#design home#living room#cottagecore#daily challenge#I think? not positive#red and brown with blue and green notes#and yellow#warm tones#I feel like as a tumblr user I'm uniquely qualified to judge good cottagecore because did not that term originate on this very webbed site?#it should feel like if your grandma's house was your house#cozy and warm. floral and vintage#rich with patterns and soft textures#that's my metric I guess#it's like koselig and hygge. kind of intangible and tough to define but knowable all the same#honestly I don't always agree with the things the new cottagecore style filter turns up#but I'm very pleased with this space. I think I nailed the vibe#my first cottagecore space since they made it a thing and I think I really got it#from the fox table to the flowers#not to toot my own horn but I guess when I share stuff on here it's usually because I really like how it came out :)

#design home#bathroom#main home open house#green and pink and blue#it's not often that I do bathrooms--tbh there's not usually much to design in them? but I really like how the vibes of this one turned out#bright and colorful yet soothing... I didn't love the wall options at first but that green really grew on me#it feels silly to have a chair and footstool in a bathroom tbh but I suppose there's only so much you can design in a bathroom#it's my first non season challenge in a while but I do like the open house challenges#it's nice to be able to pick wall colors and flooring. gives you more range#I really like that pink plant too. shame that one's limited‚ it's fun#I already only have one use yet#but yeah. I quite like this one :)

#design home#living room#purple pink and white#this one's from a bit longer ago but I don't think I've posted it#I was just thinking I should put some more purple on this blog#it's my favorite color but obviously I go for variety#but I do like when a challenge lets me lean into it more :)#I love this wallpaper#I wish those pillows weren't a limited item too. they were from the Mumbai series#yeah this is a simpler palette but pretty well balanced I think#some colors I'm quite fond of :)

#design home#season challenge#kid's bedroom#coral and teal#the blurb on this one said that the kid is an aspiring artist so I tried to make the room as artsy as possible#I felt like the paintings I put on the wall could conceivably have been things the kid painted themself#I mean it never gives you an age of the kid whose room you're designing but I guess I did imagine this one to be like a little older#like maybe ten to a tween? so I also put the origami on their desk thinking that could be something they make too#I had story on this one to go with the color palette haha#originally I had the easel out since they're an artist but it has the alphabet on it and just felt too juvenile for the kid I'm imagining#but yeah. I feel like a room with lots of patterns and a tight color palette is perfect for an artist :)#it's a fun one. I love that squid prop too. it just amuses me :)

#patio#design home#my homes#dream home#purple yellow pink and turquoise#finally finished my dream home patio!#it's been a process but I'm pretty pleased with it :)#gotta live up to my colorful moniker#I didn't really use outdoor furniture but I can imagine that it is#I mean it's not like I have to worry about it getting wet#although if this was my real house I'd love to have a swimming pool out there#yeah this would be a really fun space to have#*continues yearning for a house irl*#at least I can make imaginary houses out of colorful pixels...#I think I made a fun lively space :)

#design home#season challenge#living room#boat#room on a boat#blue and orange-brown#I keep looking at my designs and going “surely this will be my first 5 star design”#guess it isn't completely perfectly balanced but I thought it might be up there#I ran with the circle motif of the portholes in the chair backs and table art#I felt like the room felt too unnatural with the exact same art on both sides but maybe symmetry scores better#oh well. it's still a really good score and I don't want to do everything just to please the voters#also got a new cat :)#I love the little vest‚ it feels very boat cat#:)

I love a good faerie house :)#and it wound up being one of my two highest rated designs!#and of the two I liked this one better#honestly I'm not certain I'd've scored it quite this high but I'm not complaining#it is cute and cozy.
