“You do realize what time it is, right?”  hello!

                          ———   ◢  to think he was alone , walking the streets of yokohama in the night , with the cold night air swirling up underneath his clothes, billowing his coat behind him. faded neon lights cast a sickly purple to pink glow upon his face, cheek turning a color to match. even though it was in the early hours of the morning , the bustle of the city had rang in the distance although faint and quiet; sirens off in the distance , car honks , noises with unknown sources. he finds a spot , kicked a scrap of trash with his foot, &&. promptly fell back against a rough brick wall . hands sliding into pockets , he shuffles through random objects until he finds a familiar paper carton &&. a worn metal lighter.

lighting a cigarette, he looks up to the sky, takes a drag, &&. exhales deeply from his lungs- feeling a habitual calmness wash over him. closing his eyes for a second , he missed hearing the woman walking down the street before she came to pass him. however, she didn’t pass him. instead, she stopped- &&. her voice slightly surprised dazai.

❛ hm…actually, no- it’s been a long night. ❜

eyes opened, a head tilted in slight curiosity- he squints in a routine process of scanning &&. reading the people who dare to approach him. a soft laugh , recognizing her as a member of the famed agency, he takes another drag, drops the cigarette, &&. press it down under his heel.

          ❛  mister  dazai  ?  i  kind  of  like  the  sound  of  that  …  however  ,  just  dazai  is  fine  .  we  don’t  need  such  formalities  ,  do  we  currer  bell  ?    ❜      

           like  a  cat  toying  with  its  prey  ,  dazai  enjoyed  coursing  those  who  landed  within  arms  reach  .  he  had  vaguely  known  of  the  woman  before  him  ,  both  simply  perceptive  &&.  informed  of  the  possibility  of  crossing  paths  with  her  ,  instructed  to  not  meddle  in  her  business  ——  however ,  dazai  has  never  headed  such  words  with  much  care  .  fingers  oddly  pristine  for  one  in  his  line  of  work  ,  (  ah  but  he  rarely  dirties  his  own  hands  now  )  ,  comb  through  silken  hair  ;  albeit  short  in  length  .  

            ❛  &&.  oh  i  desire  much  more  than  that  ,  i  would  love  to  be  strangled  by  your  beautiful  hands  until  my  heart  gives  out  &&.  i  die  in  your  arms  .  although  ,  i  would  much  rather  die  with  a  beautiful  lady  .  care  to  join  me  ?  ❜      

            a  light  chuckle  escapes  forth  from  a  devilish  smirk  ,  hands  moving  from  hair  to  down  her  neck  .  fingertips  lightly  gracing  nape  ,  moving  forward  afterwards  to  caress  the  executioner’s  cheek  .  staring  in  the  face  of  death  ,  dazai  bends  over  to  a  slight  angle  ——  eyes  meeting  a  singular  unbandaged  eye  ,  the  executive  notices  the  fire  behind  charlotte’s  eyes  .  the  desire  to  harm  him  ,  something  that  dazai  would  be  content  with  ;  even  pleased  by  .  

              ❛  hmmmm…  perhaps  i  have  a  question  for  you——  but  what  fun  would  it  be  to  spoil  the  big  question  in  such  short  time  ?  ❜
