The pics of the men when they were younger are positioned against the portraits of the men when they’re older. It gives both pics room to breathe. Pics: Rick Schatzberg: The Boys

FOAM Magazine

Inspiration here for font layout and using negative space. I really like the text outline and stroke use in the first pic - it breaks up the layout really well. What I also like about this magazine is that the font size is on the slightly larger size. Also, the images are allowed to take up space in the mag - they’re not afraid of negative space and this works really well with image-led magazines.
