He was born a half-blood via an affair; his mother was a muggle and his real father a pureblood death eater who whether alive or dead, Jude himself thinks little of. The man that became his father and whom he grew up with was the man his mother married.

Antoinette and Nathaniel Montague had two other sons prior to Jude, one died and the other Charles was the brother Jude grew up butting heads with. 

His father was an Auror and his mother worked in the sector of healing. 

He and Charles butted heads because they were opposites, Jude a Gryffindor and Charles a Slytherin. It also didn’t help that following their time in school Charles chose to fall in line with the Death Eaters while Jude followed in their father’s footsteps and became an Auror. 

Their parents died at the hands of Death Eaters and perhaps that was the last straw for his brother who then attempted to kill Jude. 

He failed and of course, they haven’t spoken since; Jude is aware he has a niece and nephew being that they are one of the few reasons he doesn’t care to hunt down his brother even if there’s a part of him that would like to make him suffer. 

He’s been an Auror for nearly twenty-five years and is grateful that he’s managed to stay alive. 

He lives in a victorian gothic, haunted-looking home left to him by his parents along with his cat Alfred.

His style is very gothic formal; I imagine he wears long dark coats and wears probably too much black.

 He is also Irish.
