Hi!
I live in Minneapolis and I’m looking for a way to use my tiny platform to get some help to my hurting city.
The murder of George Floyd has woken up the white people in our state tot he flagrant racism in the MPD(Minneapolis Police Department) and on top of that, white supremacists, stupid fuck bois from out of town, and other assholes who have nothing to do with the protesters have moved into our neighborhoods and are destroying black, immigrant and native american owned businesses, and are burning our city down.
We need to defund the MPD and have structural change.
I know I haven’t been posting much recently and I haven’t been writing much at all so I doubt this will get much support which is understandable and fine but I wanted to offer what I can to get some support to my community.
If you like my writing and feel like you can spare any amount of money, please donate to one of these causes:
George Floyd Memorial Fund
Reclaim the Block
WeLoveLakeStreet
Unicorn Riot
North Star Health Collective
Black Visions Collective
If you do and you shoot me a screenshot or some type of proof that you did, whatever the amount, I’ll write whatever request you send my way. I won’t be able to get them out tonight, but I’ll start getting them out tomorrow. They’ll be no less than 1,000 words and they’ll be pretty much whatever you want it them be. If you have questions, message me.
Please, do what you can and I’ll get writing.
Love to you all.

Actually life is beautiful because the sound I make while trying to breathe around hot food sounds like my dog trying to eat an apple. When I yawn my cat tries to put his face in my mouth like a little dentist man and when he yawns I put my finger in his obligate-carnivore trapzone and we both know he will not hurt me. When I do not fold my clothes, they do not hold it against me.
I am demonstrably sad, and lonely, and full of fear. But there are other people who will hold my hand, who will point out the hawk overhead, who will give you That Look in a public place. The other day at a coffee shop a child said "look! It's snowing!" so all of us strangers went to go look out the windows. It wasn't the first snow and it won't be the last but wasn't it lovely, like that?
How wonderful to live in a world where birds and frogs both say beep! How wonderful to have an ocean of beautiful sharks with their dinosaur teeth! How wonderful the moon and her changing face, how wonderful the bees and their dancing to communicate, how wonderful shrimp and their forbidden layers of vision! How wonderful, you, and what you will give the world! The way we love things enough to spend entire blogs devoted to them? How people will let me explain my Pokemon team to them? How we will both jump at the scare in the movie, how we laugh so loudly, how it feels to give someone your baking? How wonderful to be alive. I am sorry for forgetting.
This is the process of getting better. With wonderful people and wonderful strangers and wonderful friends: I am getting better, slowly. Thank you, whoever you are. In some way, you've been wonderful, and left a wonderful place in the world to ripple out to me. In some small way - isn't it beautiful - I promise, you've been helping.

It's okay to not be
Cooking fancy things and uploading aesthetic pictures of it on Instagram
Taking an online course and upgrading your knowledge and skills
Painting and reading and writing more than you normally would
Able to maintain a super tight sleep cycle and daily schedule
Video calling a loved one every day
Having virtual dance parties or movie nights with your friends
Sure of what life will be like when the pandemic is over
Meeting the goals you set for your self when 2020 started
It's been a while since the Coronavirus pandemic + lockdown started and if you're safe at home things may have become slightly normalised by now. But we are still living through a global pandemic.
So it's okay if you don't try making dalgona coffee (and it's okay if you do) and it's okay if you are doing what you're supposed to like work and studying and then not being productive or social or aesthetic for the remaining hours. Even those 'basic' obligations take so much from you mentally at a time like this.
Honestly, I'm feeling it physically too now. I just spent all of today lying down on my bed because for a reason I can't fathom I felt like every trace of energy had left my body.

Quarante-cinquième jour de confinement.
... Enfin, en ces temps-là rappelez-vous, il n’était pas rare d’avoir 2 à 3 vendredis soir par semaine.
