It boggles my mind how people would go to such lengths to demonize Rook to defend Solas. Like yes Rook should have stood there and waited for Solas at the ritual site like a good boy and let him release demons into Thedas. It wasn’t like Solas messed up his own ritual because he stabbed Varric. No, it must be Rook’s fault. Like you have to always blame someone else other than Solas. It’s Rooks fault, it’s Mythal’s, its Varric’s, etc. let him get some accountability like damn. You guys treat solas like he’s not a grey character and coddle him like a baby.

Because some Solas fans have head cannons about Solas and if information in a game contradicts it, they get mad. Some like to gatekeep him aggressively where in most cases if Solas is not with lavellan some people think it’s a slight against them or Solas. People are way too attach to him so much so they feel like being mean to people is fine or just being salty…. There’s little to no proper fandom etiquette here. It’s like a beef here every week.

Is it just me, or are Solas' fans horribly at each other's throats these days? It started during Veilguard over the Solavellan ending, then it was over Mythal, some time later it was dreadrook, then something about AI fanfics, and now it's a full blown disaster over a joke Trick Weekes made. And people who aren't Solas' fans are joining in.

Being in this fandom is just not fun anymore. What's with the sudden divide?

Every time I look in the solas critical tags the AI drama posts show up. Why? This has nothing to do with solas, tag your posts correctly please. I want to see some insightful posts on Solas not this AI drama. Also why is it marked as solrook critical too? Do not make this into another shipper vs shipper war.

I understand not liking Veligard, I have some criticisms about it too. But I think taking screenshots of other’s fanwork and laughing/mocking it with your friends is taking it way too far. Especially when it’s about stupid ship drama….just saying. If you don’t like the ship block the tag and move on. Solas is not worth being this toxic to someone.
