Have I been reading every story that I found at a suitable pace? Could I say that I've read the stories of everyone precious to me thoroughly and didn't miss a single thing?

I’m still mad at the writer of When The Phone Rings for the debacle that was the finale weekend - not 1 but both episodes. E12 took the cake for me. I think now I can laugh about the whole disaster.
How does a writer who gives us the best romantic arc of 2024 - eff up the whole thing in matter of minutes.
It’s a 101 on how to take the axe and chop of your own foot! Takes some level of skill to mess up a picture perfect romance.

listen i know praise has been heaped on Yoo Yeon Seok and Chae Soo Bin, and rightfully so, for their roles in When The Phone Rings, but i really hope that Park Jae Yoon gets the level of recognition he deserves because the job he's done has been insane. the physicality of his portrayal of OG Baek Sa Eon is mind blowing; the speech patterns, the way he moves and holds himself, how consistent he's been through the whole show, through every scene, every moment, every movement, every line.
but also like where did this guy even come from? the one tiny fragment of information about him on MDL is that he's a musical actor, which makes sense since he's clearly talented and experienced, but he's only had what looks like two bit parts on camera before WTPR.
i really hope he stays in television and film because i would love to see more of him after this. i want to see what else he can do. i hope he's getting scripts thrown at his feet right now and that he has his pick of projects and gets to do what he wants. i hope he's ridiculously successful. i hope we get to see him again soon.

Yeah okay they… definitely made some choices.
Ngl while the drama itself is an 8/10 I loved it!
That ending was a 4/10 💀
The first and last 15 minutes of the drama was the only saving grace.
Everything in the middle was so stupid fr 😭
Look I understand that sometimes we can’t help but feel guilty about things. I’m sure Saeon/yuyeon knows it wasn’t his fault and he even said that the fact heejoo knew everything but still wanted to be with him was his rationalization. Yet he had the need to punish himself which I get.
BUT WHAT WAS HIS FUCKING THOUGHT PROCESS TO GO TO FUCKIN ARGAN??? WHY DID HE THINK “Ah yes! Become a vigilante in a warzone! That’s exactly what will punish me!”
There were millions of ways they could’ve gone about this 😭 that reasoning is almost Penthouse levels of stupid writing. He could’ve just left and lived poor. Him being like “yeah i was able to live in luxury i no longer deserved this.” Or something similar???
Also why the hell did they try to sympathize Heejoo’s mom in the last 2 episodes bro 😭 when she spent the entire drama being a bitch. Cause I’m very sure they could’ve made her like just.. a misunderstood mom where you could be like “yeah she’s obviously parenting her wrong but you 100% get where she’s coming from.” But nooooooo 😭
Anyways, the first 15 minutes of them wrapping up storylines like the baek family was nice. Not much I could say about it
Loooooved the last 15 minutes. Loved seeing the characters get together for like lunch. The house they’re in is so lively and beautiful. I like the jobs they both picked. Saeon looks fine as hell in that suit and glasses. Also love Dojae still being his assistant and he looks glad to be there too.
Lastly the most appreciation to my favorite comedic relief no matter what drama he’s in:

So the first half of the last episode was completely unnecessary and boring and the second half was everything I wanted from this show, so mixed feelings overall

My favourite things about the finale:
1. Hee-joo got to set the terms and timeline of her interactions with her parents.
2. Mr Kang was so proud to see his protege turn into a good husband and was raring to guide another husband on the path of healthy masculinity.

I have....thoughts about the final episode of WTPR, and I guess by extension some of Ep 11 as well (*stares at the fictional warzone*). In any case, some of those thoughts are along the lines of how I would have made the plot go if I had been writing this.
The thoughts are still kinda cooking (I only watched the finale a couple hours ago lol) but maybe I'll throw them into a post at some point in the future.

I know whenever I commit a crime, I want Park Do-jae's lawyer.
He's out after attempted murder, arson,...
Sure, he cooperated, but still!

Amazing how much of a jerk he looks like in these flashback scenes.
I get it that he had his plans but the poor girl was at no fault. If you saved her from one abusive marriage then what was the point of not even letting her breathe easy a little.
Almost everyone in her life knew she could talk but he didn't. Because he didn't spend enough time with her to notice that.
And now poor girl is suffering because his entire family is off the nuts crazy.

Totally unrelated, but keep in mind that Baek Sa-eon's mother is one of the country's first negotiation experts and a former criminal psychologist.
