Now that the kids are in school, i have time to prepare my protein rich breakfast with just a tiny little treat of carbs. Slices of 3 different sausages Cheddar cheese Boiled egg Romaine and Sweet Frisee Lettuce (i like the light bitter taste of Frisee) Drizzled with my favorite dressing. I made it from scratch. Simple lang. Olive Oil, Sesame Oil, Patis and lemon juice with Capers Vinegar (optional) i like kasi the added tang of capers. Ito yung nilalagay sa Putanesca. I topped it with Parmesan Cheese. I like my greens with parmesan. Almost everyone who left had this final shot on their last day. I am grateful for the 3 years stay in this organization. But more thankful for being part of the business for more than 15 years. I sure will miss the night i would rush to commute to work and expecting to be late because my daughter just spilled adobo sauce in our bed. I will miss the coffee breaks with friends at midnight and right after a client call. I will miss the coaching sessions with sensible talks and people with intelligence and prudence when i listen and not judge on their emotions. This i will miss as i take on new opportunity entirely different from BPO. ( yes po, pumirma na ako sa VIVA ) big change and decision, it is scary but i am up for new challenge. If i fail, i know i will get up as i am built bullet proof. Si Romina Mondragon yata ito. 🙂 I am thankful for the learnings, thankful for the mentors and leaders who are strong and yet a protector; Smart but a humble influencer. Leaders whose strength and intelligence can be weapons, but did not wield against the weak. To new leaders - Be bigger than your position. Pull your people up. Be fair. Make sure you have their back. Arm them with skills and not mentor them on how to become a bully nor tolerate them to veer out of integrity. and that makes our job more noble. I’m a sucker for good meals. And for the first time in 39 years I’ve tasted the most delicious meal in my entire life. No kidding! I kept on doing the “ahhh and ohhh” each bite. With authentic spices gram masala, turmeric and some other, plus yogurt and salsa and a Basmati rice is to die for. These are Arab dishes at Mama Nours at Poblacion Makati. Best with Shisha and Cold Beer. We ordered Chicken Kebab Shish Taouk - a traditional marinated chicken shish kebab of Middle Eastern cuisine. It is widely eaten in Turkey, Azerbaijan, Lebanon, Egypt, Jordan, Syria, Palestine, Iraq, and Israel. A similar dish in Persian cuisine is the traditional jujeh kabab.
