Cavetown- This is Home

I read dark rise on the beach while listening to mumford and sons and cavetown on repeat and this is the end result. I was in a frenzy to get all of this out as soon as possible and now it‘s finally done. Dark rise is definitely one of the best books I have read this year if not ever and I can‘t stop thinking about it and its characters, especially james.

His body may have perished, but his conscience lives on in the vessel of his direwolf, headed to the Wall to enact his last will as King in the North. Unfortunately, his new form makes it quite difficult to convince Jon to take the throne - or, really, to communicate with him at all. But Robb tries. Oh, how he tries.

W. I. P Introduction : Coffee with a side of murder

Word Goal: 1,444/100,000

Chapter Goal: 1/35

Plot: Clementine Colby, a.k.a "Cee-Cee", is a high school student working part time at Petit Paris, a coffee shop of questionable reputation. After a prank leaves her mopping floors on Halloween, she decides to take the matters into her own hands... and accidentally commits murder. While she struggles to prove her fake innocence, she has to investigate who is truly running the town, but as secrets are brought to light, not all is what or who they seem.

Main Character: Clementine Colby, 16F, sophomore, part-time barista, self appointed head writer of the school’s newspaper (which only has two people in it). May or may not have killed the victim via anaphylactic shock, but in her defense, it was just a prank.

Victim: Ambrose Reese, 18M, senior, cliché bully football star, dead af, may or may not have dealt drugs (tEcHnIcAlLy he wasn’t paid for it), he prob should’ve made better choices, like not cheating with his bff’s girlfriend.

Killer: That’s only for me to know so far ;)

The call bell rang impatiently, snapping her out of her stupor. Graham waved wildly at her, pointing silently at the espresso machine as if he didn’t have the hands to use it. “Can you please wait a minute? I need to talk to my coworker.”

Introduction

Hiiiiii, my pen name is Red Ink and this is my new writing blog. I’ve gotten my inspiration back recently after being busy with uni (got my bachelors in 2022) and work (still ongoing), so back to plotting I go.

I write mostly paranormal and murder mysteries. My wattpad acc is https://www.wattpad.com/user/redinkhearts, one story draft already fully published :)

Current W.I.P is “Coffee with a side of murder”, a murder mystery about a teenage barista and her coworker investigating the suspicious death of the school bully... that they may have killed accidentally on purpose.

My finished work is “The Ice Cream Truck” which started on r/nosleep reddit and is currently on wattpad (https://www.wattpad.com/story/319923285-the-ice-cream-truck). It’s about a preteen struggling with her father, binge eating and the monster driving an ice cream truck in the middle of the night.

I’m looking to become online friends with other writers while I work on the first draft of ☕🔪. I’m willing to join discords and beta other works, but my uploads might be sporadic because of time zones and my work schedule being wonky.
