What if Bruno didn’t actually tell Isabela and Dolores their futures, exactly? What if, his sisters were about to have babies close together, and as soon as they were born, He had a vision for each?
And first, Isabela is born, and Julieta shows him his first niece and he has this ‘wonderful’ vision of her future? And Julieta is pleased, Abuela is happy and Pepa is all excited for what he might say for her baby?
Bruno is delighted too, because he thinks this is finally how he’s useful to the family, and he’s going to do it for all the children, when his sisters have more. He already knows there will be more; he peeked. He’ll make it like a tradtion.
Then Dolores arrives, and her future sounds so incredibly sad. so full of pain. And Pepa is upset for weeks.
Bruno resolves never to look into the future of his nieces and nephews again. That’s why Abuela had to beg him to look at Mirabels in the first place, after the door ceremony. The ‘bad’ side of that vision was like the final straw that led to his leaving.
Side note: The girls know what the visions were because they were public knowledge at the time, and Dolores still hears people talk about it sometimes. It’s also why Pepa focuses on the issue at her wedding, even though it was so long ago. She doesn’t know that Dolores knows, so she can’t bring up that part of it.

I hate how forgotten Rogue One is. It’s genuinely one of the best Star Wars movies to date. The lead characters all manage to stand out as individuals with stories of their own and the ending is an emotional roller coaster. This movie took a semi-plothole from way back in ANH and spun a story that enriched the franchise incredibly. R1 is how a “dark” SW movie should be done, taking a twist to the classic format and making it more grounded in the true perils of war while retaining the core messages of hope and (found) family.

If you’re part of a group of nerd girls you’re either the cottagecore/mori girl friend, the vaporwave/cyberpunk, the dark academia, the classic kawaii/Lolita girl, the everything neon/Sonic the Hedgehog and Mabel Pines, the gremlin who plays Animal Crossing in their pjs all day, or the one who watched Coraline + Nightmare Before Christmas as a child and let it shape your personality a lil too much; sorry, I don’t make the rules 🤷🏻♀️

I think my favorite end credits scene from Phineas and Ferb is the one from “It’s About Time!” Lawrence repeating “Fossils! Dun dun dun!” along with the audio guide in the middle of the night is funny, but my favorite part is watching Linda wake up and look at Lawrence. She’s not irritated that he’s not letting her sleep; she’s just watching him and smiling and not saying a word. And you just know, from that simple little 30-second clip, that Linda and Lawrence have a happy, loving, healthy relationship and that’s a really good thing to have.
