Starting her up for the fist time since October 2013
Was out countryside today and decided to drag the thing out of the barn and see if she would start up... Didn't take long before she did, damn that thing's reliable

Internship, not too keen on flapping about with my phone. So again, updates will be slim at best for the time being

No longer in the workshop and I'm not too keen on working on old metal outside during winter season so updates will be slim for some time. Possible plans and thoughts might be posted and/or the occasional archived thing, we'll see what the future offers.

Finally done with the exhaust on the mule

As mentioned in my previous post, I made some progress on the battery tray. It's now done to be more specific. I also started sorting out the leaking exhaust system, turns out it had more problems than I first expected. I've patched up one of the botched repairs and later noticed that the middle muffler was rotten. So I did the only logical thing to do, started fabricating straight pipes from old scrap. So far so good, just need to take a closer look on the front half of the exhaust system to make sure it's tight, get hold of a 3-4' long 2" pipe to complete the rear half of the system and then install it.

Some more documented progress, finally on the final steps of completing the battery tray and I managed to sort out some of the electrical issue with temporary fixes. Did some more progress after these images were taken so I’ll try to plaster them up later this week. Next on the list is trying to fix the leaking exhaust system and quite possibly replace one of the mufflers if I can find a 2” pipe.

Slim update this week, if any at all. Migraine with aura struck, thus temporarily knocking out half my visual field. In other words, I've been stuck at home these past two days. I intend to get something done this Friday though, unless Murphy's law kicks in

Removed the rotten front fender which I replaced last Saturday and did some progress on the battery tray. As it is now I've only minor work on it left, then I'll fabricate something that'll hold the battery firmly in place, spray on some paint, underseal and call it done. Didn't have the chance to wild last Saturday so, as mentioned, I installed the replacement fender and changed the oil. Which I suspect might have been needed, don't think I've seen an oil filter with rust on it before... Tried to adjust the idle on it but didn't seem to be necessary after the oil change, only time will tell if she still runs like a bag of nuts when she's idling. Hopefully I'll have enough time left at the workshop to fix the rust in the trunk section. It's needed but I'll be occupied with other things come spring, things that will hopefully get me a paid job eventually.

So I bought this here machine for $750 a few weeks ago, as expected from a cheap car in Scandinavia it had a few issues, mainly rust.
The right front fender has a large crack in it due to corrosion, the left front fender isn’t exactly pretty either but it will have to do for now. It also had some issues with moisture in the trunk, turns out there were some small rust holes there too, I hope to sort them out soon since it appears to be a rather easy fix.
I slapped a few somewhat new images of the current work I’m doing on it, which would be fixing the battery tray which was completely rotten. After I’m done with this I hope to move on to the next issue which is either the trunk area rust I mentioned earlier or some of the minor electrical issues.
For the time being I’ll most likely faceplant my pillow, more updates will hopefully arrive at some point after the dawn of Wednesday.
