She Proved Me Wrong...
The worst three days of my life Much more than just tears in my eyes Had she wanted to stab me under a knife There would have been no disguise The day i wanted to hold her hands tight She had someone else to do that Neither will I cry nor will i fight Coz for me, her smile is costlier than a sprat People may come, people may go But she ll remain someone I cherish I wanted her to be a never ending show But she decided so soon to perish I still deny to accept the fact all this couldnt be true But my soul assures me, she had sacked And she is no more coming out of any blue There may be better people No one will match her She had reached that steeple On her foot, she had my spur She was more than just a friend My smile backed up on her lips Had she known better to lend My heart wouldn't have been into strips All i can say for now She ll live in my memory forever For all her love, i bow Just pray, i see her ever, never I would never die But i had a promise to her I ll be never the same guy The day she left me without her And she proved me wrong No one can be true to anybody Had she been my forever song I would have never learnt this buddy Yes, she proved me wrong... The first person to do so... She hit me hard on my soul... And proved me wrong forever... ***Inspired from a true story***that changed me in more than one way*** ***Dedicated to that someone***BR***Keep smiling Jaanu*** -Raj Kumar Muthu Manickam

Hapless - A Middle Class Indian
Every thing in India is miniscule Things look so small and thin Right from my high school To the end of my daily whim The middle class makes up Never had it complained Just like a Noddy pup Until it is bloodstained My passion had gone into air In search of the paper coins Its all about the people in  the chair I found myself in the ruins No inventions, no discovery The country has found no genius There were not even any recovery Every thing seems just seemless No one gets their due No one rises up through the dust The exception of a very few All that remains are just rust Everything in India is unfortunate This history may run timeless The thing is going to be importunate A middle class Indian is just "Hapless"

The Pharmacist - Whole with none
Educating Future Pharmacists and Patients
“Jack of all, King of none” this is a phrase used to describe a group of medical proffessionals called Pharmacists. They are one group of people who are competent in every branch related to medicine, but arent allowed to practice any. They may well be known as the Birbal of Ashoka or the Tenali of Krishnadevaraya. One thing that can change this view is the Standard of Education to the Pharmacists.
India being an ancient civilization, always had the profession of Pharmacists/Compounders, but never had any specified standards for passing on these knowledge into the other generation, and that has continued till date. It is high time that Indian Pharmacy Education meets the world standards so that Indian not only get accolades for their hardwork but also for their Intelligence and knowledge. One point every pharmacist has to etch in his mind is every action he takes, good or bad, will not influence a single person, but a community or society.
One solution is to have a standard and updated syllabus that not only provides basic Pharmaceutical knowledge but also pulls the student into an creative aspect where he/she could think out of the box, that would put an end to the lack of drug discoveries and inventions in our country. Also one thing that puts a black mark on today’s Pharmacist is his ethics, from lending his certificates to selling banned drugs for money, a misguided pharmacist may bring a very hazardious impact on the society. hence Future Pharmacists should be well educated and shown the right path of their profession that will help in the well being of themselves and their society.
Evolving a pharmacist has never been so easy, the advent of technology can be seen in every aspect of the medical field, but as far as technical knowledge is concerned a pharmacist lacks behind, Therefore the Education system should be concerned on merging of age old knowledge of medicine and the technological development that would build up an ecosystem called Bioengineering, which would be ultimately used as a tool in development of newer drugs with the help of knowledge that our ancestors have left upon us to work on.
Pharmacists should be given the confidence that they are worth of their knowledge and they would get the recognition as an important health professional who has the responsibily of carying forward the great legacy that lies behind. An point of utmost importance is that, language should not behave as a barrier to a Pharmacist who wants to learn his art in the best way possible. Hence the education should take care of improving the linguistic knowledge of the student before he is taken into this vast field of patient care.
Pharmacists should be trained practically on all branches of the field, from Analysis, Marketing, Manufacturing and Community Pharmacy. Practical knowledge always provides a basement that can be carried over and is helpful in providing the best healthcare professional. Pharmacist act as the bridge between the Diagnosis  and the treatment of the diseases, and his most proficient tool are his words, Counselling. Patient counselling is one of the most important part of a pharmacist’s carrer. So provision of better and fruitful counselling practice should also be provided as a practice to the Pharmacist. He should be taught about every naucense of Patient counselling, and to counteract to all kind of patient and medical situation.
Now coming to educating patients about drugs and treatment. Pharmacist acts as a responsible carrier of knowledge. He has the responsibility of conveying to patients, what is known as Medical knowledge. Patients should be well aware of the uses, dose and interactions on each drug they take. Interactions play a major role in action of drug, hence he/she should have a basic knowledge of all the precautions he/she should take while administration of a drug. Educating patients also decreases the work load of other medical proffessionals. Patients are to be made aware of all the do-s and dont-s of a particular treatment, that helps in lessening of the treatment time and also the treatment cost. Patients should also be made aware of the Drug costs, Generic and Branding of drugs, that helps in reducing treatment costs and also their standard of living. Patients are pooled with the responsibility of carrying this knowledge forward, and the same time keeping the authenticity of their words, hence making the work of Pharmacists easier.
Therefore i conclude that, Pharmacist and Patient have equal responsibility in carrying forward the Pharmaceutical field, and the Education plays a very vital role in standardisation of the field. This is the need of the hour, as our profession should be able to cope up with the speed at which other fields are up to their growth and also to take up the competition with world standards and make this country of our a hotspot of medical and pharmaceutical speciality, this responsibility lies in the hands of a Pharmacist and he is intended to act as one with the help of the education and patient care…

Lonely Lurkey Lawns
I pushed my limbs out,
Darkness filled all around,
Whole body pulled as if in a bout,
Numbness was to surround.
As the dusk fell upon,
Loneliness creeped under,
I looked like a clown,
But it was nothing but a thunder.
She knew i was alone,
Rather chose to be with the other,
Waiting for me to be gone,
She could go on without a bother.
I still waited for her call,
The whole of lonely night,
At last i found once and for all,
She never cared whatever my plight.
I would still love her forever,
For that was my vow,
I would be alive if ever,
She would be mine anyday but now.
Preach her to atleast act potent,
If she would be courteous enough,
For that one moment
I would go down to hell in a cuff.

Jallikattu - "Eru thazhuvum engal veeram" more than just a sport
What is Jallikattu?
During this sport, a running bull is released into a crowd. The participants try to ride the bull for as long as possible while attempting to make it stop. In some cases, they must ride to remove the flags affixed to the bull’s horns. To encourage more youngsters to participate, there are prizes for the event. At the end of it, the tamed and weak bulls are used for agriculture and other domestic activities whereas the untameable bulls are used for breeding purposes.
Cultural significance
Jallikattu was practised during the Tamil classical period as seen in sangam literature(400-100 BC). It was common among the ancient people Ayars who lived in the ‘Mullai’ geographical division of the ancient Tamil country. Bos indicus bulls are bred specifically for the event and attended mainly by many villages’ temple bulls. A temple bull is like the head of all cattle in a village; special rituals will be performed for this temple bull during important days.
Why is PETA India, Animal Welfare Board of India (AWBI) and other animal rights organisations against jallikattu?
From what is talked about throughout, when these bulls are extinct the only way to breed is by Artificial insemination which is taken care by MNC’s and that too wont carry on for too long as the original genes will be lost out and weaker offsprings produced leading to Extinction of whole Indian breed. This brings into picture, import of foreign breeds like Jersy, which yeilds more milk and are inclusively positive for Corporates!
This is the same way our native breed dogs were killed in the blanket called Street dog Clearance… Now all we own in the name of pets are foreign breeds that would not survive a second day without packed dog food that is sold by another MNC… Just think what we are letting our country into…
Why is it important for Jallikattu to prevail?
The bulls that do not get tamed during Jallikattu are used for breeding. This is to ensure the use of the strongest and the most virile bulls, thereby making the offspring also stronger, more resistant to diseases, and able to produce higher quality milk. This is the traditional and only practical way that the farmers in the state see to be able to preserve the genetic strength of indigenous cattle breeds. The bulls which can perform well also fetch the farmers higher prices in markets. This makes the event even more valuable for them.
What is the argument here?
There are two types of beta-casein protein which are the dominant casein proteins in cow’s milk: A1 and A2 protein. Majority views at the moment is that A2 milk is more beneficial than A1 milk. In India, there are 37 native breeds (there were 150 a century ago), and of these, 36 have the A2 protein gene in them. A1 protein is said to result in many chronic illnesses. Jallikattu helps in preserving native breed if all these native breeds become extinct. We willthen have to interbreed and rely heavily on artificial insemination. Artificial insemination is an expensive process, and we rely on semen imported from countries like the US, Australia, Denmark and New Zealand from Holstein and Friesian bulls and other such breeds known to have A1 protein as the dominant gene. This essentially means that our generation and future generation will then have to live with milk rich in A1 protein and also the associated problems like Type1- diabetes, autism and so on. It will also lack the genes that are required for it to adapt to the climate and local changes which a native breed has in higher proportion.
“In TamilNadu, breeders rear bulls with the intention of showcasing them in Jallikattu. Most of the farmers can’t afford to raise these bulls and are hence reliant on these breeders or on the common temple bull which is reared by the entire village rather than a single breeder. The bulls that fare well in the Jallikattu arena are in constant demand for servicing the cows. So we can think of Jallikattu as a marketplace for these bulls.” says Madhusudhan Srikkanth, a converted supporter of Jallikattu. Madhusudhan was once a vociferous supporter of the ban and felt PETA was right. But, after researching and reading more about the situation, he felt that the people were right in their way to want to continue the tradition.
Is there more than what meets the eye?
“This brings into picture an MNC, A2 Milk Company with a presence in US, Australia and New Zealand. This company holds patents for trivial things like genetically testing whether a cow has an A1 gene or A2 gene. But what is disturbing is that they own the patent for artificial insemination of A2 gene bull’s semen. They hold the patent for this method which causes A2 gene to become the dominant gene as opposed to A1 which happens naturally. It suppresses the dominant tendency of A1 gene. Now if all native breeds in India were destroyed, then we may have to either make do with A1 milk or we may have to pay a hefty royalty to A2 Milk company for using its patented technique to produce cows rich in A2 gene. This is what is bothering most of these cattle breeders in TamilNadu. The question that is being raised is that when our breeds are perfectly capable of producing A2 milk, why must we force ourselves to be a slave to some other MNC company holding a patent for this. They also accuse this MNC of funding PETA which is unsubstantiated. But this organisation has been donating generously to PETA in US, Australia and New Zealand which is suspicious but doesn’t establish that they are behind the protest in India”, says Shrikanth.
What can be a plausible solution?
‘Amendment in Prevention to Cruelty to Animals Act.’ Animal Welfare Board of India (AWBI)– Authorised inspections to be conducted and regulated by them during the event. Section 11/3 – to remove the ban on Bulls from using them in traditional and cultural practices. Section 11N- remove Jallikattu from animal fighting (it is not a fight) Special Rule No. 27 – Made for Military, Police and Scientists, add Bulls under special section. Or, to pass an ordinance to allow Jallikattu in the state of Tamil Nadu
“The Animal Welfare organisations are like critics or speed breakers and must be there to ensure the safety of the animals when the event is conducted”, says Bharani Sivakumar, a supporter. “When it comes to critical events that stand between the biodiversity of the country and culture of the people, do make the demands fair for both the animals and humans. Let there be more strict regulations, heavy monitoring and keep as many CCTV cameras in all corners. Penalise or ban those who break the rules. But do not demand the prohibition of the entire event. Please come out of the anatomy of an animal that you already know and walk into the ecosystem of a village where everything is mutually dependent and stay with them for few months if needed, to understand their culture and the lifestyle of the bull in the remaining 364 days.”
All said and done, what we see all over Tamil Nadu today is not a protest, but an uprising of sorts. It is the fourth day of the protests and there seems to be no slowing down rather its growing in numbers and in Strength. The coming together of masses non-politically and in an organised manner with the help of social media for a common cause is noteworthy. And i am proud to be part of it. #SaveJallikattu

The "Non-Conqueror" - INDIA
One thing people have been wondering since eternity is that.. "Why haven't India ever tried to invade or conquer any other country" Apart from all that "we never had the power to do so" talks there are certain things that never allowed us to create that ruckus in other part. Really I never knew the answer. Neither do I know now. But I ll do one favour. I ll explain you the question. India has been a wonder in itself. This country has never ceased to amaze people around the wourl. It is one of the oldest civilization. Indus Valley civilization is as old as 3300BC. At its peak it had almost Five million civilians. At least history tell us so. Coming to the modern world India is the Second most populous country in the world. Indian Military ranks at the summit in number of active personnel. Indian economy is the fastest growing one on the face of earth. But there have not been a single manuscript that tells India ever tried to invade another country or at least tried to do so. From those Indus valley civilizations through the rule of the Great Ashoka and Akbar. Never had this one large country tried to come into another's space. The Maurya Empire was so large that it covered all most the whole of India but never did it cross those borders of present China or get into Iran.  People may argue that Cheras and Cholas had invaded Ceylon(Now Sri Lanka) and even destroyed all their monuments and history ans then they had conquered the Malay islands. But the fact lies there. Ceylon was never another country. It was another part of India and the Malay Islands were always constituencies of the Tamils and the point to be noted is ever after the capture there was no trade made. British started into India with trade. Dutch started into India with trade. Portuguese started into India with trade. Even columbus found america when he had left the shores in search of India. But even though Indian Subcontinent was one prominent trading spaces for all the resources, knowledge and wealth Never did any Indian get into another territory. Coming to the nineties. The now functional Indian Military has fought 6 wars. Each one was to defend their territories. Neither was to invade other's.  1962 - Sino-Indian War : China had already captured Tibet and was in need of Arunachal Pradesh now. That when India retaliated. Though India went on to lose the war. The defense was successful. Arunachal Pradesh is still part of India. 1971- Indo-Pakistan War : Pakistan was now In charge of the newly formed Eastern Territory. Named it East-Pakistan. That is when conflicts started of independence and India intervened. At the end ofit all, East Pakistan was Bangladesh. and Pakistan had already surrendered to India. (Try reading stories of this war... U ll feel proud being an Indian) 1999 - Kargil War : Another war for a territory. Pakistan wanted control of the Kargil and the Saichen regions along the LoC(Line of Control) along the PoK(Pakistan occupied Kashmir). India was never there to give it up.  And the defence started. It almost lead to a nuclear affair. And by the time USA intervened Pakistan had no other option rather than to surrender. And the point to be noted here is, Indian land troops had almost reached Lahore while capturing all the Pakistani territories that came in the way, but after the end of the war all territories were given back to Pakistan and the troops were withdrawn. So there was never a case of or to that India had tried invading another territory. This country has in itself some unlatched rule. As of to never let yourself into the foreign space. For u have everything in yourself. And that keeps you the best of the rest. But the literal reason still remains unknown.. Why?
