to town with some of Shoji’s house men.
The last farm we looked at gave us the answers we needed. One of the ghouls was the caretaker of a mansion farther down the road with a note of him. It basicly told us this whole mess came from. That cursed manor house. We are going down there after we rest up.
Sorry about the stains, didn’t get the paper out of the way when the Ulf was showered in beer. His bed warmer dumped him.

Sunday 15 of Lama
I miss the Star and being on the sea, cleaning the salt off everything, and climbing the lines.
Wealday 17 of Lama
More merchants are coming and going. Looks like they are investing in the area thanks to clearing out the gob rock and military coming up to secure the road. The shops look to make a tidy profit if they work with right, though I’m surprised no scholars have come up to look at the ruins yet. One of the elves said they were really old, over 10,000 or some ridiculous number and with all the gossipy merchants coming and going, it should be all over Magnimar. Well, we will see. More Sizarni hanging around then I like, but we will deal with that if anything comes of it. The Ulf will delight in that.
Resting up before going out to investigate a lead at Turtle Back Ferry about Raveni going that way. Might learn more, but I’m not sure if the rest of the crew is going out that way anytime soon. Shame.
Fireday 19 of Lama
Tales of undead or other strange things are coming up from the south coast road. Something strange is happening and we are like to find out.
Sunday 21 of Lama
What a night! Quiet all week and then activity! Death! Getting woke in the dead of night! The Ulf’s bed warmer woke us up with tears and lamenting, her father looking to kill her sister’s lover at the sawmill. Thats not much of a reason to kill someone so we ran out to the mill to intervene and there the girl’s father was, standing stock in the middle of the sawmill room, staring at the body of his daughter. I still feel bad for him, it was such a grisly sight. The miller was opened up like a gutted fish and the daughter was on the floor, neck sliced, ground slick with blood.
The Ulf tried to reason with the father, to get him out and away from such a horrible sight, but he went mad with grief. We get him out the door, but not before I was laid out, nose adding my own blood to the floor. Took the rest of the group to keep the father and living girl out and explain the situation to the guard while I took a look upstairs. That trail lead to a window and on the far bank was glowing eyes. Not sure what it was, but I’ve seen the damage that thing can do to a person and I’m not keen to go up against it.
With this crew though, it's an asurety we will.
Keen eyes and clear sky.
Much affection,

Dear Captain Kleft,
Wealday 10 of Lama
Up at a gob encampment. Ended up finding basterdson and his object of obsession here and the whole affair wasn’t pretty. To start with, we cleaned out a mazy mess nest before getting to their main fortifications. Ursala was great with how she turned bear scared the gobs witless bursting out of bushes, scattering gobs right and left. It was fantastic.
Then we had to cross a gob made bridge to get at the rest of them. I’m the right size for a gob so I got dressed up and sent over to make sure everything was ship-shape before the bigger folk started. Had no problems disabling a simple trap on the bridge before making my way to the roof and taking care of two sentries, lazy though they were. Before I could open any doors, Ursala got impatient and clawed her way to the roof, distracting all the gobs and destroying everything in her path along with the door!  I think that’s how the rest of my crew got in as I headed down at that point and couldn’t see them.
It took me a while to get back to them, avoiding things where I could, but ultimately listened for the loudest sound and found them right in the thick of it. It took a while to clean them out, but we did. Found a horse stuffed in a shed. An actual shed. I’m not sure how it fit really.
We continued downstairs and found bastardson and his crew planning destruction or some such. The panicked at the sight of us and ran every which way. We got split up a bit following all the people, but it ended up with us killing most of them, but two in the main hall. That’s when the Natalia came in.
I have never see something so lovely, yet so ugly and monstrous at the same time. It was like an angel finding misshapen deep dweller parts and attempted to meld them to her, reveling in their grotesqueness and twisting all meaning to the opposite in her insanity. The battle was long and hard, the whole day was, but we beat her and hers. We made due for the night in their thankfully clean beds
Over the next 4 days, we cleared out the rest of the place, finding a bad off prisoner, yet another temple and chapel to the goddess of monsters. Shadows only magic weapons harm, yeth hounds, dogs that their yowl causes panic in the listeners, a recording in light and sound of a lord long dead, and a monstrously large dog gob thing were the strangest things, but the best one was a hermit crab the size of a giants head! It had a huge helmet as a shell!
Today, the 10th, Ursala ran back to town for workers to rebuild the downed bridge while we tossed the bodies into the water. Looking forward to not being here tomorrow.
Fireday 12 of Lama
Finally got back today. So tired from the last week. There was talk of the gob island becoming an outpost, not sure. Looking forward to bed.
Best wishes and fair winds.
Much affection,

PS. Chaim is dead, attacked me while sleeping. I’m fine

Fireday 5 of Lama
Last few days have been fairly quiet, mostly recovering from out temple cleaning. Notified the local priest of the unholy temple and got confirmation it was to the Goddess of Monsters. Nasty work.
Last night was Ami’s last performance before heading out in the morning for Magnimar. I’m sad to see her go, but family stuff overrides her desire to stay. Thanks to helping her and hers, we get to stay free till we leave or something like that. Very nice of her. Best part? I did get a lead!
Her halfling handlady, Bethana, took me out to the farmlands to meet one Windra Corwin, her aunt. From there, I met tons of her family as well as apparently mine! Talked to Nani Abren, my grandma, and learned from stuff abt Riveni. Riv has quite the reputation even now, even if it’s not the best. Nani Windra They remembered you stopping by years and years ago and asking after Riv. Learned about who she went off with, a few of their names, and they were heading Turtleback up the river. Looking to go up after we deal with the gob problem and find the basterdson.
Heading out to deal with gob encampment to the NE along the coast. Don’t know when we will be back in town or how long this will take so I’m sending this early.
Hope you had fair winds to Sothis. Next letter sent to Absalom unless I’m delayed.
Much affection,

Dear Captain Kleft,
Moonday 1 of Luma 4707
Its strange, even though this town is not large, so much happens in it. Though that just might be due to goblin invaders, but I’ve never seen so much action outside a pier bar brawl and just as gruesome at times. A Minkai Royal came into the inn after I finished the last letter and shouted at his daughter, Amiko, the owner of the RD inn. We didn’t know what was going on really, but there was smoke and spit and not something I wanted to deal with. Shoji kinda broke it up and we went to bed. The only reason why I mention this is that this last afternoon we were alerted to Ami’s disappearance. She got a letter from her half-brother and ran off to see him at the glass-works at mid-night. There is so much operatic non-sense going on in that family can barely keep track, but in the end the Lord Minkai died burn in and outside by molten glass at his bastardson’s hands, allied with goblins, and torture his half-sister to death. Only reason shes not is because we were there and killed off all the gobs.  We followed him as far as we could, but I think either the Ulf or Shoji didn’t think it wise to follow them into smugglers tunnels. Turns out pirates because there are always pirates somewhere. I didn’t go down and see as I was guarding the one Gob we captured, but it sounds like we will do that later after we let the town guard know whats going on.
Wealday 3 of Luma
Was in the catacombs the last two days. Bastardson didn’t stay long and cleaned out the 1st, but we didn’t want the gobs to come back in this way so we went exploring. The tunnel lead down to a hidden cave with two side tunnels. We later found out one lead nowhere, but the other lead under the lighthouse. Apearently! This was a temple! I don’t remember the goddess name, but might be the goddess of monsters. Not sure. Likes mutated stuff though. Well I ended up in front and a good thing too since there were traps and all sorts of demons and ugly things that could have swarmed us. One of us, I don’t remember who, said they were Sin Spawn, or mutates, and Vargoles. That last one looked like a head and can suck the life out of you. We fought a lot of them though and ended up in a twisted chapel with a Quazit, an ugly tiny flying demon, as priestess. It was like a gnat fly buzzing around my face she was so annoying. Only just got her down and killed. Then, then we looked the rest of the place over and found a mutated gob in a room with zombie holes. I nearly fell down them twice! I don’t know what the town will do, but I hope they cleanse this place out. Out of all of this, the most annoying was that idiotic elf Stab. He nearly got me killed! He didn’t listen to me when I explicitly said not to stand where he stood. Ugg! Out of all of this, I may get a contact for a lead. Hope so.

Sunday 30 of Rova
So much stuff!
We started guard duty for the town Toilday. Lots of guards were killed so we are filling in. The town is rather pleased we helped out on the gob invasion. I helped on the day guard and Oren led us around. We looked at a lot of stuff. It was like that guided tour I went on, but I had a guard guide instead of that cute gnome in Sothis that almost got me lost. Shame I couldn’t find him later. At least I got a good look at the town from that spinneret. Anyways, learned lots, no fights, but guards sure know how to gossip almost as much as sailors.
There was another attack from gobs that night, but there was only one coming up out of the floor boards. We think it got lost and trapped and ate the family dog and father? I think? I know there was a body and we added the gob body.
Then for a bit it was all quiet so we went after the gobs using dump to get junk for weapons on Starday. We boated out, got on to the dump looking around when the gobs came up out of the garbage! Like whales breaching! We drove them back out of the dump and collected anything we thought they might use.
Foxglove asked us all to a boar hunt to show off to Seph. Everyone got full horses, including me, but I rode with the Ulf because 1. You know how well I get along with horses and 2. that horse was huge and I would have looked ridiculous on it! That thing was more unsafe then unlashed sails in a hurricane. Yeah, no.
So this morning we went out there looking, on our part, for gobs when this huge boar showed up! The nob got himself gored on it within 30 seconds and we had to protect the rest of the hunting party. It might have taken longer, but that Ork? Ursala? She can turn in to a bear! Ursa ripped right into it and sprayed us in its blood. I was soaked and I’m sure everything will taste like copper for a month. Well, a day at least. Ursa snatched the idiot from the jaws of death and he should like her more than Seph. Not that he will, because orc and he’s a flop (I think that’s what they called him), but he should. Had a nice long bath after that.
Also Sabastian is a bastard. He’s Seph’s brother and is a bastard.
Hope you are well and this gets to you in Sothis. Say hey to the crew for me.
Much affection,

Dear Captain Kleft,
Moonday 24 of Rova 4707
The last few days ashore have been interesting and different than anything else I’ve lived through on land and it occurred to me that you might like to hear about them. I’ll send them when I can since I don’t know how far inland my travels will take me, but look for them at the ports from here on out. They should be waiting for you when you dock after Solthis if my timing is correct with a few pages in each.
The Swallowtail Festival Is going on here in Sandpoint! After dropping our stuff off at the Rusty Dragon inn, we went down to the temple yard to participate. The games were fun, but some ugly, sickening Gobs showed up, yelling and burning and trying to kill everyone and thing and there wasn’t enough guard around to do anything about it.
Jumping into action, my crew killed a bunch of them. The Ulf even threw me into to fray and I landed it perfect, killing it before going on to save an Alder Foxglove, Noble out of Korvosa, by the north gate. He thinks himself in love with the elf lady spy, Sephronia. It’s not mutual, but it seems the crew will taking advantage of the one-way affliction.
Today, Moonday, we went to investigate a mausoleum that had tons of Gob prints around it and got attacked by skeletons summoned from a robe. Shoji, the Royal Minkai, was nearly killed, but Seph and I saved him. The rest of the crew helped with the clean up. Hopefully we can staved off another big Gob attack with what we learned. Tonight we will be helping with the watch.
