CERTIFICATE OF ORIGIN The leather of this bag has been saved, it was almost thrown away. It is leather that was used for school bags in the 1970s. The production of these bags stopped when schoolkids prefer other kind of bags to put their books in. So the factory went bankrupt, the leather was placed in a cellar, and it took 50 years (!) before it reappeared when the building was renovated. Too good a story to revive this beautiful material and bring it back into daylight, isn't it? So we cleaned and dusted and re-worked the leather in a way that makes it easy for you to make your own bag! HANDMADE IN THE NETHERLANDS OF 100% VEGETABLE TANNED LEATHER AND NO CHEMICALS ARE USED.
