The second he heard her voice, Shintaro was on his feet with his phone back on his pocket. He threw open the door and quickly glanced at Ayano before darting his eyes in a different direction.

"Hey Ayano.." He smiled awkwardly at her before stepping outside of his apartment and closing the door. "Well let's get going!" he said before he slowly started to walk towards the elevator so that she could quickly catch up. The two of them going alone to get lunch, this wasn't... a date, was it?

She slipped on a comfortable tee, pulling up a knee-length skirt afterwards. The dummy was probably going to be expecting a text response, but it was annoying to press those tiny keys to write to him. So she just stood up and walked out the door. 

She smiled softly before knocking on her neighbor’s door.

"I’m ready~!! Come out Shintaro-" She was really happy that she was getting to spend time with him. It was.. It was because he was one of her best friends! That was the only reason, right?

He got up and picked his chair up, grabbing his jacket off the floor and slipping it on before pulling the sleeves up to his elbows.

Just tell me when you're ready to leave and we'll head out.

He sat back down in his chair and made sure to save the song he was editing before closing the program. He slouched in his chair and began playing a game as he waited for her to text back.

She held her phone but stood up, moving to quietly start changing out of her pajamas. If she was going out, she needed to have  clothes that preferably weren’t pjs on.

He sat up and rubbed his head and side before taking his phone once again

He scratched his cheek and smiled awkwardly at the second message "i dunno..." he thought to himself as he looked at Ayano's contact name

We can go to Ero's pub, the food's not bad there

  She winced as she heard a crash. That had been him, hadn’t it? That boy could be clumsier than her sometimes..

She stared at her phone before giggling.

Shintaro heard his phone vibrate from across the room, he pressed his feet to the wall and pushed in an attempt to roll over to his phone but  forgot he was still wearing his headphones and ended up tipping his chair over and falling halfway "O-Ow..." he mumbled as he dragged himself over to his phone and texted back.

oh sorry...

im getting kinda hungry do you want to *shiver* go get lunch...

  Ayano is bored, sitting at her desk. She kicked her feet quietly, wondering if there was anything she could do. She was so bored.. And she was tired of studying too!!

She let out a startled gasp at the pounding from the other side of the wall, catching her breathe when she realized it was just Shintaro. She would feel bad yelling since it might disturb the neighbors, so she’s just going to text him.

      "Ugh... I'm so bored..." Shintaro thought to himself as he spun around in his desk chair, he grabbed his bottle of coke and took a large sip. He glanced at the time on his clock, only 3:30p.m. , people are still awake at this time. "That's it!" he mumbled before pouding on the wall in front of him "Hey! Ayano, do you wanna hang out?" he shouted so that she'd hear him through the walls.
