It starts with a stupid bet.

"You wouldn't dare," Sirius says, arms crossed as he leans against the common room couch, smirking.

James raises a brow. "Wouldn't I?"

"Absolutely not," Sirius replies. "You're all talk, Potter. No action."

James scoffs. "That is slander, Black."

"Prove it, then."

And that’s how James Potter, Gryffindor’s self-proclaimed most daring student, finds himself cornered into kissing his best friend. The problem is, Sirius is also Sirius, which means he’s fully committed to making this as ridiculous as possible.

He puckers his lips in the most exaggerated way imaginable, eyes fluttering dramatically. "Oh, Jamie," he coos. "Kiss me like one of your French girls."

James groans. "You’re the worst."

But he’s got a point to prove, and James Potter never backs down from a challenge. So, with all the enthusiasm of someone about to do something really stupid, he grabs Sirius’s face and dramatically plants a kiss right on his lips—

And that’s when Remus walks in.

There’s a moment of silence. A long, agonizing pause.

Then Remus sighs. "Why am I not surprised?"

Sirius, still holding onto James’s sleeve, grins. "Jealous, Moony?"

James, who is only now realizing that Sirius’s lips were actually kind of soft and that he maybe, possibly, absolutely enjoyed that more than he should have, just mutters, "Oh, bollocks."

sirius gets mad at everyone 24/7 because people are stupid and inefficient but he never gets mad at james. james could lay in bed all day & sirius will quicker get mad at peter for taking a nap after he stayed up to study. naturally, james' ego increases tenfold every time this happens.

james loves dancing and sirius hates dancing but once theyre drunk it's the opposite. tipsy james is fun but once he's drunk he's insufferable and wants to go home and will ruin your night by pointing out your worst insecurities, but sirius does all that sober so once he's drunk he's not leaving the dance floor till people are begging him to take his boyfriend home
