How I Started Journaling π
My first thought about journaling was that it seemed too demanding. I didn't want to feel stressed thinking, "I have to write in my journal today," or feel pressured to do it every single day. I worried that if I skipped a day, I would end up skipping more and more, so I felt like I had to do it every day without exception. These thoughts made me hesitate to start journaling.
But one day, I wanted to track my habits to stick to the good ones. So, I began writing in my notebook as a habit tracker. I also started jotting down some of my thoughts or brainstorming ideas, and it gradually became my journaling notebook. It happened very naturally. It wasn't just about writing in a journal; it was about investigating my routine, finding the best time to study, eat, or read.
The difference was in the purpose of writing. Now, I write to track my habits and build good ones. I no longer struggle with the idea of writing every day; instead, I do it easily, every day.

Reviewing the First Half of 2024 π₯³
Things I've been doing this year:
Intaking Less Caffeine Just one shot of espresso a day. Drinking a lot of water instead!
Reading Books I'm reading "Atomic Habits" and "Hidden Potential" these days :)
Studying English I try to do it every day, especially speaking!
Running Twice a Week Initially, I tried to run every other day, at least 3 times a week. But it was hard to enjoy running T^T. So I reduced the frequency.
Waking Up at 5 A.M. It was really hard to stay consistent, but after setting a goal that perfectly fits me and filling my mornings with things I like to do, it became much easier.
Organizing my schedules I made a to-do list for my work schedule(using notion). I can see my tasks at a glance. It also makes me easier to create my yearly or monthly plans.
Things I'm still trying hard on:
Focusing on Relaxing I want to fully control my schedule and plan my days or weekends instead of just letting time pass by. I'm trying to find activities that truly relax and relieve my stress, like reading book, watching YouTube channels I like(Rotten Mango, Mel Robbins, etc..), exercising(running/stretching), and playing games (just a few hours). I don't want to waste time without realizing it, like watching TV shows all day without knowing what I watched.
Calling My Family or Meeting Friends More Often
Lastly, things I need to try more:
Eating More Slowly (chewing more often) I still eat too fast...
Communicating More with My Colleagues
I don't really care about my career this year. Of course, I have to do my job responsibly, but improving my work skills is not my highest priority this year. (Actually I'm working hard on the VisionOS project and studying for it.)
