10 tips for casual elegance ⋆。𖦹 °✩
Reading. Reading. Reading. Being well-read is so valuable!! Get cosy, pick up a Jane Austen, Emily Brontë, or maybe a Charles Dickens and spend some of your free time indulging in literature. <3
Soft-spoken and kind expressions. No one likes being around rude people. Being a bitch doesn’t make you look confident. Instead, be kind, make conversation, pay attention, engage, etc… trust me.
Dainty jewellery. Find some high-quality signature pieces.
Think before you speak. Take a moment to reflect on your thoughts so you can speak confidently and with intent without stumbling over your words!! <3
Quality over quantity. Stop buying large amounts of cheap clothing; instead, save up and invest in higher-quality pieces that will actually last you. :)
Practice your handwriting. Having pretty and neat handwriting is a lovely little detail; extra points if you write in cursive. ;)
Drop the tiktok slag. “sticking out your gyat for the rizzler”… just stop, please.
Keep to yourself. Small circle, no bragging, gossips only with the closest, keep your plans to yourself.
Watch your posture. Straighten that back, honey. I see you. :))
Manicured nails. I do mine every two weeks. Almond-shaped, always dark red. <3
As always, Please feel free to add your own suggestions and tips in the comments!! ♡ ₊ ⊹

Girl, look at you. Everything that's happened in your life, you've fucking handled. You work hard, you are strong, you are ambitious, you are resilient. You are genuine and loyal. Anyone who doesn't value what you bring to the table, doesn't deserve you.
You are a Queen.💝🥰

Don't let setbacks become downfalls. Don't let a slip-up become a bad trip. Don't let a small moment become a big failure. No journey is a constant upward line, no one can go without making mistakes along the way. You'll mess up along the way and that's when you'll learn more than ever. Don't beat yourself up and let it become a whirlwind of panic. Take the lesson, get up, and keep going. 🌷

are you sure you don't have time? are you sure you don't have time to workout, or cook, or take better care of your appearance, or invest in a hobby? are you sure you're so busy with your daily obligations that you simply have no free time?
or is it maybe that you're spending what little free time you have on needless news outlets, getting scared for sport? or going out with people who make you feel small and insecure? or catering to family members who only put you down? or trying too hard at a job that will not value your effort? or endlessly scrolling on social media, consuming the same uninspiring content, watching other people brag (or lie) about their achievements?
real effort is a trade off. you're gonna have to give up a lot of things to be able to redirect your time and energy to new experiences, new people, new ideas, new habits. and the first thing you'll have to do is assess what is it that's stealing time away from your healing, because you will have time as soon as you decide that your health is your priority. trust me!

fast food, fast fashion, songs being sped up, tv show seasons being only 8 episodes long, replacing youtube vlogs with fifteen second “day in the life” tiktoks, people in their 20s complaining about being too old...everything is so rushed, we have lost the art of lingering.

She was wild and vivid in a cautious and pale world, always burning a little more brightly than anyone around her. Her husband was beguiled by the dazzle she left in her wake. She made people into happier, bolder versions of themselves. She made her husband into a better man - Carole Radziwill
Carolyn was as charismatic as John was. Charisma, you know, was once a theological term meaning 'grace’! And she had that. I was also impressed with the fact that she was a bit eccentric. She was not conventional in any sense. She reminded me of Jackie in her quirkiness and in her unbelievable capacity to engage one's attention. Carolyn had Jackie's ability to be talking to six people at one time, and make everyone feel like the only one in the room - John Perry Barlow
Bam! In walks the hottest girl I'd ever seen in my life. Tall, bright blond, in loose-fitting jeans and a big blue shirt, she literally glowed. She said hello and turned to John. From somewhere, he pulled out a cigarette-a sure sign he was a wreck because he rarely smoked. Carolyn whipped out her lighter, a Zippo with the words BLUE EYES engraved on it, and lit John's cigarette. She told us she'd gotten the lighter from an old boyfriend, which made me think of roadkill. I asked her, pretending fear, "What happened to him?" She laughed sweetly. I learned later that Carolyn was completely aware of the effect she had on people and chose to disarm or disturb them as she saw fit. That night she chose to leave me hanging. I had trouble looking her in the eye - Robert Littell
Happy (belated) Heavenly Birthday to Carolyn Bessette-Kennedy. She would’ve been 57 yesterday!
