Archive.org is facing a lawsuit

tldr: the Internet Archive/WayBack Machine is super important in term of archived content, billions of stuff are on there, and with the current event happening in the world like stated above,without this tool, it will be hard to properly document what took place. It will be easy for certain people to rewrite history. Dont let them.

I am listening to a 2010 nostalgia playlist on youtube with my discord open so that it feels like im in a listening party with someone, anyone really.

I will talk here while listening to Latch by Disclosure and Sam Smith.

I feel so lonely. I mean I’m really used to it, you know. I’m single since birth, never had any real relationship. I’m fine with it, truly, but there are just times when I’ve seen one to many tiktoks of happy couples, read a cute and fluffy piece of fanfiction or watched another shitty and sappy movie, or, like this time, lietened to a very intimate song about attachments.

Times like these are when my pillow screams, twitter ranting or frustrated Minecraft playing couldn’t stop my morbid curiousity on the matter. How does it feel like? And I don’t mean the great things like “what does it mean to love?” Or “what is romance?”, “what do you mean by enamored?” No, its the simple things like how does it feel like to listen to music with someone, to make meaning out of the most useless bullshit, talk until kingdome come, make the most random inside jokes made at 3AM, have someone listen to my rants, someone who will rant their boring day to me. A temporary safe spae, comfort in this choatic world.

How does it feel? Is it as pleasant as the song goes? Does feel like what the fanfictions says? Does it look as good as the one on tiktok? I don’t know. I hope I find out.

What did we do to deserve Bill Nye

I think that one of the funniest things about the “Earth is a death planet and human’s are space orcs” posts and stuff is that that’s literally a major plot point in Animorphs. Like, the aliens in the series frequently comment on how there is just an extremely excessive amount animals with unique ways to kill or maim you on the planet, and that humans, despite looking fragile and weak in comparison, are scary as shit because they’re stubborn and ruthless and refuse to stop even when any sane species would have given up ages ago. Like there are aliens described as “walking salad shooters” with bladed spikes shooting out all over their bodies, and then you find out that all of that is just so they can harvest tree bark to eat and a whole army of them can be disabled by a single skunk. It is described in loving detail all the different ways a house cat can fuck you up, and don’t even get me started on actual predators and the damage they can do when a ridiculous stubborn, reckless, and creative human brain is what’s controlling them. The alien invaders comment about how they’re going to have to basically kill off 90% of earths species once they win the war because the planet is so damn excessive about this whole ‘murder animals’ thing, and sometimes they’re even like “you know, in hindsight, this is not nearly as easy as we assumed it would be”
