I dont know if this blog is ok for aroallo vents but I got really fucking pissed off today because all I wanted to do was look up some aro lanyards for my keys and in the whole of the internet I couldnt find jack shit and everything was stuff for other identities. Im really tired of not being able to find anything to do with aro stuff, or places mixing other identities in aro stuff, or putting it the same as ace stuff. I got angry enough that i just decided to drop all the other lgbt labels i have cause if every other identity is more important why dont i just stick to this one? Ugh i know this isnt a very good take or anything im just so fucking ANNOYED. Theres never anything on aros and it feels like the wider community doesnt care. Sorry for the cursing

God bro I wish people would just go and make a good Aro or Ace character in popular media. A character that is explicitly Aro or Ace cause people aren't just gonna naturally be like, oh person no date there for aro,like that's not how the average brain works they just think hmmmmm no date. People gotta know we exist before they pick up on that shit.

I can give you a basic run down so

You can throw asexual or aromantic infront of these and your romantic attraction and sexual attraction can be different

(also this is what these mean to me I would recommend doing your own reaserch)

Aro/Ace a lack of attraction

Gray some attraction but every once in a while with no pattern

Demi only expiriencing attraction when you grow a close platonic relationship

Allo having regular amounts of attraction to people

When I meat a person the first thought in my mind isn't your hot, it's a cool a fellow human person. It makes my friends feel closer when I don't have to pick my favorite and date them.

November day 15: Describe your personal aesthetic

Sweat pants and jeans are what I wear most of the time shorts are just uncomfortable. In the cooler months, I wear either a plain or graphic t-shirt with a sweatshirt over it and in the summer I take the sweet shirt off. I also wear beanies some times and I have long hair about down to the kneck. I dress fairly neutral because I don't like drawing attention to myself and im NB so I want people to see me as more neutral. Also, fuck summer I have to wear short sleeve shirts or I die in the 90 degrees and 80% humidity, of Iowa summers. Then I don't feel comfortable I public spaces cause I hate my body so I just wanna curl up in a ball and disappear. So yes summer is the worst and that's a fact.

Day 13 and going strong: Favorite part of being Aromantic

I don't know if anyone else feels this but romance sounds stress full. Like you need to meet someone connects with them and then figure out if you'll be willing to stand them for the rest of your life. Friendship is so much better I don't have to stress out about who I'm gonna live with for the next 50 years of my life I can just find people I like and if it doesn't work out it doesn't work out.

Also just wanna say thanks for all the support I'm getting on Tumblr and I can't wait to wander the upcoming questions they're gonna be good or maybe shit well just have to see.

I'm not 100% if this is right but you may be talking about a squish, it's like a crush without the romance. When an Aro person wants to get close with a person but they don't want romance just a friendship that's a squish. I don't know you might be talking about something else completely.

A request to all Aromantic people out there. A friend is currently dating someone who identifies as Aromantic & my friend doesn’t know how to tell if their partner is in love.

Can I please ask you to tell me (so i can tell them) how to tell if an Aro person is in love with you?

The difference between them is intimacy because intimacy isn't just sex it's about being close with another person. So if you aren't comfortable being close to someone on a romantic level then try out a QPR. The best advice I've got is to try stuff out with a friend you can trust to not hurt you if you break up. Your mind will question everything the best way to find what you truly like is to live in it. That's how I found my Aromanticism and gender identity I tried things out and I found what I truly wanted.

I'm so confused about what i want most of the time. It's just that i really want to have deep connection with another person and i think i want it to be in a queer platonic way but when i think about what it would be like I'm just thinking that maybe a romantic relationship wouldn't be bad either even though i don't feel romantic attraction. I don't know if that's because society thought me that a romantic relationship perfect is and that it's what we all need in our lives or if i actually want one. November day 12: What are you most confused about amatonormativity

Why do you not like someone because they don't fit normal? Like I've heard family members talk about family members proudly cause they don't have anyone. Why can't we just let people live their life without pushing them into marriages they don't wanna be in. It's just a stupid belief and it's what causes half my stress related to Aromanticism. It's the thought my family will hate me cause I don't want a traditional life.

November day 11: Coming out experience

So far I've not had many problems coming out but that's cause I've come out to my friends who were already in the LGBT community or just didn't care and my fairly liberal sister. The reason I haven't come out to the rest of my family is cause most of them are homophobic and right winged so it's been fun.

November day 10: Favorite Bands

This one's gonna be fun, also the question says bands but I'm also gonna count solo artists in this too.

Tally Hall. Marvin's Mechanical Museum is supper gokd. Also if you like tally hall check out Miracle Musical it was a band from after Tally Hal disbanded and it was made by the guitarist and the drummer.

Jack Stauber. His music is amazing and I really connect with the themes of his music mainly hating God. Pop foods my favorite of his albums and his micro pops a really well made 3-2 song albums.

Lemon Demon. Spirit Phone need I say more. Jk Spirit Phone and View-Monster are my 2 favorite albums.
