Swordcraft quest in photos! Swordcraft is a larp/battlegame from Melbourne Australia, and every 6 months or so we have a week long IC event called quest.  Honestly, quest get better every time. This time was honestly one of the best I've been to, despite being worked off my feet the whole time! Bonus photo of me working in the tavern. Yes, we have a working tavern at quest.

Last week I made John and myself a couple of cute little tripod stools. I tried to make them as sturdy as possible, while also keeping them light and portable. I made the shoulder strap detachable so I can still carry it around by clipping it onto my belt. At first I was pretty unsure of whether I should dye mine or not, but now I really love it and I think the teal really pops! These are going to be so great and handy at quest, I can’t wait! I made them following this super handy tutorial. I also filmed the process, but I’m not sure whether I’ll make it into a video or not…

As some of you might already know, my beloved helmet – together with the Helmet of Klaus Hu Fruhmann, two falchions and two curved punch shields and one of my gauntlets – were stolen on our way home from ITOC, somewhere between our check in on O’Hare Airport and our final destination in Vienna. We had a stop in Madrid Airport, but we only got our luggage back in Vienna. Unfortunately neither the Airline, nor the Lost and Found on any of the visited Airports has any clue who could have taken our stuff out of the military bag. The bag itselfe arrived empty in Vienna. I attach some Fotos to this post, in case anyone of you stubles across any of our armor pieces online or in any second hand market in US, Spain or Austria. why do i keep seeing female larp blogs being asked this?

Are you able to roll your eyes back like a warg from GoT?

Okay so when I was little, I used to sleep with my eyes half open, except when you sleep your eyes roll back slightly to protect your cornea, (this is called Bells Phenomenon or the palpebral oculogyric reflex). But apparently my eyes rolled back pretty far so all my parents could see was the white of my eyes as I slept and it really freaked them out. I can still sort of do it, but it’s not perfect. And alas, no animal mind control for me.
