The trailer and teasers have a scene where they end up back at the beginning of the witches road… honestly I see this being accurate. They can’t continue unless Agatha fully comes to terms and completes her trial and the road brings them back to the beginning as a sign of that.

now a fic idea got stuck in my head, it's a what if they leave Agatha behind in the cabin and get stuck in basically a time loop until they realize the point of the trial was to not leave Agatha? The point of each trial is to make the witch face a fear and get some healing, Agatha only gets more hurt so they're failing miserably at completing the task. They can't finish the Road if one of them is stuck in the way they were before everything.
