Sundew clothing, based off Ashigaru, Japanese light infantry! The helmet is called a jingasa, and the straw raincoat a mino. I headcanon that the poisonwings lop off their horns when drafted into the military, to make it easier to fit helmets onto their heads, to use the horns for composite bows, and for a symbolic reason as well. I also like the idea of Pantalan dragons using primitive fire arms, though not quite effective enough to completely phase out melee weapons and bows.

The tragedy of my life is that I keep acquiring and displaying fetish art and having to be corrected by my friends.
Most recently, a friend came over my house and saw my computer background and went, "Wow, um, I didn't know you were into that." To which I look at the picture of the well drawn muscular female minotaur in historically accurate Greek clothing and I start geeking out about how I love the detail the artist did with the clothing and I point out the period appropriate folds and pins, how the artist even inserted the native plant that was used to dye the clothing this particular shade in the background, and even how the belt has technology AND historically accurate weaving patterns on it.
Then I start explaining how I love the muscular choices of the minotaur, that I was so impressed with the artist's anatomically correct depiction of the muscles converging into the neck. That many people get an upright cow's neck wrong because cow's don't have collarbones, so it can be very difficult to merge the upper arms and a chest of a human with a cow's body. I draw her attention to the beautiful way they've merged the pectoralis major so smoothly while also staying true to how muscular they've depicted the rest of the body.
I finish up with my thoughts on the artist's bold choice to depict the minotaur as a female, and despite the underlying themes of a minotaur being violence, child murder, strength, and muscles. I segue into how unlike bulls, cow are perceived as mothers. That they are the major source of milk in human culture, and that idyllic depictions of them in a field usually depict calves frolicking nearby, yet the minotaur kills and eats children.
I finish and there is a long pause.
"Urban, this is fetish art." and she takes me to the artist's twitter and god dammit it's fetish art, not a bold statement on cultural perceptions of women and violence throughout history. I have been tricked again.

Tragic. Tumblr user made a good point but was unnecessarily condescending about it. Will not be reblogging

AND HERE IT IS! It was really hard to not tell everyone because I knew for more than 2 years now. Please welcome Tameryraptor, a new name for Stromers carcharodontosaurid. Based on Stromers descriptions, drawings and newly found photographs the authors conclude...
...That this animal was distinct from the better known Kem Kem material. I had hoped it to be out before the Bahariya stream but oh well, I did a small update afterwards ;)

If you're at work in a retail or hospitality environment and you see a sex worker with a client... no you didn't.
If your boss asks you if you think that person's a sex worker, you tell them you do not believe that. You don't report their presence to anyone. You don't joke about it with a coworker. You don't eavesdrop or bother them.
We're working the same as you are. Leave us alone!

I'm ace and SUPER ace at that, but I have legit reached the point where I get extremely irritated every single time I see a youtuber or streamer make a snide, "that's so gross" comment about furries or how certain characters get a lot of hentai. I'm just over it. It's become so clear as an adult that that's just baby's first "sexual art that I don't understand is a crime" and I'm so over it.
Oh? Ankha from Animal Crossing is "really popular haha yikes"? Cool. Good. I'm glad. I hope she gets 1000 more art of her feet by the end of the day.
The new Pokemon grass starter is obvious furry bait? Awesome. There's a lot of them that like Pokemon. I'm glad they're getting fed. I hope they enjoy their new cat.
"They made this character overly sexy. Haha I'm not a furry tho" Me either but honestly that's simply due to skill issue on my part. idk what your problem is tho.
It's so fucking annoying and once you start noticing it, it's insane how often people will do this in videos and streams. Often because they think this is just how you're supposed to think of furries and haven't stopped to think if they're ACTUALLY put off by furries or if they're just repeating what they think is the common belief everyone automatically agrees with.
#Commentary youtubers are so fucking annoying haha#One million billion posts on rule34 of every character ever
