     The 13th Division is always excited to see new recruits, especially Crystal. She enjoys giving them the hardship of training, and making them into comrades of W A R when the time arises. Crystal was amazed that she could even recruit someone, she’s never done that before, but at least Sakura seemed interested nonetheless. 

     “Well, I will put in my word of recommendation to Ukitake-Taichou, and we will deliver a letter of approval to your home. However, you are more than welcome to come by the Division as much as you like while you wait. It’ll be good to get antiquated with your new surroundings. Also, if you ever want to train outside of schedule recruit training, my quarters are open to you, and we can find a quite place to concentrate.” Crystal gave a faint smile, and silver hues softly looked at the female. 

“Of course! I’ll look forward to the letter when it comes to my doorstep at East Rukongai around 30th District!” That’s where she definitely lives especially she’s now on her own. A letter from Ukitake is definitely a worthwhile of a wait so that she can be a legit member from the Thirteenth.

As she should be heading on her home right now but yes, Crystal welcomes a nobody like Sakura which she appreciated it. Now she had to come home because she’s excited.

“I-I guess i should go home now. Thank you for this moment and time!” Bows and now running back to her home, hoping not to get lost...

     A thin brow rose as she spoke. Some story that Squads are so picky now-a-days. Crystal believes that talent comes from one’s heart, or even their soul. There is always room for improvement, and motivation to become stronger is in every Shinigami. 

     “Hmmm…” Crystal hums in a moment of thought, perhaps she can help. “Tsuki, Kessho, I am the 3rd Seat of Division 13th under Juushiro Ukitake. Ukitake-Taichou is a kind O L D M A N in a way, but he gives hope to all members in his Division. With your determination to get stronger, I’d be willing to train with you, and recommend you to my Taichou. That is, if you want. You can sleep on the offer if you want as well, but we could always use bright, enthusiastic recruits.” 

“Juushiro Ukitake. I’ll remember that.” She will definitely will never forget her new captain once she’s now in their squad. Old man? Surely he’s not as old as the Captain-Commander of the first which truly rumored that he is older than that.

Since this will be her very first squad, she’ll definitely gets a chance to get improvement in fighting but also in social too hence she’s sometimes shy on talking to other shinigami since her time at the academy.

“I’m looking very forward in this! My very first squad!” She seemed excited as she was aware how harsh the training is but she’s still going to do it. Sakura can do this!

  a katana, huh… stahl thinks over the information he has been given. the scale armor nixes the idea that they would have come from hoshido themselves, but narrows it down to either askr and embla.

“ if i had to guess, they probably came from embla then. of course, it’s better to make sure with your own two eyes, but i don’t want to make you have to go run into them again if you don’t have to. ”  her lack of knowledge on the realms only cements in the idea of how new she is to here, and if she got a bad feeling from the soldiers, it wouldn’t do to unnerve her further. he could get her back to the order, and report from th—

“ HUH?! did you say search? oh no, they’re not hunting you down, are they? ”  the situation became a lot more dire in just that little bit of time. he calls his mount over with a whistle, and the horse gallops quickly to him.  “ here, i’ll have you ride with me. we should be able to make it back faster that way. no good in sticking around if that’s the case…! ”

“E-Eh? Sure.” Sakura goes behind the horse Stahl was riding. Now this hopes that she wouldn’t lead both of them to their end and the ones pursuing her before meeting him? Now they came with Mage Cavalries armed with Thoron and Wolf Tomes. One of them was also possibly that sword fighter in a horse as well.

“DON’T LET THAT WOMAN GET AWAY!” Seemed the Sword Fighter in a horse was taking the lead while one on the right was about to unleash a thundering attack towards the two on front of them.

“L-LOOK OUT! THAT ONE’S GOING TO HIT US!” While it was charging its energy, Sakura had to tell him to dodge if it ever fires.

     “Unaffiliated?” Crystal never has heard of an unaffiliated Shinigami before. A substitute was different along those lines, but never meet one who hasn’t been accepted into a Division. The Third Seat waved a hand of dismissal at her bow. She wasn’t one for formalities among herself. “Pleasure is mine. So tell me, is there any particular reason you have not been assigned to a Division yet?”  

“Some squads require something and i’m not great at them. I’m even avoiding ended up in the Eleventh because the captain there is a bit scary. Twelfth, i shouldn’t really bother. I tried but got rejected in the end.” Sakura was very aware that she may screw up, she gets an instant expulsion. Her abilities in Shunpo and Kido were almost average but not too mediocre. 

She is indeed a rare case of unemployment in Soul Society that her father, looking and guiding at her be disappointed right now.

“But i’m still not giving up though. As my late father said, ‘Never give up! There’s always hope!’ which is why.”

Voluntary Work

While unaffiliated, she tends to do volunteer works such as patrols and whatnot. These could give her some good time to spend than nothing to do. Even delivery errands, she’d do as long as she gets paid regardless of amount.

Even messenger requests, she’d do it with no complains or less.

“Oh, uh. Yes i am.” Supposed on heading home, here she ends up in a lost direction somewhere in Rukongai. Sakura was a bit stiff on talking to other souls sometimes. She’d admit herself that she was late and her name goes by while at it.

“S-Sakura Shinguji. Unaffiliated to the Gotei 13, nice to meet you.” A bow after.

A minor guest of war

Like several shinigami, Sakura had to be present on aiding her fellow souls on fighting against the Wandenreich. Unlike the Gotei 13, Ichigo’s group and latter, she is merely only nothing but a minor substitute. She only fought the minor quincy soldiers but not one of the Wandenreich members. 

She was supposed to face the letter ‘Q’ quincy but the arrival of Kenpachi made her speechless that she had no choice but to help around if needed. Sakura is definitely one of those ‘footsoldiers’ who survived the war without dying or being weakened. Just in the backlines than the frontlines.

 “ nicknames, huh? if there’s a nickname you like, feel free to tell me. i’m, ah, not really used to your language, so i’m not sure if any nickname i could come up with would really sound nice to you hahaha… ”  or possibly in the worst case scenario, it could very well accidentally sound offensive! though they may all be able to understand one another in zenith, that does not mean language nor cultural barriers no longer existed in their own ways. considering her blunders with foreigners back home, he felt this the safest option to merely ask or let the other person take the initiative.

when she asks about surrounding kingdoms and shady people, stahl thinks it over.

“ well, the order of heroes is with askr, where we report to. there’s nifl which is FREEZING cold, and then múspell which is just the opposite! boy, it’s always hard to figure out how to dress when you march around here… and then… well, the only other kingdom i’ve heard of so far around here is embla. say, these shady people — do you remember anything of what they looked like? maybe their armor? er. if they had any on at all. ”  better to add that last part considering the amount of times they’ve fought foes wearing swimsuits and the like…

“Askr, Nifl, Múspell.” She’ll have to remember the three kingdoms that exist. So Askr was the place where heroes like Stahl report if there’s uncommon things going on? It makes sense as the leader was unknown at the moment. Now this wonders her if an outsider like her will be accepted as theirs.

She is willing to join in any kingdom as long as she treats her well otherwise, she might leave and find someone else to pledge herself to if that time will come. As for how those shady people looked like, she remembered them nicely.

“The ones after me were carrying a katana like mine. They were wearing a helmet, some scale-like armor and a cloak. They should be giving up on searching for me right now.” How she describes the Emblan soldiers that were chasing after her since she popped out of nowhere as she worries a little.

“That will work.” Claire as distraction on the dart-totting ninja general, Sakura disappeared as she finds proper timing and footing to deal with him. She’s a trained sword fighter she knows what she’s doing.

As the female and the ninja general went to a secluded area, this is the part where she lunged towards the enemy by slicing vertically in half. Sloppy aside but that is how Arataka was made to eradicate demons.

“Guess we need to continue running just to lose them.” Literally in her mind right now.

A sigh of relief escaped Diantha upon hearing Sakura’s statement, “Oh thank goodness…Please lead the way then.” She trusted her wholeheartedly at this point, which she was unsure if it was truly safe to do or not, but something in her said it’d be alright with the other girl’s word…

Of course, Diantha had to be ready to support her just in case. She didn’t have her resonating wand, but the small knife she’d carry to cut plants or branches was kept in it’s holster just in case. “Of course. We have to stay alert at all times.” And she was, though mostly out of anxiety. Following after Sakura, one hand always floating near the swordswoman’s sleeve, while the other over her own knife, thankful Sakura hopefully couldn’t see her trembling in the dark.

Left, right as she looks around while moving back to their destination, she expects something surprising that appears both of them much to their concerns. 

“Let there be no monsters coming out of nowhere.” Mumbling to herself while she lets Diantha on her side. If monsters aren’t the worry and so is vagabonds that were in hiding. What they’re hearing from the other side? Wolf howling.

Nervous as she is, from that into an encounter as a wolf did came out of nowhere as it lunged towards Sakura as she raised her sword up, cutting the wolf into half.

“Did i killed it?” Literally her question right now even if the answer was already in front of her.

If only there’s something to deal on that spear-totting ninja general, that’d be great. While being chased trying to overwhelm the two, Sakura had to ensure that they won’t end in corners.

“There must be a rock somewhere.” While scanning on the ground to distract that one ninja general, she needed one so she can make that one winded when hit or at least the weapon in misdirection. Would be appreciated if there’s a slingshot.

“I’ll try to do something so try not to get hit by poison tips!” She had to heed Claire to evade if possible while on pursue.

“Its in the family. My father was the last one wielding it.” Looking at her family heirloom, Reiken Arataka was one of her valuable treasures until now. Some said that it can defeat evil demons as it was proven true on her world since Satan Aoi and his Wakiji legion causing trouble. If Lucifer like swords in a healthy manner, then its mutual for her.

“Well, i still remember it. All we need to do is retrace our tracks safely.” One thing that the girl with the sword is she is not too brave in darker situations like blind darkness without guiding light. Here’s hoping that her tracks are still up because if its gone, this will get their chances moderate to slim on returning back with no harm.

“Stick with me, alright? We won’t know what troubles may get us both into.” Arataka is on her hand, ready to be drawn but something inside her is a doubtful one. Brace yourself, Sakura. You’re escorting a singer.

“Y-Yeah. Returning to town is probably the safest bet right now.” Diantha murmured in agreement, trying to stay near Sakura’s side. They didn’t know each other well, but Diantha felt that sticking close was better than shying away from each other, especially right now.

The real problem was… “Um…Do you remember where the nearest town was?” Having gotten turned around made Diantha lose sight of anything remotely familiar, and couldn’t pick out any path she took in this growing darkness. She just hoped that Sakura was as good a guide as she seemed to be a solider…

small talk makes him smile easy enough, but it quickly turns sheepish when he realizes she knows less about him than the other way around.  “ ah! i-it wasn’t really a guess. sorry to spook you there; i’ve just been here so long that i’m pretty used to sharena introducing all the new heroes with little drawings. but i guess it seems a little scary to have a random guy call you, huh? 

“ i’m stahl. er… no full name. i’m not important enough for that but i’m a proud shepherd all the same! my friends and i come from the world of awakening if you’ve come across a few of them already. ”

She totally never minded that part since he’s friendly. Literally not at all for the wandering swordswoman. Heard also on how Sharena introducing heroes through little drawings? Is this how Askr do their intros? This finds her curious but that faded in a millisecond.

As he’s the only one she encountered as none from the Shepherds from his world, which was Awakening. Definitely not referring to sheepherders. On ‘Sakura’ being a common name in Hoshido or ‘Birthright’? Yes its common that anyone can name their child with it.

“Well it is common there, so yeah. Nicknames exist sometimes.” A simple response on her name being common. After all, her name stands for ‘cherry blossom’ for a reason.

After hearing his name without a surname? Odd but better not to interfere there. Rude to get on someone’s personal life. She made a sincere Hoshidan bow but now back to her intention.

“Were there any good kingdoms around here? I saw some shady people but i don’t even know what nationality they were.” Sakura was referring to those Emblan Swordfighters she saw right before she met Stahl but were there actually other kingdoms exist here? She could need their help and her safety from rival ones.
