ICE raids are set to start as soon as tuesday (JAN 21, 2025) in Chigago so make sure you know your rights, your community, and your plan.

ICE MUST have a warrant to search/enter any property. they will lie and manipulate you to allow them on the premises but if they arent holding a valid document in their hands they cannot legally do anything

They may say something like "our warrant is in the truck," tough shit, have them bring it to you, DO NOT FOLLOW THEM ANYWHERE. Do not leave your property if confronted.

If you are taken, say nothing until a lawyer is present. The exception is if there are bystanders present/filming, then you should shout your name and whats happening

If you are witnessing a raid in your community, wait to warn others via phone as the cops may be monitoring nearby communications and may use that to select their next targets. Warn by code or word of mouth

hi guys. i haven’t been on tumblr in a long long time due to personal reasons but i do kind of have something i need to ask for. right now my parents are evicting me from the apartment they help me pay for. its a long story, but they don’t think that im up to the standard of our family essentially. im moving in with my wife’s family but right now im a visitor in canada and im trying to get my papers sorted. due to suffering financial abuse and persecution for my sexuality/gender in my home country, im going to try to apply for refugee status. in the meantime, im looking for a job in my wife’s home town and also going to be doing some commissions.

i guess the underlying truth is that men in general will seek to find special categories that somehow absolve them from complicity in patriarchy. or at least provide them with enough plausible deniability to assauge their guilt.

men of color claim that they can't, and don't, access the full weight of patriarchy because their race prevents them from doing so, gay men claim they can't access patriarchy because of homophobia, disabled men claim it because of ableism, and trans men claim it because of transphobia. and yet these men all retain access to patriarchy, and make use of it. there are, obviously, women who suffer under racism, ableism, homophobia, and transphobia who are exploited by these men. often the exploitation comes in the form of having to shape every aspect of our lives to support them through their inability to cope with being marginalized.

Okay, without trying to take away from the joy we are feeling, we must stay vigilant. This ceasefire deal is 3 phases, the first is a 42 day pause for hostage exchange which is set to start on SUNDAY, as long as Netanyahu’s cabinet signs off on it. The IOF is not expected to fully retreat from Gaza, but stay to ‘mandated zones’. Palestinians are meant to be able to return to their homes, but with Israeli soldiers still there, this is not a guarantee. The 600 aid trucks a day into Gaza during this 42 day phase 1 is still not enough.

THIS IS NOT OVER. We do not know the details of phase 2 and 3, and nothing has been agreed for these phases in writing. We must not get complacent in this moment of respite. Please, do not stop fighting. This is not over until every Palestinian can return home, until the occupation is gone, until all of Palestine is free.

Keep protesting and campaigning, keep donating because aid organisations need all the help they can get, especially in the next 6 weeks, and it might be the only window people get to evacuate. This is a step in the right direction, but it is not over.

I am so thankful that most of my Palestinian family members have survived, but the fact that some of them didn't (one of whom was a child only fifteen when he died) will weigh on my soul forever. And even through that suffering I know I am fortunate, for many more people have lost their families entirely, and even more have been killed. Help Mohamad reunite his family and clear his debt

I am reaching out on behalf of my dear friend, Mohamad S., who is facing one of the most challenging times of his life. Mohamad is 37 years old and left his homeland in 2015 in search of a safer and better future. He’s a kind, hardworking man, and his small family has always been his greatest priority.

Living abroad, Mohamad has recently endured unimaginable loss and financial strain. Amidst the ongoing conflict in his homeland, his mother passed away, leaving behind his sister and her five young children—the last remaining members of his immediate family.

As the situation worsened, Mohamad managed to help his sister and her children escape to safety in Egypt, covering their immediate needs and securing a temporary refuge for them. Since then, he has been fully responsible for providing everything they need to survive during this transition.

In his efforts to support his family and cope with this devastating loss, Mohamad has found himself deeply in debt. To make matters even more difficult, he recently underwent knee surgery, which limits his ability to return to work for the foreseeable future. This has made it even harder for him to manage his financial responsibilities and the pressing need to provide his family with a stable future.

Mohamad is now working to bring his sister and her five children to join him in Belgium, where he hopes they can find stability and opportunity after all they’ve endured. This transition, however, requires significant resources that he is currently unable to meet alone.

For privacy reasons, we are not sharing Mohamad’s full name, as he has chosen to keep his identity discreet. While he initially refused the idea of asking for help, I couldn’t stand by and watch him struggle alone. I insisted on doing this for him because he deserves a chance to overcome these challenges and provide a stable future for his family.

Your contribution will help Mohamad repay the debt incurred during this difficult time, cover ongoing living expenses for his family, and assist with the costs involved in bringing them safely to Belgium.

My name is Nour, and I’m 21 years old from northern Gaza.

I once lived a peaceful life with simple dreams, but everything changed on October 7th, 2023, when war tore through Gaza. I had to flee my home, leaving behind everything I knew, and now I live alone in a tent made of torn fabric in southern Gaza.

The constant bombings are unbearable, but being a lesbian in a society that rejects me is even harder.

I live in constant fear of judgment and violence. On top of this, I face extreme shortages of food, water, and basic supplies.
