My school is frozen shut for the next couple days so I suddenly have SO MUCH time to work on my fic wips

I like to sit an imagine Dwayne having a crush on Michael the same way teenage girls did in high school (or at least I did) where he constantly watches Michael out of the corner of his eye, always somehow manages to force his way next to Michael whenever the group is out riding together but pretends like it just happened that way, has a running list in his head (or written down) of all of the things Michael does and doesn't like but he ABSOULUTELY WILL NOT SPEAK TO MICHAEL. Like will only grunt out a few words if Michael directly asks him a question but will avoid speaking to Michael at all costs

Having some Steter thoughts...

Here's a drabble that may or may not turn into a whole fic:

“Why are you here, Stiles?”

“Oh, uh. You know what, nevermind.”

“You let yourself into my loft—”

“It’s Derek’s loft.”

“—clearly agitated, nervous, sweaty—”

“I am not sweaty.”

Peter puts his book down and gives Stiles a good once over. “What are you here for, Stiles? If you need something, you’ll get it faster by simply asking.”

“Dude, it’s nothing. I was just—”

“Looking for Derek. You said ‘it’s Derek’s loft,’ which means you were looking for Derek.”

“That’s a bit of a stretch. Who’s to say I don’t let myself into Derek’s loft all the time, regardless of whether or not I think he’s on the premises?”

Peter stands up from the sofa, wanders closer to Stiles, still studying him. Stiles tries not to fidget under his scrutiny.

Peter stops when he’s just pushing the boundary of Stiles’ personal space. He looks Stiles in the eyes, expression squinting ever so slightly. Then, “Don’t do that, Stiles.”

“Do what? I’m not doing anything.”

“Don’t do what you came here to do.”

Stiles’ mouth pops open in surprise. For some reason, he believes that Peter knows why he’s here. But how does he know? How does Peter just know things? Stiles recovers enough to close his mouth. “And why not?” he asks, crossing his arms over his chest. “We’re both adults, with, I suspect, a mutual attraction, and what I assume to be an equally mutual need to get off.”

Peter looks considering for a moment before he speaks. “Because he can’t do casual. And he knows that about himself. So either he’ll turn you down, or he’ll want more from you. And you’ll be dissatisfied, whichever way it goes.”

Stiles tries not to pout. And yeah, it’s partially because he’s disappointed at the lack of fruits for this particular labor, but it’s also because he’s annoyed that Peter was able to call him out so easily.

“Stiles.” Peter calls his attention back.

“Right. Well. Then I’m going. And don’t worry, I won’t, you know, try it with him.” Stiles turns back toward the door.

“I can do casual.”

Stiles stops.

“It’s been suggested to me that casual is all I can do, in fact. I believe the term ‘emotionally unavailable’ was used. On several occasions.”

Stiles turns around.

Peter steps closer. “Thoughts?”

Stiles’ heart rate picks up and he knows that Peter can hear it. Hell, if he were any closer, he could feel it.

“Is that because you’re nervous or excited?” Peter asks, glancing down at Stiles’ chest.

“Both.”

“Good.” Peter’s grin is sharp. He steps impossibly closer to Stiles, somehow still not touching him. Maybe he’s not going to. Maybe Peter’s just fucking with him. Seems like something he would do.

But then there’s a hand on his hip. Thumb slipped under the hem of his shirt. Fingers squeezing. Stiles sucks in a breath.

When Peter kisses him, it’s not the bruising kiss Stiles is expecting. There’s a hand on the side of his face, and a firm but controlled press of lips.

Stiles lets his eyes fall shut, breathes through his nose as they get into it, get used to each other. It’s nice. Nicer than Stiles thought it would be. Not that he’s spent a lot of time thinking about what kissing Peter would be like. It’s crossed his mind, sure, but not in any kind of serious way.

This, though… this’ll be on his mind plenty. Especially if whatever happens next is as good as what’s happening now, because right now, Peter’s tongue is in his mouth and he’s got Stiles pulled in tight against him, and it’s all warm and good and Stiles feels a moan creep up his throat.

Peter pulls back, humming against Stiles’ lips. “Let’s go upstairs,” he murmurs.

Stiles nods and lets himself get pulled along up the spiraling staircase.

i need benson calling randy baby in moments of pure panic, like his head shuts off and all the endearment he works so hard to push down rushes out without his conscious control. bonus points if the first time he says it is before he’s ever made his feelings explicitly known and it comes out without him even registering it - except that randy is suddenly wide eyed and frozen and staring at him, and oh fuck.

Midweek Fic Rec

Welcome back everybody. This week I want to recommend to everyone my favorite Steter fic that I read in 2024 - bending back by frankie_31. I'm actually so obsessed with this fic that I have been sending it to my irl friends who have never watched teen wolf and making them read it. I've even spent the last couple of weeks making a teen wolf explained powerpoint to show my irl friends so that they can reread this fic with a better understanding of some of the references. This is a time travel fic where Stiles travels back in time and saves Laura from Peter and is sort of adopted into the Hale pack. Meanwhile Stiles is very traumatized and morally grey from his original timeline and Peter is still insane since he never died and "reset". I honestly cannot express enough how often I think about this fic in my day to day, watching these two super messed up ppl fall in love but their love is aggressive and violent because that's the only way they can express love. There is some unsafe BDSM in this fic, so heads up, but it ties into the whole "aggressive and violent love" thing.

I posted a steter oneshot thinking no one would read it and then got more comments within like 2 days on it than anything I posted in 2024 and am now writing a second chapter. Thats crazy, life is so crazy

Writing fanfic while being an avid fanfic reader makes me way too harsh on myself while writing and its always so nice when I get nice comments that force me out of that headspace

It the charismatic slimy-ness imo. I feel like there should be a chart out there where one axis is charisma and the other is slimy-ness. Used car salesman is at the bottom and lawyer is at the top

Then you add in his research abilities and cockiness and it just makes perfect sense

Idk WHERE the idea came from that Peter Hale was a lawyer before the fire but whoever you are…..thank you……….I love that thought SO MUCH
