I am not from here, excuse me, what's an SMPverse? Who are these people?

//Hi there!! I think this is more or less a question outside of the characters, so I’d love to explain!! :DD

//SMPVerse is an old Minecraft SMP I used to run with a couple close friends!! What started as a simple server ended up expanding into some lore within the past couple years, having run for at least two seasons!!✨

//Every member had their own story to tell within in— this blog expands on my characters’ stories (and those connected as well)!! Though, it’s more of an AU atm than canon continuation of the SMP!!

//I, Apple, am the main storyteller/writer of this version of SMPVerse (but have had permission from my friends’ to use their characters too)!! Raylan and Ray are mine as well, and I won’t spoil much if I can help it, but I hope it’s picked up that there’s a strange complication between them!! X]

//There’s no fandom or fanbase ofc, but you’ll find that I draw (and respond to) some friends who like to keep up with their story as well!! If you’re interested in a sneak peek of the past, I can provide a link to an old twitter account below (there isn’t very much story there however, and the second season never made it onto the account either):

//What it boils down to really is just a fun story I wrote for an old SMP, haha!! And I thank everyone who’s interacted for taking an interest in these characters!! ^^

Oh yeah! The festival! Uh... mind refreshing me on what exactly that festival is all about? I-I didn't forget, it's just-

Ray: Well, I only really talked about the competition, so I can tell you all a little more about the SMPVerse’s Crafters’ Festival!!

Ray: Every year or so the players all come together mostly for the competition, since most members participate in it. . .

Ray: But that’s not the only reason!!

Ray: We also get traders from other places to join us, selling their wares and trinkets, as well as out own locals doing the same!!

Ray: Food, drinks, games, and showing off our members’ skills!! It’s just a few days of fun, really!!

Ray: Then we end the last night off with a firework show!!

Ray: Doesn’t that sound amazing?? Ah, thanks for this question, I love talking about the festival!!

Ray: You sound a bit unwell though. . .

Oh uhm well- They were very, uh, excitable? Friendly, open, eager to answer questions not unlike you- and... desperate....

We haven't seen them since. We hoped you knew them because you look so very alike and, in a weird twist of fate, even share the same name. Raylan.

Hope this isn't too weird to throw at you! Not amidst a fun competition.

[For a brief moment, it seemed as though the screen darkened.]

[RAY had been shaking, hand covering their mouth. . .]

Ray: Well, is that right?

Ray: That’s definitely an interesting twist of fate, yes indeed! But no, not weird. . .

Ray: I’m sorry that someone you seem to hold so dearly isn’t here with you now!

Ray: I’d promise to do my best in helping you look for your friend, but. . .

Ray: With the festival underway, I don’t know how much time I can afford to lose!

Ray: Still, I hope things work out soon enough, for the both of us!

Ray: You know, I never really questioned that myself!

Ray: She’s just always been a raccoon, I suppose? I should really ask her for you guys haha!!

Uh... hey! What are your favorite builds your friends have made? Just- o-out of curiosity?

Ray: Oh!! Man, I wish I could gush about all their builds!! Everyone’s so creative!!

Ray: But I can’t give out spoilers so early, haha!!

Ray: You’ll have to wait until the festival happens!!

Ray: Though, I’d be lying if I said I wasn’t biased towards Pumpkin’s build!!

[RAY turns around, wondering if anyone from the community had sent that question.]

[Behind them, standing expectantly, was infact one of the community members.]

Ray: . . .

Ray: ????

[RAY is at a loss for words, but he hopes this is the best she’ll accept.]

Ray: Sorry for the delay, but I found the picture!! This is Lily, my raccoon little sister!!

Ray: She’s a free spirit, so I don’t see her as often, but she’ll be stopping by for the festival!!

Ray do you-?... Very silly question. Do you have like... A twin?

I know someone just like you and you look SO alike. I think the only difference is like- the eye colour. Any resembling family members?

Ray: A twin, really? Now isn’t that strange, but no, I don’t have a twin!!

Ray: As far as I can remember, I do have a younger sister, but I’ve been told we’re so very different that people have a harder time believing we’re related at all!!

Ray: Hah! I should get you all a picture of her sometime— the others actually gave me one of her letters not too long ago!!

Ray: Maybe you’re talking about her? But, then again— well, you’ll see what I mean when I say we’re very different!!

Ray: Still, can you tell me more about this ‘twin’? I’m really curious what they’re like!!

Ray: It doesn’t hurt to get to know them better, even if we won’t ever meet!
