“We see faces, we don’t see hearts” has always been one of my favourite quotes because it truly encapsulates the dichotomy of people, and how much we shouldn’t take others as face value when we don’t know what their true motives may be behind an unknown façade.
With that being said, discernment is the tool that God has given us to see beyond faces and into hearts. Some may call it intuition or premonition, but it’s all the same. When you are spiritually advanced enough, you will be able to tell people’s intentions and thoughts from a distance. Your spirit will let you know when something or someone feels off. It is therefore your duty to listen to that feeling, because it’s there for a reason. I know for myself, each time I’ve ignored my discernment I’ve ended up paying the price later on.
