I really like the word “smitten”. because at first glance you just think of sappy lovey-dovey stuff but also you have to remember this is a word that’s born of the word “smite.” a devastating word. a word that, summarized, means stricken. smitten means stricken as well — struck with devastating affection.

So.. Here’s another fun little DA tinfoil hat theory that you might have already heard about, but I don’t think I’ve seen it discussed on here before? It also probably sounds super unhinged, but at this point, can we even get any more unhinged in terms of theories? lol So, we might as well just embrace it. It’s just one of those theories that simply won’t leave my mind (especially when trying to sleep at 3am lol), so writing it down will hopefully put it to rest. 😁

This is probably the nerdiest possible thing, but I’m rewatching Good Omens right now and I noticed Aziraphale is wearing gloves while reading The Nice and Accurate Prophesies of Agnes Nutter, Witch. I also just so happen to know that more damage has been done to old and rare books with gloves than without, due to the gloves making it more difficult to keep hold of things and harming your dexterity. Has Aziraphale ever damaged a book in this way? Moreover, do Angels even have oils on their skin that could damage the paper in the first place?

HarperCollins Strike Update

It’s been over FIFTY days. The strike is still ongoing. Harper has yet to even speak to the union.

Union members are still scraping on their second and third hustles (which most entry-level publishing people have) and donations to the strike fund. The union has set up a hardship fund (here’s the post about it on their official Instagram, for verification) so no more fiddling with checks or Venmo.
