“Well, I’m one for adventures, but I’m not feeling up to it today” Robert said with a small smirk and shrug of his shoulders, though his eyes fell down towards the sidewalk. Going to London was enough of an adventure for the older male for a while now. When she said she didn’t really know where they were either, it made him feel slightly better. At least he wasn’t the only one who was completely lost in London. He didn’t really know how long it was going to take him to fully understand it, but it really didn’t matter in the end. He wasn’t planning on living here, only taking a little bit of an extended vacation. “Oh you’re welcome. I’m not as much of an egomaniac as people play me out to be, including myself. I mostly do it for fun.” He said with a small laugh.
When they stop in front of the doorway, he glanced into the establishment before looking at Kylie with a nod of approval. “Looks nice to me” He said as he reached for the doorway and pulled the door open, holding it for Kylie before walking in behind her. It was warm and there didn’t seem like there was many people in there, which was nice, but he couldn’t help but wonder If most of the people were in the parade they just managed to weasel their way out of. Looking around for a seat, Robert decided the best place would be at the bar. Taking a seat, he tapped his fingers against its surface as he contemplated what he wanted before deciding on something simple. “Rum with whiskey please.” He said as he waved down the bartender.
Paraded; Kylie&RDJ
Kylie lowered her gaze to the ground with a shy smile before she could meet Robert’s eyes again. “Maybe?” There was some good and bad to his statement though. It was true, people weren’t paying too much attention. That would have made the embarrassment much easier to deal with and brush off. But because they weren’t paying attention, it most likely would have ended with her being trampled. “It’s okay. I think I like the way it turned out much better,” Kylie partially joked, waving her hand. She laughed at Robert’s confession of not being a good dancer. “What? I’m sure you can shake a tail feather.” Kylie slightly put her arms up and put on a dramatic dance, laughing all the while. “But no. Probably not something I want to be involved in either. Not without a warning, at least. I mean, wedding, flash mob, whatever—we would need to rehearse first.” She turned serious once the word ‘murderers’ slipped from the man’s mouth though, placing a hand over her chest. “I’m going to pretend like you didn’t just tell me there’s a possibility of a murderer among us.” Turning playful again, she pointed a finger at him. “You’re my first suspect though.”
Kylie gave him an odd look at his attempt of enthusiasm. “Right… Not one for adventures?” She started walking down the sidewalk, letting it sort of guide her to wherever, figuring they’d find a place eventually as they kept chatting. “I can’t say I’ve been around this part either. But there’s a lot of London that I haven’t seen.” She flashed a smile over at him with a nod. “I did. I did already know that. But thank you for the proper introduction.” She laughed, shaking his hand. As they rounded the corner and came upon a new street, for some reason or another, one of the buildings caught her eye. Kylie slowed down, walking over towards the windows to steal a quick peek before looking back to Robert. “I think this place could work.” It read Earl of Essex in gold above the doorway, and by what Kylie could tell, they weren’t crowded and she could see the wall of alcohol. “Let’s give it a shot, shall we?” The actress grabbed the door and offered Robert to go in before her. Surely they could get a drink and find a cozy spot to settle down.

“Oh, okay. I see how it is. Use me as a distraction.” Robert said with a smirk and slight role of his eyes. “Don’t worry though, I don’t think people are paying enough attention to anything going around them to realize that you had fallen.” Which was both a good and bad things considering the situation they were in. She could have gotten really hurt. Thankfully that wasn’t the case. “I know, I’m going to have to look this up later once we’re somewhere safe. I’ve never been in a flash mob, and I can pretty much confirm that I wouldn’t be good in one. Not the best dancer in the world, not by no means.” Just imagining how that would turn out with him in it, half of the mob would be on the floor due to him accidentally pushing them over or something. “Well, damn, if I had gotten an invitation, I would have considered coming instead of being drug in. Who knows who’s all in it. Can’t say there are not any murderers or something in here.” He said towards her with a smirk and a wiggle of his eyebrows. “Not that I’m implying I’m a murderer or anything, but you never know with people.” Well, that’s a pleasant way to start a conversation with someone, Robert, very good. Very smooth. Not.
“No , there is no thanks needed.” He said with a slight huff and wave of his hand, a little wore out by the whole scenario. “I’m sure it wouldn’t have ended as bad as we both imagine, but yeah.” He said letting off a slight breathless sigh before, standing up straighter since he had been in a slouching position. “Oh, I don’t mind scoping where we are. I didn’t really have anywhere in mind at all. To be honest, I don’t think I’ve been in this part of London before. Woo! Another adventure! Yay.” He said sarcastically, being a little less adventurous than usual. “Oh, I’m Robert, but I guess you knew that already. Whoops.” He said taking her hand gently and shaking it, “It’s a pleasure to meet you, Kylie, though I sort of wish it was under different circumstances.” He said with a laugh and shrug of his shoulders before spinning on his heel, “Now let’s find that place to get a drink, shall we? I’m getting more and more parched thinking about it.”

“I have to flatter you. It distracts from the fact that I almost face planted.” Kylie smiled, teasing. She was a big fan though so it truly didn’t take much. And she could probably keep the flattery rolling if she really wanted to. “Yeah, I just thought it looked interesting. And I have no clue what’s going on. But here we are, both dragged right into the middle of it. A flash mob would be amazing though.” She let out a small laugh. She had never witnessed one in person but they always looked fun in the movies; the choreographed dancing numbers, etc. “Maybe someone is getting married and they involved half of London. Who knows.” Kylie swayed to the right as she could see someone bee lining in her direction, avoiding them. While she might have been a fan of the man standing before her, she didn’t actually know much about him. But he did seem slightly bothered by all the commotion around them. Finding and offering a way out seemed like a good idea for the both of them.
Kylie gave a faint smirk as Robert commented about her escape route. She could only hope that it would work, hoping that they could regain the ability to breathe and move on their own freewill again. She felt him take a hold of her hand as he started to lead the way, zig-zagging through the crowds of people. It was a relief to see a stretch of open area, and even more so once they were actually standing in it. “It was. Thank you, again. I don’t even want to think of how that could have ended if you wouldn’t have been there.” Kylie laughed. Glancing back at the street, it was crazy to think they were even inside of that chaos. Lifting her hair up off the back of her neck, she slightly fanned herself for a moment before turning her attention back to Robert at the mentioning of a drink. “A drink sounds good. A toast to surviving the madness on the streets of London.” Releasing her hair, she smiled. “Maybe we should walk a street or two over though before we even start looking. Unless you had a place in mind. Because I have a feeling a lot of the bars in this vicinity will probably be packed.” Shaking her head, she suddenly realized she never properly introduced herself. “I’m sorry. I’m Kylie.” She extended her hand with another smile. “And it is truly a pleasure to meet you.”

It didn’t seem like it was getting much better, but Robert was doing his best to just pretty much ignore the whole situation he was in. It wasn’t like he could do much about it for the time being. It would hopefully be over quickly, and he could leave the whole thing behind him. Well, that was until the promotional shit he’d have to do later.
He let out a huge sigh of relief when the director cut and that it was lunch break, he quickly gathered his things before catching his name being called from a little afar. Looking up, he smiled widely seeing that it was Jude. A very pleasant surprise “Jude! Hey!” Robert said with a smile before walking towards him, arching a brow when he explained that he had actually made a lunch reservation for the two of them at an Italian restaurant. He loved Italian. Well, he loved anything that was pretty much food. “Oh, yeah definitely. Wow, man I owe you one.” Robert said with a small shake of his head. At his question he let off a small laugh as he began to lead Jude off the set, “I’m as hungry as a horse to be honest. I accidentally skipped breakfast this morning. I was running just a little bit late.” He said before whistling innocently before moving his eyes in a circular motion, only stopping when they were facing Jude, “How long have you been planning this, buddy?”
fellow feeling - Jude & Robert
Jude sighed, tapping his fingers on the now closed book that he had been reading over the week - a collection of plays, specially the tragedies, that Shakespear wrote - nothing related to his current work and to his future projects. As they say, everybody has a hobby - whether they realize it or not. In Jude’s case, it was pretty obvious as he was often found in a corner, quietly reading during the breaks.
But today was different. Today he wasn’t on his set and it wasn’t his break. The blue eyed man stood in a corner, just like a plant or a wallflower, not wanting to interrupt the scene that was being shoot in the current moment. Once he heard the director call cut and a break for lunch, Jude took a few steps foward and raised his hand slightly.
“Hey! Robert!” the blonde grinned at his friend in the other side of the room “I hope you don’t mind, but I took the liberty of reserving a table for us in that new Italian restaurant near here. ”. Truth had to be told, Jude had been slightly worried with his friend after their small chat in the other week. So,as any other friend with a fellow feeling, he decided to keep company to Robert, planning to pop in the set every once in a while. “ Are you hungry? “

“Well after Thanksgiving, Halloween, and Christmas. The whole fun out of winter goes away. I guess you could look forward to New Year’s Eve, but that wasn’t something you could really do in America, was it? And you couldn’t here now, because, well….same reason why you can’t have caffeine.” Robert said with a frown and a small shrug of his shoulders. “But I’ll admit I like winter more than I like summer, but maybe that just makes me odd. That’s okay though. I already know I’m a strange ranger.” He said with a small laugh before she began speaking again and he listened with a content smile. “Well, looks like I’m going to have to add that to my rather long list of things to do soon. You should tag along with me---wait--- that sounded wrong. Forget I said that.” He said with a large frowned and took a rather long awkward drink of his coffee allowing his little remark to hopefully pass and be forgotten. “Oh, why would you not be able to see them this year? You’re not disabled…and they could come up here and you host the Christmas day thing. I’m sure they’d all like a small vacation to London. The snow is a plus.” He might do that for his and his wife’s side of the family if they wanted to. He wasn’t going to force them to do something they didn’t want to do.
“Not entirely sure if that’s a healthy way to live, but I do understand what you’re talking about. I’ve been there and done that.” Robert said with a small, brushing away motion of his hand. “You’ll wear yourself out if you do try to do that. My wife learned that the hard way.” Robert said with a frown before he listened to her, letting off a small sigh of relief that her husband wasn’t a deadbeat. Thank god Chloe had more brains than most poor women these days. “Persistent isn’t always a bad thing.” the older man said with a small smirk. “Aw, let him work his little heart to death until he’s content. It’s better him to tire out than you, and if he doesn’t mind then why not let him?” Robert gave her a gentle smile before nodding, “Well, just remember it’s only a few months and then you can enjoy that wonderful beverage yet again. Probably more than you used to. Kids don’t like to sleep a lot in the beginning. You and your man are going to want to pull your hair out when it’s done and over with.”
“Don’t worry, it’s time for you to settle down and while you have all this down time, I’m sure you can brush up on your pop culture a hell of a lot more and be on top of the game when you return.” Letting off a sharp laugh, Robert shook his head and tired his best to drink more of the coffee before it went cold, but he was having a little of a hard time keeping it still enough for him to put his lips on the plastic lid. “Oh, well, thanks Chloe. Now I’m going to have to look behind me whenever I go down south sometime. I don’t want to get plowed over by some rusty truck.” When she described what musicians did, he couldn’t help but to shrug at it, “Well, when you think about it they don’t do anything much different than from what we do. I’m sure if you sat down and compared both of your careers, you’d have a lot of things that matched up. Instead of memorizing lines, he memorizes lyrics. You both tour in your own right. So on and so forth.” Then a small pause, “Well that’s good. If not then he’d better be some hot motherfucker if you’re only with him for physical-ness. Whatever. But that’s good you can communicate. Three languages? What the fuck, who knows that many and isn’t a translator? I’m convinced you’re married to a robot, Chloe. I’d check him out if I were you.”
Wise Man? : Chloe&RDJ
Chloe laughed, shaking her head. “I like that. It’s true. You’re a smart man. – I don’t know, I don’t have anything against winter, I just always get so sick of it, I feel like. A few weeks in and I’m like, ‘when is it going to be summer again?’ But I’m just looking forward to Halloween and Christmas and all of that. I don’t actually know why.” She didn’t have any plans, she wasn’t sure if she’d be visiting her family for Thanksgiving or Christmas yet. She’d considered it, but especially now, she just wasn’t sure. “It’s just… cheerful times of the year, I guess. But yeah, it can get pretty hot sometimes. That would be… different. Maybe move to a nude beach,” she shrugged, a grin tugging at her lips. “You wouldn’t be arrested there.” Nodding, she smiled softly. “I’m sure it does. I’m always excited for the holidays because I get to see my cousins, and I know, it’s just… so great to see them happy. There’s just something so… nice… when it comes to children being happy.” She couldn’t find the word she was looking for, but that would work. “I don’t know if I’ll get to see them this year or not, though. I bet it is great to have them around. I think it’d be torture, having to live far away from them.” It was bad enough being in a different country than her brothers and her mom, she didn’t think she would ever be able to handle moving away from her own children. She would truly worry herself to death if, in the future, she was in a position that came to that.

Robert smiled when she replied that was fine, thankful she didn’t get hurt. If she hit the ground, she most likely would have been trampled with how much the people around them seem to have been paying attention. “Wow, flatter me much.” He said with a small chuckle helping her until she seemed stable enough on her own to stand. “No need to thank me.” He said with a small wave of his hand as they continued on their never ending path it seemed, “Really? Well, yeah, I guess it’s a little off to see me here, but it wasn’t something I did on purpose. Just as you, I randomly got put in the middle of the thing. It feels like some random flash mob.” Maybe that wasn’t the same thing but at that moment of time he couldn’t have thought of anything better. The heat of people’s breaths and body, even in the cooling air of autumn, he felt overly hot and suffocated.
Looking towards where Kylie had pointed, Robert narrowed his eyes as he examined it through his mind, “Yeah, I think we both might be able to squeeze through there. If not, then I don’t want to know how long we’re stuck in this hell.” He said with a dry scoff before taking her hand and gently pulling them through the people. He was the bigger of the two, so he’d take the blunt of the blows. It had to be a miracle that both of them had squeezed through and were on the safe area that was the sidewalk. He made sure to pulled them towards the buildings instead of near the side of the road where they could just end up right back in the position they had started in and let off a sigh or relied, freeing her hand, and wiped at the sweat that had found its way on his forehead. “Damn, that was a close one.” He said before laughing at the whole situation. “Man, I don’t know about you but I could use a small drink after that.”
Paraded; Kylie&RDJ
Kylie had her moments when she liked to be alone but she also had that side of her where she wanted to go out and face the world, meet new faces, and explore. Luckily, the latter had grabbed her and pulled her out of her flat into what was some sort of parade. She wasn’t quite sure what it was for, just that it was too loud to really ask and people were happy. Trying to make a move further into the crowd probably wasn’t one of her brightest ideas. But it was only partly her fault, seeing as people were starting to push and pull others around. It didn’t bother her at first; it wasn’t much different from being at a concert. People could be a little rough. But she never did lose her footing at a concert.
There was a hard shove that seemed to come out of nowhere and Kylie found herself stumbling. She was already flinching, curling her arms up momentarily before quickly throwing them out again, knowing the hard pavement below her was more than likely her next destination, unable to regain her balance. But she was surprised to find herself in the arms of someone. A man. And more specifically, a particular man she didn’t think she’d see outside of her own dream world. Her eyes grew wide as she stared up at Robert, stuck in a bout of shock before she was able to blink and comprehend the words that were coming from his mouth. Kylie vaguely nodded as she got back on balance, swallowing hard before she forced a smile, tucking her hair behind her ear. “Yeah. Yeah, I’m okay. Thanks to you. Saving lives even outside of the movies.” She smiled a more genuine smile. “Thank you. You are one of the last people I think I ever would have expected to run into here.” Kylie leaned towards him a bit as she spoke, hoping he could hear her well enough without trying to announce to the parade that they had a huge celebrity guest—though it was likely that nobody could hear their own thoughts. “Do you want to…?” She got up on her tips toes a bit, bouncing back and forth on her feet to try and find some sort of exit strategy. “I think we can squeeze through there.” She slightly pointed in the direction a little off to Robert’s side as another person bumped into her and shouted a quick apology as they kept moving right along.

What other word is there to describe it? I’m rubbing them the wrong way aren’t I? No, no I don’t want to be, but I can deal with it. I mean----it’s a job. It won’t last too long anyone. It’s not a huge production like the Avengers or anything. Who doesn’t? You’re telling me you don’t? Like, ‘damn, don’t I look sexy as ever’.

Most people would think that Robert would be comfortable with huge, rushing, loud crowds being it was something that was always present with his career. But he wasn’t. They made him anxious and nervous, causing the feeling of being trapped or trampled to well up within his chest. The worst part of this situation he currently found himself in was that he had no idea what was going on, or where he was going, or how long it would be before everyone dispatched and he would be left alone instead of forcefully drug down street after street. The music was loud in his ears and his body hurt from the hard contact he made with the people and objects around him. It seemed like it was a never ending parade of doom. Of course he would be some of the few people that pulled randomly off the walks to join them. Robert hadn’t his voice to decline the offer before he was already in the mass of people.
As they continued down the road, he watched as they continued to pull more people from their spots and into the ever growing train. It was as if no one was safe from the man eating parade. Being distracted by, well, pretty much everything around him, he didn’t notice that the pulled someone from the sidewalk closest to him, and practically threw the poor woman in. As any normal, surprised person would do, she tripped, losing her balance, almost falling towards the rough payment of the street. Until Robert quickly caught her before anything happened letting off a sigh of relief. He was less worried about what the pavement would have done to her, but what the people behind them tromping away would have done. “Are you okay?” He asked as he waited for her to regain her equilibrium, dragging them both forward.

“I don’t know if I even want to imagine it.” Robert said with a frown, eyes darting to the side for some sort of visual emphasis. “Really? I don’t mind winter that much to be honest. It has its own perks like summer does and you know what I say? You can always put on more clothes but you can only take so many off, unless you want to get arrested for public indecency.” He said with a slight laugh, smirking some, “To be honest, if it was that hot, don’t think I wouldn’t be running around in my birthday suit if I could.” He enjoyed winter himself due to all the holidays that came along with it. It was nice to spend them with his family and to be honest, he was far happier during those festive times than what they do during the summer on the beach. Plus he didn’t have to worry about getting a hideous sunburn. “You’re going to enjoy it a lot more when you have----“He stopped himself before just motioning towards her and rubbing the back of his neck, “It gives a new meaning to it. All I want to do during that time is make my children smile. A smile they do.” He said with a small laugh and shrug of his shoulders, “I can’t even begin to explain how relieved I am to have them all here with me.” It had been so lonely with them gone.
“A few months, huh? I guess when you finally are able to notice it yourself and you won’t be able to deny it at all.” He said, silently, the humor really not present in his voice any longer, being nervous for Chloe himself. As she went on, he realized how mature she seemed to be in her mindset and he was thankful for that. “Well just remember this isn’t only dealing with you. There is someone else who is supposed to help you through all of this as well. It’s not all your burden.” He said firmly, lips pressed into a thin line once he was finished. “I know you’re independent, but you’re going to learn that with a child it is really hard to do it alone----don’t let him not help you. I don’t want to have to beat someone’s ass for being a deadbeat. “Sometimes change isn’t a bad thing, but it’s a sudden change. I hope you’re not going to get overwhelmed by it all.”
When Chloe explained that she wasn’t really in the ‘in’ right now, it surprised him and he couldn’t help but laugh a little loudly at the concept. “I don’t know about that, I don’t know. But I guess I’m going to have to just take your word for it. Not like any of that matters. It’s not in our field of work. We need to know what’s going on with pop movies, because that is how we get our jobs.” He said with a smirk before, rolling his eyes at her playfully, “Yeah, yeah. Or she could join us.” He said with a wiggle of his eyebrows, before biting down hard on his lip to keep from smiling, but it soon failed. “Oh—wow—defensive are we. Let me guess, he sings Pop? Well most country stars sing about cheating partners, drinking, fishing, hunting, and their big’ol trucks. What is there to worry about them?” He wondered what sort of backlash he would receive if he ever said that to someone who wrote it down and posted it onto social media. A lot probably. “It would be cool, and you and I are both in the same boat when it comes to that. I can’t sing worth a lick, but that’s cool. I’m already too awesome as it is, me singing would destroy the balance that is I the world.” He watched her look around before doing the same himself, “Italiano. Interesting, I heard their----interesting people. Is it true that all they eat is pasta and tomatoes? Oh, so I’m assuming he must know English or you’d have one fucked up relationship if it was all physical.” He said with a life of his eyebrow. “Oh I don’t know another language, I couldn’t imagine even trying to learn”
Wise Man? : Chloe&RDJ
“I’m sure that does make for an interesting life. I’m one of those people that seems to overthink every single little thing I do, so I can’t even imagine what that would be like.” Sometimes she felt like she even overthought things as simple as breathing and walking. She didn’t know when she had became that kind of person, but she’d been that way ever since she could remember. She wasn’t exactly the most spontaneous person you could meet, but maybe that was for the best. She would have probably gotten herself into a lot more trouble in her teenage years if she was. “True, true. Another reason to be excited for the cool weather. I can’t believe I’m actually looking forward to winter.” It seemed like she was just crossing her fingers that everything would warm up, but now fall was approaching quickly and she couldn’t be happier about the pumpkin flavored things and Halloween decorations hitting the shelves, or the snow they would probably be seeing soon enough, and the excitement and happiness you could almost just feel in the air. And along with that would come the Christmas specials and jingles you couldn’t avoid hearing and lights and trees and red and green everywhere you looked, and for some reason, she found herself smiling at even the thought.

I could seem a littler overbearing to them, couldn’t I? You’re right, I just need to stop thinking about it and just go and do my work until it’s finished. Then I don’t have to worry about it anymore, do I? Ah, you know me so well Angie. So well.

You have a strong personality and there’s nothing wrong with that. Maybe they’re just sensitive or don’t quite ‘get’ your jokes. But I’m sure that’s only because they don’t know you all that well yet. I know how hard it can be, feeling like you don’t really fit in. But you can’t let yourself get caught up in worrying about whether or not they like you. You have to wake up every morning and look right at yourself in the mirror and say, “I’m awesome.” Oh, wait – you already do that every morning, don’t you?

Robert sighed and nodded, “Reporters are fun to mess around with. I guess they’ll be able to up my mood. Some teasing here and there never hurt anyone.” He wasn’t sure if even they could up his mood. Jude nodded slightly, not interrupting his friend while he spoke. Somehow he understood how Robert was feeling - after all, nobody likes the new kid in the playground do they? “I see….” he crossed his arms and looked at him “At least you won’t be alone…by what I saw,the reporters wont give you the chance to feel lonely..
