Fic Stats Meme

I'm not used to doing these things so I'm not sure if this will be formatted correctly, wish me luck. I was tagged by @jenseits-der-sterne so I had to do it! Most Hits: Marks Left Unseen This is my longest (and one of the oldest) completed fanfics that I wrote with another writer. I wrote Zelda's POV originally in 2018/2019 and they wrote Link's. The premise is a possible theory for how Zelda's hair was cut alongside a typical near-death scenario that ultimately has a happy ending, which is my personal favourite premise for fanfics (if any of you guys have fic recs of Zelda whump, pleaaase send them to me) 2nd Most Kudos: Forsaken Progeny I binge watched the entirety of TOTK on Youtube the day it came out and emotionally wrote this in the middle of my 3 hour long college lecture. It's basically just a word vomit of all my feelings projected about Zelda's in-game experience. Frankly, I'm not super proud of it, but because it was one of the first fics posted after TOTK was released it got a lot of traction. 3rd Most Comments: Composing Our Future in-character letters written w/ the one and only @jenseits-der-sterne ! I wrote it and asked if anyone wanted to collaborate and she kindly responded and provided the most gorgeous Link reply. We originally planned on adding more chapters, so I have a 2nd Zelda response deep in the trenches of my google drive that I had hoped on posting one day to surprise her (eventually... saying it here because I have NO idea when it'll be) 4th Most Bookmarks: Overly Overbearing A snippet of an angsty arranged marriage AU that I wrote with the same person who I wrote Marks Left Unseen with. Definitely one of the most fun fics to write that unexpectedly got SUPER popular. I'm not sure if we'll ever end up finishing the full long-fic version, though. 5th Most Words: Evocation One of my favourite oneshots that I've written between Link and Zelda, it bounces between pre and post-calamity through Zelda's narration and it's pretty soft. You can tell it's one of my much older fanfics because I refuse to use ANY capitalization (on purpose, as an aesthetic choice that I thankfully no longer subscribe to) Least Words: A Parting Message I believe this is the first fic I wrote for Legend of Zelda as a whole. It's a letter Zelda leaves for Link in the shrine before going to face Ganon, and even though it's been years I still really enjoy it. I think this is another fic I would be totally open to collaboration on, I'd love to see Link's response once he remembers her (,: I'm not sure who to tag that hasn't done this already, so anyone is welcome to do it if they wish!

How Long Did It Take Link To Defeat Calamity Ganon?

This is all just bad game maths and estimations, im sorry

SO! Lete get straight into the nitty gritty.

1 Day in BotW's Hyrule equates to 24 Minuets in real time- with an hour taking 60 seconds (a minuet).

According to Nintendo, just completing the devine beasts and killing Calamity Ganon takes around 60 hours- as a non speed run.

Simple maths can tell us that 60 hours into minuets is 3600. And then 3600 ÷ 24 gives us 150.

According to Nintendo, it took Link 150 days to defeat Calamity Ganon!

But... that is just doing the Divine Beasts-

When I went into BotW I was mostly blind- and had no assistance to help me on my journey through Hyrule- and as a fan of TLoZ anyhow, I did my fair bit of exploring and such before deciding I was finished (I had no DLC or anything)

The average time it takes to complete the DLC is 20 hours, apparently!

So, taking my whopping 340 hours (aprox) in BotW, and doing the same maths as earlier, this totals to about 850 days without DLC and 900 days with DLC!

For a more realistic estimation, It took Link 2 Years 3 Months to defeat Calamity Ganon

(Almost an extra 2 months if you include the DLC- which aproximaetly makes Link 19 by the time hes finished)

I can’t read enough Japanese to be able to translate much of the notes on these maps, so this is what it looks to me what’s going on. I could be off on some things, but I don’t think I am. Seems pretty straightforward and makes sense, although the last one confuses me a bit. Anyway, thought these might be of interest to some people so I decided to share them. There’s a whole history section in the back of the book that looks very interesting but sadly I can’t read it yet :’(

excuse me, excuse me attention please. i am desperately searching for some laid back ass plots and partners. i’m talking texts and chats and messaging back and forth bc yes we love our chars and our plot but we are just too damn busy or we can’t get in the right mindset to write something perfect rn. partners i can hc with in the middle of the night bc we have sO MANY IDEAS that may become a reality but there’s no rush for it. you know what i mean? like yes let’s start a para one day but while i put off writing (bc i’m lazy af or at work or you’re busy or dealing with life) let’s have them texting or a little gif chat or phone call. let’s start a dozen different plots and pairings (bc we always take on too many) and there’s no rush. let’s be scattered and start multiple paras at a time and some are long and some aren’t and it’s just no big deal. just something fun and relaxed where there’s no need to feel bad ab not having a ton of muse or time. am i making sense. come to me pls.
