Hey friends! It’s been a while! A little update on my life, I started medication for depression and I’m trying to get my shit together. I wrote a fanfic and I might get a promotion at work! ANYWAY I’d like to talk to everyone about positivity.

Sometimes we have to deal with people who are super awful. Sometimes it feels like the universe is testing us and making us suffer. Truth be told, the universe doesn’t give a shit about us and we are alone on this small blue planet. We are so much more than what people think of us. We are so much more than the negativity that tries to bombard our thoughts. Don’t let the awfulness of people get you down because you are worth so much more. Your value is not defined by others. If someone tries to make you feel terrible, be bitter for a minute and move on from it. There are some people in this world that are going to be negative and sad their entire lives. Leave these toxic people out of your life. If you’ve moved on from a toxic person, good for you because I know it can be hard.

Rehttno, how does one go about life and find purpose?

this is a big question, but here is 1 way. think about how u spend ur time. for each thing, ask urself: does this please rehtt?? (except u, not rehtt.) wherever possible, concentrate on things that please u & let go of things that do not.

this may sound selfish: me me me me, should i not please others as well? but here is the secret: when u focus ur time, energy, & effort on things that please u, ur joy & well-being will increase so much that u will be unable 2 resist pouring that joy out upon others like nacho cheese sauce upon my bff link. let that b ur purpose!! find the things which please u, enjoy them w/o shame, & then let all that soft warm joy spurt freely from u over & over again until—-

it is true that in boring adult life we must do some things which are not pleasing: pay bills, go to dentist, eat congealed pork blood, get vas deferens cauterized. which is why it is **SO** important 2 enjoy the things that please u as much as u can – when ur living the pleased life, u will share ur joy with others via BYMB. things (and people) which do not increase ur joy do not deserve ur time & energy. life is too short, and u r worth 2 much. :) u r doing great

Good afternoon friends, I have a great message for you for today. You’re probably sick of hearing it by now but I’m going to address it anyway. Lately the GMM comment boards have been flooded with a lot of negativity and bullying towards one guest or another. That really sucks. I know these two work hard to entertain us and I’m sure it’s really disheartening for them to see stuff like that. I know it’s disheartenening for me at least. The whole point of of being a Mythical Beast is to promote positivity and kindness. I don’t understand why we have to flood their inboxes with mean, hurtful comments. 

People act like these two internetainers haven’t been doing this since the year 2001. They’ve been around a while and by now we should be able to trust their decisions. We won’t always like it, but there’s always next time and another episode. Be constructive in your criticism instead of hateful and cruel. Give HELPFUL feedback. Not mean spirited snipes towards them and their business.

My next point, EVERYONE is problematic. Everyone has done something in their past that they might not be proud of today. Even Saint Rhett James McLaughlin talked about how he sang songs like “If The South Woulda Won” when he was younger. Divine Child Link was probably driving the truck and singing along too. I remember some of the humor from early episodes that was a little sexist. That doesn’t mean Rhett and Link are monsters or that they should be chased out by an angry social media mob. We are a product of our environment and we have to unlearn the bad behaviors and mindset that society has bred into us. We HAVE to make mistakes in order for us, and for others to learn from them. That doesn’t mean we should just cancel people out. STOP CANCELLING PEOPLE OUT! If someone makes a mistake and genuinely apologizes, why shouldn’t we just give them a break? We need to EDUCATE, instead of talking down to people and creating more frustration and anger. Don’t call people out publicly, if you have a problem send them a direct message instead. People feel the need to defend themselves when they feel humiliated in front of others so it just causes drama and stupid internet spats. (I have to learn this too haha yikes)

Unfortunately, it won’t always work. 

Unfortunately, some people deserve to be called out.

Unfortunately, people can just be straight up garbage. 

The bright side is, I’ve seen people that are absolutely self-aware and can call themselves out on their own behaviors. I’ve seen Beasts be supportive and caring of one another and I’ve seen them stand up for what’s right. We’re not a perfect fandom, but we have some incredible human beings that go above and beyond when it comes to being Mythical and kind. All that said, if you’ve been bullied once, twice, or relentlessly, I’m so sorry. I see you hurting and I know what that feeling is like. Please PLEASE reach out and talk with someone.
