i really really love that luffy is someone who respects agency a lot. he turns down zeff's request to take sanji onto his crew, and respects sanji's view that he wants to stay at the baratie even though everyone in the room knows that sanji does want to go to the grand line. he waits for nami to ask him for help instead of just storming in to take down arlong. he insists that robin says that she wants to live. he turns down kin'emon's request for his crew to save wano because he wants to hear it from momonosuke himself. there's probably more examples but i can't think of any rn

One of the best things in Dan Da Dan so far is that Okarun has this anxiety thing, when he thinks that Momo finds him annoying or lame or something, and then she's like: "First of all, don't assume people's feelings. Rude, man!"

Like, this is a great attitude to take, when anxiety kicks in: you don't know what people think and by assuming that they hate you, you instictively push them away. Of coruse, there are moments when it's clear, but other times you just read too much into things.
