God’s faithfulness

I am currently looking for an internship for this term and I am just so encouraged with how God has been blessing me with so many things-- even those I don’t truly deserve (although there is nothing I deserve naman talaga). 

Thinking of how undisciplined, sinful, impure, prideful and unfaithful I am yet He’s been blessing me with these things. I cannot help but to really go back to Him and give my gratitude. Kasi ang kapal na talaga ng mukha ko if I will continue this way. Aaaahh sobrang grateful ko lang talaga. 

I still have a long way to go before ko mas magrasp yung pagiging in awe kay God, yung kahit struggling, in awe pa rin ako, ganon. I don’t know if I am still making sense here but I am seeing how God is so faithful to me, despite of my unfaithfulness. Kaiyak. I still have to pray more about the things that He has given me and be really humble before Him,.

God is Good! God’s Promises are never wavering. No matter how bad it looks, or impossible or unlikely it seems to come. It will. God is way too powerful to just back out on His Promises. Stop giving into fear of failure. Start leaning on God’s Strength and not your own. It is by God’s Grace and Strength you are saved and helped, not yours. Fear God, Love God more, put everything inside and outside in His Hands and invite Him into your everyday life.

Don’t tell me about how amazing I am, how unique I am, how I can conquer my fears and the world with the gifts God has blessed me with. Flattery won’t lead anyone to repentance or mortification of sin.

Tell me about God. Tell me about how amazing He is, how holy, how good. I want my pride and ego to be crushed under the weight of His glory.

Don’t flatter me. Don’t tell me I am great. 

Tell me I am–daily–in need of His grace, that apart from His mercy, nothing awaits for me except death. The only reason I am a living, breathing human being who can look forward to heaven is because the Father set me apart before the foundations of the world to be redeemed in Christ–for no other reason than it pleased Him to do so.

Get rid of shallow flattery in the church. Christ didn’t die to give us a happy life with a thriving job and a healthy self-esteem (not to say God doesn’t bless us financially or materially). If we remove our focus on ourselves, then we will find joy. If we place our eyes on Christ and behold His majesty, then our pride will be crushed, and we will finally see His glory.

Pray for people when they need it, even when you’re in the midst of tears. God will heal your heart while He heals them.
