Moderator Applications Now Open!

The Metazine is looking for moderators! We're very excited to announce that we're opening positions for a variety of roles - if you'd like to get involved in the production of this zine, applications are open from now until the 15th of February at 11:59pm UTC.

Would you like to help with creating a zine that focuses on fandom meta in MCYTblr? Do you have an interest in analysis in this sphere? Are you simply enriched by organising long-term fandom projects, schedules and spreadsheets and all?

The moderators we're looking for at the moment include:

Discord - Lead moderation of the Discord server.

Socials - Manage blog posts and activity.

Analysis - Oversee analysis contributions and help with the overall flow of zine.

Art - Oversee artist contributions and help with integration of art with analysis pieces.

Formatting - Manage the layout and formatting of zine and graphics.

Audio Production - Manage voice actors, editors, and direction for the audio component of the zine.

Video Production - Oversee editing of the video component of the zine.

More details on these tasks are provided within the form itself, including specific responsibilities - we encourage applying even if you don't have specific moderation experience, as there's a range of roles on offer!

Introducing the Hermit-a-Day Streamathon!

Good morning everyone! It is with no small amount of excitement that I bring you today's announcement!

On January 26th, Team HADM will be hosting a streamathon featuring some of our favorite artists and friends of the blog! We've got ten hours of programming lined up for you, including games, live art, and two amazing panels featuring incredible guests like a10 (Hermitzine, Morning Star Zine), Sixteenthdays (The Hermit Archives), MawoftheMagnetar (Eldritch Horror Keralis), and more!

During the streamathon, we will be taking tips to help cover expenses for Hermit-a-Day May. Your financial support would be appreciated, but of course will not be required - you're more than welcome to just sit back and enjoy the show!

I'm really thrilled to be able to bring this show to life, and I'm looking forward to seeing all of you in the chat on January 26th!

Celestial Winners Enamel Pin Kickstarter

Hi all!

I’ve been working on these enamel pin designs for nearly two months now and I’m finally ready to launch my Kickstarter!

Offical Launch is at 4pm MST on Jan 20th 2025 Early bird discounts are available for early pledges in limited quantities

Each design is unlocked by stretch goals so we need to reach certain funding goals before the next design is unlocked. If we get far beyond the finial stretch goal, there will be extra goodies too.

Now that info is out of the way, onto the designs!

I wanted to create a portrait of each of the winners of the life series with their fandom assigned celestial symbol. Grian the Sun, Scott the Stars, Pearl the Moon, etc.

I also wanted to create a set of mini filler pins to fill the gaps in your pin collections (or even to be used on cosplays if you so please)

The character pins will be 2.5-3” tall (based on silhouette) while the mini pins will be .75” tall. All with gold plating.

I hope you all enjoy these pin designs and will hype up your friends about them too!

Hi, Hello, my name is Arcade! I use He/they Pronouns, and I'm a cosplayer (among other things)!

Basically, TikTok is likely going to be banned over here in the US, so I decided to make a tumblr for my cosplay since I already post on here a ton!

I primarily cosplay MCYT, but I also have cosplays from plenty of other fandoms, with plans for much much more!!

MCYT SKETCH REQUESTS (with a twist ;)

OKAY OKAY OKAY SO- I am going through some rough art block right now, and I need some simple things to help me warm back up since I have zine work that needs to get done! Because of this, I came up with what I think will be a fun idea, which I'm calling MCYT Sketch Shuffle!

Here's how this goes: You can send me an ask or a DM with any MCYT character (or multiple MCYT characters) from Life Series, ESMP, DSMP, or HC, along with a number from 1 to 883! I will then find the song that corresponds to that number on my liked songs on spotify! (since spotify numbers your playlists, and I have 883 liked songs!) From there, I'll do a sketch/doodle based on the song and character and post it on here!

Feel free to send some asks my way and get some doodles of your fav MCYT blorbos!
