oh and to anyone saying things along the lines of “well next time florida gets hit with a hurricane we’ll know they deserve it,” about a red state:
you’re not cute. you’re not funny. there are actual living breathing people in those states. good people. there are women, poc, disabled, and queer folk in those states. people who voted blue and were simply outnumbered by the facism that’s taking over this country.
to say someone deserves to be hit with a natural disaster because they live at a certain latitude and longitude is insane. it’s not their fault they live in a red state. grow up

If I have to see one more “we survived him before we can do it again” post I’m going to scream.
So many people didn’t. So many more people are going to die. Women are going to bleed out in parking lots because doctors are scared to give them the abortion they need. Migrates are going to die in detention centers. Kids are going to have their parents ripped away in mass deportations. Potentially millions of people are going to lose their healthcare.
Yes, we keep fighting, but don’t say we survived before. A lot of people didn’t.
