Max and Nicole are fantastic friends of my family who gave me my first job at a doggy daycare a few years back. They fled abusive, violent family and relocated themselves and their dogs (they are trainers and dog breeaders) to South Carolina after being promised a home and jobs at a kennel, but were then stranded without a car, the jobs promised, or any sort of stable income. The woman who promised to help them get a desperately needed new start has completely flipped her shit and given them 13 days to clear out or she'll call the cops(ON A QUEER COUPLE IN RURAL SC). They do not have transportation they do not have food and they do not have money. They've been offered a U-haul but I would not be surprised if she decided to break that promise too. More details in the gfm itself- I am honestly so fucking mad I'm having trouble writing this. They were promised an opportunity by someone they trusted and then pretty much trapped there, but now she's trying to frame things as if they're the dangerous/exploitative ones. Their only crime is accepting what they thought would be help from someone who spent months convincing them she would change things for the better and now they're stuck in another goddamn state.

hi i hastily made this post last night and i must emphasize the urgency. the above screenshot is a message from about half an hour ago.

the posts my girlfriend @gnost-stories made in various facebook housing groups haven't been helping and without mincing words, roommates want her out immediately. it's absolutely a horrible time to have this emergency and i am terrified about her ending up on the streets.

URGENTLY seeking a room in north seattle, close to public transit strongly preferred. budget is $850 before utilities. financial situation is unpredictable until the end of january, so a room without need for deposit, last month's rent, etc would be ideal. she does have stable employment so this will not be an issue for long.

The fucking audacity to play victim after stranding a couple and all their dogs in a state not only on the other side of the country, but with far worse conditions for LGBT+ people, trans folks specifically. Actual villain shit. I'm at a loss for words. Max and Nicole are absolutely wonderful and employed me during COVID. They only let me go when their batshit transphobic, homophobic family started showing up to threaten them, and they weren't sure if it was safe for me to be present anymore. I am so fucking angry it's unreal. What the fuck. Like what else do I even say!

I never imagined I’d find myself in this position, writing these words with a heart full of fear and despair. Our family has lost more than ten loved ones—taken from us in cold blood, one after the other. The most recent were my uncle and his eldest son. We are falling like leaves in the wind, and the fear now extends beyond ourselves to those who remain, especially the children who have yet to experience what safety truly means.

Today, I am reaching out because I see no other way. With a heavy heart, I ask for your help, knowing how difficult it is for me to request donations or assistance. But the circumstances have left me no choice. My only wish is to protect my little ones, to find a way out of this nightmare, and to bring them to a place of safety.

I'll always be a PMD2 stan and I do have some criticisms regarding PSMD (mainly pacing and very sudden, harsh difficulty curve??) But one thing they ABSOLUTELY got right was the soundtrack. The final boss music turning partner's theme (sweet, nostalgic, really good at instilling a sense of curiosity and warmth) into an epic orchestral score? That was fucking awesome are you SERIOUS? Genius move I mean it. Wish I knew music theory words so I could accurately describe how impactful it feels but I'll just leave it at "it slaps"
