I actually think Miquella-Radahn marriage is not retcon and fits into base game story nicely. It’s not a theory with real arguments, it’s “I feel like it” type of thing, but I want to bring up some stuff nevertheless

(Relevant: I headcanon here that Miquella was kinda greenlighted by Marika as a new god at least before night of black knifes)

For me it looks like marriage of Miquella and Radahn was something plotted and acknowledged at least by Marika / House of Erdtree. Golden pals tried to bond with/ get to their nail Liurnia multiple times, by wars, by marriage, and by adoption Rennala’s children as demigods, yet it looks like getting Carians didn’t give the Erdtree full control of the land and people’s hearts as we know from shattering wars. Maybe this instability was in the air long before game plot started, so another marriage between houses was in favour

Radahn is well-known Godfrey simp and I won’t dive into Godfrey-Marika Radahn-Miquella parallels, but I think it’s kinda sus that he uses Erdtree-lion imagery so hard (lion maybe not that sus because it’s golden lineage/godfrey specifically, but erdtree?)

Coats of arms are a big deal, and (probably) he has right to use it since he was adopted as a demigod under Marika, so it may be just a personal preference, but this also fits well thematically in some kind of pre-planned marriage, where Radahn is not yet husband of Miquella, but he will be if Miquella to take the throne, so he is closer to Erdtree house than his liurnian siblings

Loretta is In Haligtree because of albinaurics, but her presence here fits story even more if marriage between Miquella and Radahn was planned thing + Miquella’s knight sword was made in carian fashion

This whole gold/silver, sun/moon theme (lmao is the eclipse- no I shan’t joke like that)

Radahn is big even by his family standards and in the cut content (release ver of the game) there was a line about big height tied to grace (I’m too lazy to find exact words for this shitpost, sorry If I’m bullshitting here), so maybe he is so big because he spent so much time in the capital/ was blessed by marika or smth like that

I still wonder what exactly twins promised him and why did he participate in the Shattering in this way instead of keeping the promise. Is the Morgott vs Radahn beef from the opening cutscene canon?? I’m not satisfied by both honourable death and mind control theories, I need something more interesting (not necessary closer to canon) for myself

you know. radahn probably helped ranni out with her plot, knowing or unknowing. the altus plateau has the mirage rise. which, one could argue that sellia could've used as a spy post or something. but it has unseen form and unseen blade.

i don't think radahn was completely ignorant of ranni's plot, and might've offered her those spells to help her sneak out the fragment of death she stole.
