I’ve seen him used a lot as a replacement faceclaim for the Hudson family, and that would be my main suggestion. However, you could also place him in the Weston, McCarthy, Rose and McIntosh families.

BACKSTORY & MORE.

Astrid Bain’s father Clark didn’t always know who he was as a person. He was the owner of a successful car service franchise, and had been since it was handed down to him at the age of 21. With that came the trophy wife, and 2 perfect children who all, on paper had a lovely life. Though despite all he had he wasn’t happy. When he met Monroe, he wasn’t sure what he was expecting or what he wanted he just knew for the first time since he was 16 he felt happy and that wasn’t something he could just ignore. That’s how he decided and a year later when he decided he had to turn that perfect little family home upside down. Astrid was five when her parents got separated. Her mother devastated, and devastatingly drunk all the time barely registered that her kids existed after Clark left her, and Astrid did the same with her. She and her sibling moved in with her father and his boyfriend and they became a pretty nice and after adopting a couple dogs, and a cat happy family.

At the age of 6 Astrid found gymnastics and fell in love. Of course her fathers were more than supportive always coming matches, cheering her on the loudest and the proudest. Things were fine at her gym, that is until the kids started to tease Astrid for nothing more than who her fathers were, and the fact they were fathers instead of the dumb parents  other kids had. She held her head up high and kept her temper down like a good southern belle, but it didn’t take long for it to get the best of her. After 6 months of relentless teasing Astrid lost it, she shouldn’t have obviously, but of course it’s not something she could help. She ended up getting suspended from classes for two weeks and thankfully they were made to apologize just as she was. It was that moment she realized things wouldn’t get better not with this, so she learned to do her best to be better.

When Astrid was 14 she found her way into her aunt’s make up bag and she never found her way out. With her aunts help she learned the basics, and played around from there. She loved it almost as she loved gymnastics but of course it didn’t take more than a few years for something else to take it’s place. Sex was something easy, fun, made her feel good, and after the first few times Astrid was pretty damn good at it too. It gave her a reputation, but Astrid really didn’t give a shit. As one of her role models and favorite movie characters said, I wanna get my kicks while I’m still young enough to get'em.

She followed that saying all the way into college and out of college and into her real life. She started interning at Scarlet Magazine when she was 20 years old, unpaid of course but it was the absolute best time of her life. She always wondered after college where she’d end up, when she first got the job at Scarlet she was lost, she knew who she was but not what she wanted out of her life... Though after a year at Scarlet she knew exactly what she wanted to do at 24 she was on the road. She at this moment, is a sex and wellness writer for Scarlet’s digital publication, but she knew that one day she wanted to be where Jacqueline's sitting and she strives everyday to prove herself to the other woman.

BACKSTORY & MORE.

The Smythe family dynamic was never perfect or anything. In truth, Robert and Emilia were rarely together. She was always back and forth between America and France. She had things to do and places to be, so Robert was normally the parent the Smythe siblings saw most. That doesn’t mean that Emilia wasn’t around because she was, but the interaction they had with her was normally over the phone or through a computer screen. This led their children to be tossed around from nanny or nanny. It was always a different face each month--the person never wanting to stay for long. The longest one had been a year and that was because it was Emilia’s niece that needed a job while she was in college, and she was more like a babysitter than a nanny.

Robert Smythe served as the State Attorney for Massachusetts for eight years. He then later ended up teaching courses at Harvard Law, which is his alma mater. Coming from old money and having the salary he did made it so the Smythe family had a pretty big cushion when it came to finances. Because of this, Julian didn’t have to worry about much of anything growing up. He got what he wanted and didn’t think of the price tag on most things. This became a problem later on when he tried to make a name for himself without the help of his parent’s money. Julian ended up realizing that money didn’t exactly come easy if you weren’t from money, or if you didn’t have a decent enough job to earn the money.  The pretty hefty trust in his name, however, ended up helping more than Julian would ever admit. He ended up making a pretty big dent in it over the past few years, but at least he has an apartment, car and a pretty decent job and education.

Julian was pretty into partying during his late teen years and early twenties. One of the other guys on the soccer team at school brought him to his first party, and it sort of went on from there. The expectations he went in with were pretty low. He thought it’d be pretty cliche, but what he found was shitty alcohol, indie music and a bunch of teenagers basically having sex in the same room. It was there that he met Orion, and he was instantly attracted to him and Orion to him. They traded numbers and agreed to a no-strings hookup whenever and wherever. But after a year, they were sleeping with one another exclusively. It was then that they agreed to see if there was chemistry outside of the sex.

[ TW: TOXIC RELATIONSHIP ] Things were fine at first, but then there were small disagreements, and those small things led to fights, which led to break-ups and Julian sleeping in his car in order to avoid their apartment. It wasn’t until months of the recurring behavior that Julian was going to leave Orion. He didn’t want the fighting or for them to eventually hate one another, and he didn’t want it to end the way that everyone had told him it would when they first got together. But then after a particularly bad fight, Orion admitted to have been seeing another guy he met at a bar a few weeks ago, and that it was looking pretty serious despite not knowing him that long. That broke Julian’s heart. They eventually got back together after Julian begged Orion to choose him and stay. But then they’d break up again because their somewhat dysfunctional relationship turned toxic. The love Julian once felt had changed into something more sad and desperate. After another year of it, Julian came home to all of Orion’s stuff gone and a note that simple read “we aren’t good together”. The partying got worse after that and before Julian realized it, he was asking his father to help him find a good therapist.

Julian worked as an unpaid intern at Pinstripe for a semester, and then landed a position as a paid intern before moving up the line. He is now the manager for the entire Social Media department at Pinstripe. And well, while Robert wasn’t exactly happy with Julian working at Pinstripe at first, he has learned to deal with it over the years. If you asked, he’d probably say it was because he wanted Julian to follow in his footsteps. But in all honesty, Robert’s pretty much just happy that Julian is at least doing something with his life, and that his party days are finally behind him. Those are days that neither Julian or Robert like to speak of, especially since Robert had to pick his son up from the police station a few too many times.
