Miquella’s story could’ve been so good if they didn’t add Radahn

ever since i was a little girl i always dreamed of becoming a provincial warlord

"Yes, he's by the Kingsrealm Ruins, but Caria Manor is just a stone's throw away. That's where I grew up."

He lands gently, to make sure she doesn't get too disoriented.

"I have no idea on what you mean by the manor. When I last met him. He was by some ruins with his blacksmith materials"

Easy to forget on where Iji is. She heavily relied on that one site of grace near him. Maybe using the site of grace was a good idea.

"I just realized how bad flying messes with my sense of direction. I can easy map out an area from my home to across the lands between"

"Near the manor, right? That's his usual spot. And don't worry, I'll catch him if needed."

Still, it's probably better to land a small distance away and walk instead of dropping out of the sky.

"It's alright. Just got caught off a bit"

Gods how did miquella not fall from that speed?... She thinks. Sadly, Nouma can't see the lovely view Radahn gets to see everytime he does this.

"And this is faster then site of grace? Or the other way?"

"They don't jump that I know of, but they can shoot their attacks from a surprising distance away."

Even Radahn didn't like to bother with them. They didn't taste that good.

Soon, they crossed over the lake, and reached the western parts.

"We're close now. I hope Iji won't be too startled when we land..."

Radahn was glad to see Godwyn in a slightly better shape, and he greeted him with a smile.

"I am much better now" he said. "My wounds have almost completely healed. But how art thou doing? Thou seem'st to be in better colour than last time."

He could sense some tension on the way here, but he wrote it off as people being worried about Godwyn. Thankfully, he had no idea who else was living here.

He got a chair and sat next to Godwyn's bed. The incense was rather overpowering - he recognized the same was used in his own room.

"How long hath it been? I've lost the track of time..."

Radahn wasn't sure how much time has passed. He was drifting in and out of sleep, whatever the perfumers gave him for the pain must have been very strong.

But his dreams were far from peaceful. He remembered all now - and his memories tormented him. All the pain and loss of dignity, as the rot slowly drove him mad, until there was nothing left but a feral beast that attacked anything that came near.

And those dreams were the better ones.

The true dread came whenever he dreamt of Miquella. Trapped in a body that wasn't his, helpless under his god-husband's charm. He was a weapon, a trophy, a prized possession. Miquella, after abandoning his love and much of himself, was cold, serene, unfeeling. Not the kind-hearted little brother Radahn once cherished. He spoke of compassion and love, and his words rang empty. How could a god like him create a better world?

But Radahn couldn't even voice his doubts, couldn't reason with him. He could only obey, and fight whoever dared challenge Miquella.

Deep down, he knew this wasn't real. What he saw were glimpses of a future that never came to be.

None could stand before their combined might. They would be slain, or they would be charmed to forever adore their new god.

When he finally awoke from his nightmares, his wounds were almost completely healed, but he was exhausted, as if he fought endless battles.

He vowed not to sleep again. He refused the perfumers' draughts, claiming he was feeling much better.

Yet, he could feel the presence from his dreams, still lingering. Whispering to him. Lord Brother... I will always be with you.

Was he losing his mind again?

No, no... he just needed someone to talk to. That would bring him back to reality and silence Miquella's voice.

He asked the knights if Godwyn was doing better, and if he could go visit him.

Radahn sped up a bit.

"Maybe ten or so minutes. We're high enough not to be bothered by the lobsters and other nuisances."

"It's alright. Just got caught off a bit"

"I think the grace travel is faster, but we'll be there soon. We're already above Stormveil."

He knows well how much of a slog it woudl be to walk or ride through Liurnia.

Solis began to argue with Radahn on eating deathroot. A majority of her argument was baby babble. But, Solis knows how to argue.

Radahn can see Nouma appeared panic before hearing them approach. Then, her letting out a sigh of relief once she can hear Solis still arguing with him.

"Next time you decide to ran off with them. Please let me know. Solis and Luna has a bad habit of running off"

She explains to Radahn. Nouma took the twins from him. Dropping them off to Godwyn is a swift task. Thankfully, the site of grace travel is still accessible to Nouma.

"Where are you off to this time? The Academy or Iji?'

Nouma asks when she returns

Radahn might look intimidating, but he really is quite affectionate. He'll gladly accept the pets.
