Our planet is choking on plastic
It is time to change how we produce, consume,s and dispose of the plastic we useAlthough plastic has numerous beneficial applications, our reliance on disposable plastic products has led to severe consequences for the environment, society, economy, and health.
Every minute, a million plastic bottles are purchased globally, and five trillion plastic bags are used annually.
A staggering 50% of all plastic manufactured is intended for one-time use, after which it is discarded. Plastic pollution, including microplastics, is now present everywhere in our natural environment forming part of the fossil record of the current geological era, the Anthropocene.
The term "plastisphere" even denotes a new marine microbial habitat formed by plastic waste.Other concerning patterns are also emerging. Plastic production has outpaced all other materials since the 1970s, and it is expected that the world will produce 1,100 million tons of primary plastic by 2050 if current growth rates continue.
Furthermore, we are witnessing a troubling trend toward single-use plastic products designed to be discarded after a brief period of use.Approximately 36% of plastic manufactured is employed in packaging, including single-use plastic items for food and drink containers, with about 85% of them ending up as uncontrolled waste or in landfills.Furthermore, nearly all single-use plastic products, around 98%, are made from fossil fuels or "virgin" feedstock.
The predicted increase in greenhouse gas emissions linked to the creation, use, and disposal of conventional fossil fuel-based plastics will account for 19% of the worldwide carbon budget by 2040."Substantial transformations are necessary to prevent plastic waste from polluting the environment.Of the plastic waste produced globally, which amounts to seven billion tonnes,
only less than 10% has been recycled. Millions of tonnes of plastic waste are lost to the environment or sometimes transported thousands of kilometers to places where it is mainly burnt or disposed of. The cost of plastic packaging waste, which is estimated to be between US$80-120 billion, is lost annually during sorting and processing.
The most prevalent form of plastic waste found in the environment is cigarette butts, whose filters include tiny plastic fibers. Food wrappers, plastic bottles, bottle caps, plastic shopping bags, plastic straws, and stirrers are the next most common items. Many of us use these items every day, without considering where they end up.Rivers and lakes transport plastic waste from deep inland to the ocean, contributing significantly to ocean pollution.
Despite current efforts, it is believed that between 75 and 199 million tonnes of plastic are currently present in our oceans. If we don't modify how we manufacture, use, and dispose of plastic, the amount of plastic waste entering aquatic ecosystems could almost triple from 9-14 million tonnes per year in 2016 to a predicted 23-37 million tonnes per year by 2040. How does it get there?
Much of it comes from the world's rivers, which act as direct conduits of garbage into lakes and the sea."We have witnessed a lot of positive steps, but the reality is that we must all do more and eliminate the source of plastic pollution.
There are numerous steps that an individual can take, such as requesting restaurants to avoid plastic straws, carrying your own coffee mug to work, or pressuring local authorities to improve waste management. Take the Clean Seas commitment and adopt new behaviors to minimize your plastic impact.
To offer encouragement, here are eleven things we can all do to #BeatPlasticPollution for #CleanSeas:Clean Up a Beach: If you reside close to the coast, participate in beach clean-ups in your area. Or, take your family on a beach stroll and initiate your own clean-up.Clean Up a River:
Rivers are direct pathways of plastic waste into the ocean. Join a river clean-up or conduct one yourself! The river will appear cleaner and benefit its ecosystem and the ocean.Shop Sustainably:
When shopping, choose food that has no plastic packaging, carry a reusable bag, purchase local products, and refill containers to decrease your plastic waste and impact on the environment.
This 5 June join IPC in the global effort to #BeatPlasticPollutionwith United Nations Environment Program - UNEP

The Link Between Environmental Conservation, Peace, and Human Security Environmental conservation,
peace, and human security are interconnected issues that are critical to building a sustainable future for all. The degradation of natural resources, such as land, water, and forests, can exacerbate existing conflicts, fuel new ones, and threaten the livelihoods and well-being of communities.
This is why the International Peace Commission has made it a priority to address these issues and help build a more peaceful and sustainable world.Through its work, the International Peace Commission has recognized that environmental degradation and resource scarcity can lead to conflicts over access to natural resources, such as water and land.
These conflicts can further exacerbate existing social and political tensions and lead to violence and displacement. In this context, environmental conservation can serve as a pathway to peace by promoting sustainable and equitable management of natural resources, reducing conflicts over access to resources, and creating a more stable and resilient environment for communities. Moreover, environmental conservation is essential for human security.
The health of the environment is directly linked to human well-being, as it provides us with the air we breathe, the water we drink, and the food we eat. Environmental degradation can lead to health problems, food and water insecurity, and displacement, which can undermine human security and create social and economic instability.Through its various initiatives,
The International Peace Commission has worked to promote environmental conservation as a key component of building peaceful and resilient communities. The commission has organized conferences, webinars, and training sessions to build the capacity of peacebuilders and environmental activists to integrate environmental considerations into their work. It has also partnered with local environmental organizations to organize community clean-up events and tree-planting activities in conflict-affected areas.
The International Peace Commission recognizes the critical linkages between environmental conservation, peace, and human security. It has taken significant steps to promote environmental conservation as a pathway to peace and human security. It is now up to all of us to support these efforts and work together to build a more peaceful, sustainable, and secure world for all.

Stress Relief Healing Music -Sleep Music, By WebNext Agency
Stress Relief Healing Music -SleepMusic, Produced By Prince Hassan for WebNext Agency www.webnextagency.com
Effects of Music on sleep While the reasons why music can help you sleep better aren’t clear, it may have to do with the relaxing effect that a good song can have or the fact that music may trigger feel-good chemicals in the brain. Music can have real physical effects, too, by lowering your heart rate and slowing your breathing
Our brains are wired to respond to music. And since our brain sends signals to every part of our body, music can affect us in a variety of ways. On a physiological level, our breathing and heart rate will mirror the beat of a song. Different types of songs can also alter our body chemistry and hormone levels.
“In meditation, healing can happen. When the mind is calm, alert, and totally contented, then it is like a laser beam – it is very powerful and healing can happen.” Only a healthy bud can blossom. In the same way, only a healthy being can succeed.
So, what is it to be healthy?
To attain a perfect state of health, one has to remain mentally calm, steady, and emotionally stable. ‘Swasthya’ means health. It also means being in one's self. Swasthya or health is not just confined to the body and the mind but it is also connected with the consciousness. The clearer the consciousness is, the more well-being is gained.

For Best Results use good quality headphones .
Let me take you to a magical journey via this Calm and Mysterious music theme that i have compiled for you.
Music can reduce sympathetic nervous system activity, decrease anxiety, blood pressure, heart and respiratory rate and may have positive effects on sleep via muscle relaxation and distraction from thoughts.
The Verdict: Certain music may indeed help you catch better Z's
“Yes, there is data that suggests that music can help people fall asleep,” says Michael Breus, Ph.D., upwave sleep expert and author of The Sleep Doctor's Diet Plan: Simple Rules for Losing Weight While You Sleep. But the kind of music you choose makes a difference. Music that has a relatively slow beat may help your body hit its internal snooze button. “If you play Guns 'N Roses, chances are low that it will put you to sleep,” says Breus.
The music-sleep connection has been supported in studies all over the world. It works in young people and elderly men and women. Heck, music even helps people with schizophrenia get some shut-eye. A recent meta-analysis of music-sleep studies focusing on 10 high-quality studies found that music helps people with both short-term and chronic sleep problems.
