St. Trina, slowly wilting at the bottom of the world, The Scadutree avatar who inherited his greatrune, and Miquella the Kind at the very peak of Enir-Ilim.

He not only abandoned his flesh, but went so far as to fracture his very soul. His doubts, his fear, his love. All abandoned in an attempt to fashion a perfect god. To right the wrongs of his mother and people and finally bring the world peace.

His flesh, his power, his birthright, his fate, his fear, his doubts, his love… after leaving all that behind, how much of what’s left is actually Miquella?

Miquella may have hurt many people in his quest for godhood, but he himself was never spared from that very same pain. He may have stripped Radahn and Mohg of their dignity and sense of self to fashion into the perfect consort, but he was just as willing to do the same to himself to fashion into the perfect god.

It has been a long time since he visited. He'd spent so long out of his mind...

Radahn can see the brief moment of panic on Nouma. She realized where they were in the Academy was about to head to the railing. But, relaxed when he threw the ball back.

Her first time exploring the academy wasn't a pleasant one. The ball is her most troublesome memory. Who knows how long she spent attempting to pass it back then.

My HC is that Radahn has absolutely ridiculous appetite so he used to hunt a lot. Whole roast boar for dinner, wasted down with a barrel or two of mead.

And then dessert, obviously.

Radahn being as big as he is is wild. Like all of his family members are already really tall, but he’s just on a whole other level.

But everyone knows that already.

Anyways my point is that his puberty must have been crazyyyyyy. Oh I just know that boy was eating the Carian Royal Family out of house and home while hitting his head on the top of every doorframe 😭

yeah so at this point i'm convinced that miquella didn't just use mohg to access the land of shadows but actually planned for his death because he needed a specific sort of vessel, not just any body, to house radahn's soul. and let's not even talk about how some people claim that mohg kidnapped miquella of his own volition and miquella charmed him (while slumbering, apparently??) out of self-defence - i do not buy for a moment that miquella Just So Happened to be kidnapped by a person who was not only able to get him to the land of shadows, but was also a perfect vessel for radahn's soul. not for a fucking moment.

how does Skyrim not have a single good fruits+vegetables expansion mod that doesn't add tropical stuff

we could use a lot of things that can reasonably grow in Skyrim's climate (such as beets, squash, beans, various berries, parsnips, root celery, rye, etc. and various new dishes involving them). I don't think imported things can make it there with a civil war going on.

Radahn enjoyed the fight, although Miquella's holy incantations almost hurt his eyes with their divine light. His little brother weighed almost nothing in this ascended form, and his presence filled the warrior with warmth and a sense of calm. Their opponents, no matter how brave, ultimately had to fall or submit.

And then, it was over. The Tarnished knelt before them, an adoring look in their eyes. They would never doubt Miquella again.

Radahn was still a bit tempted to cut them down, as payback for Rykard, but he could sense Miquella didn't want any more violence.

The boy and the old knight lay dead. They had been worthy opponents, even more so since neither of them were in their prime.

Radahn stuck his swords into the ground. He was pleased with his new body's fighting skills, but he'd need more time and practice to fully adjust to it.

He glanced at Miquella.

"Thou art so... radiant..."

Radahn could feel power filling him once more, as Miquella was transforming into a god. But the process woudl take a while, and the could not afford to wait. A challenger appeared, as his brother had predicted.

The Tarnished, the brave champion who once bested him in combat. Along with and old man and a frail-looking young lad.

Radahn didn't waste time on courtesies. He pulled his swords from the ground, and flew at them, attacking at once.

The new body worked a bit differently than what he was used to, but it had its advantages. It was faster, more agile, and far more capable of acrobatic moves. Towards the end of his life, he could only really move with gravity. It felt a bit strange to be able to walk and run again.

Yet, with three opponents and still learning his new vessel's limits, the fight wasn't easy. The old man had a dangerous scythe, and the boy used poison. Cowardly tactic...

He managed to beat them, but soon, they returned. Again and again. They were a stubborn sort, but at least Radahn was buying time for Miquella to ascend.

And then, after a dozen or so fights, he was hit with bleed and frost at the same time, and fell on his knees. He heard the blood calling out to him. Whispering, offering power. He only had to tap into it...

For a moment, he hesitated. Such incantations were unworthy of an honourable warrior... but he could sense his vessel's affinity for blood.

Then the Tarnished switched weapons, and pulled out his brother's sword. A corrupted, twisted version of it - but Radahn would still recognize it anywhere. It was him who once had it commissioned as a gift for Rykard.

Thou wilt pay for this, he thought. Even if I have to resort to blood magic...

A red glow surrounded him.

Imagine the mental states of some of the bosses in Elden Ring? No matter how bad these people are, I feel so bad for them. They’ve been subjected to the worst tortures any fictional universe can have.

Radahn? Can you imagine how awful it felt for his mind to slowly be ripped away from him, year by year? Even if it made him harder to charm…. Imagine the pure pain. The loss. The worry that maybe Leonard won’t make it, or worse, he’ll kill Leonard. He’ll release the stars when he can’t think anymore. Perhaps, maybe, he’d die at some point from the rot. Of course, maybe, he knew his Great Rune would burn at the rot and keep his body, but not his mind, going.

Mohg and Morgott? The Omen twins. Do I really need to go into this? Imagine, being cast into the sewers and being told you’re lucky for not nearly being killed as soon as you were born. Your dad can’t save you, even if he should and wanted to, lest he face the literal wrath of a god. Your mother hates you, you don’t know why yet, and it’s all scary. You’re around bigger omens, who are angrier at the world than you are yet. For Morgott, he gets to watch his brother’s horn grow INTO his eye, all while horns grow out of above his eye, half blinding both of them. For Mohg, the slow pressure of having that horn stab into his eye, and having no way to remove it without it getting infected in this sewer water. After you get out, the world you loved is crumbling, the Frenzied flame needs someone to gaurd it, Leyndell doesn’t have a ruler anymore.

Godfrey? He’s not allowed to have emotions. Everything he wants to feel, wants to get out, ultimately suppressed by Serosh. He wants to yell, he wants to sob at Morgott’s death, we see this, but he can’t, Serosh took that ability from him. Even if Serosh mourns for him, it isn’t the same. Say he’s a warlord, a general, but he still has emotions. He’s human, just like the tarnished. He’s steeled against losing comrades, not the child he never had the chance to spend time with and hoped to see once more. His wife betrays him for what reason? He doesn’t know. He’s cast away, told to die or else he wouldn’t have his strength back, and sent OUT of the land of the Erdtree.

Take a moment in this horrible world, to think what your tarnished is doing, and ask, how much pain have they wrought? Should an uprising be against them?

No I’m not voting against you destroying the world, i’m asking you to look at it from a character’s perspective. Is your character doing it just for the sake? How terrifying is this tarnished? This immortal force, coming to kill you, and all you can do is hope and prey they give up attacking you or don’t absolutely need to kill you yo reach your goal. Because the Tarnished is an omen of destruction, they don’t give up no matter what you put them through.

The world of Elden Ring is so scary to look at it from within. To know the doubt, to know the eternal pain, the everlasting stalemates, and this force of reckoning that runs across the land causing mass destruction…. Yet this force is called your savior. Wouldn’t you try to destroy us too?

He felt Mohg relax, so he cuddled close. It felt nice. It was quite chilly, and they could keep each other warm.

They have come a long way from their rough start. They have been through a lot of danger together, and Radahn would not have hesitated to call Mohg his friend. Perhaps even more than friend.

He drew a breath. As strong hands took hold of the curling horns upon his head, and not with an ungentle grip, ever carefully dipping his head down.

He blinked with a certain sense of bewilderment as he felt Radahn’s lips pressing down upon the flat of his head... He was almost certain there was going to be a kiss-shaped crater left on his noggin once the red-maned general pulled away.
