You know you don’t need a trauma/mental illness reason to like vore non-sexually.
I see posts semi-frequently justifying non-sexual vore because it’s comfort due to trauma or mental illness
When I’m sitting here like “lol tiny person got eaten! I like that”
And have done so for over 10 years.
You don’t need to justify it. Obviously it’s fine to have justification but it’s not necessary.
You don’t need to prove anything or have an “I can enjoy vore non sexually” card prescribed by a doctor.
Those who enjoy it sexually don’t need to justify it either.
We’re all having fun with this silly fictional trope.

A billion dollar media company just placed a copyright claim on a recent video I posted on FB/IG. I pay to license every clip and song I use. I make $0 from any of these platforms. I make videos at a loss because I love telling stories. But a giant media company is claiming ownership over a free video that i paid a giant media company for the right to make. Meta's notification was beyond unhelpful. It doesn't say which video was claimed. Doesn't say which song or clip in that video was the basis of the claim so I can replace it. It doesn't say how to appeal the claim, only that I have 7 days to do so. It doesn't say what will happen if the claim is successful. Presumably they'll just claim ad revenue from it, which would be unfair, but also meaningless because THE PLATFORM ALREADY DOESN'T PAY ME. They can't steal what they already weren't giving me. But there's something profoundly insulting about me paying a company money so I can make something I don't get paid for, that they'll lie about to another company that isn't paying me, so they can take the money I would have been paid if anyone involved in this process cared at all. And the process is automated to give the illusion that I have any say in it at all. The truth is that I do not matter to these companies. The giant media company doesn't know I exist. An unsupervised AI was installed to print them free money by filing auto-generated content claims that have zero repercussions for false positives. Meta already isn't paying me, and I'll eat my hat if they reply to my message with any meaningful solution. I am lucky that my followers do care. I am lucky that when the system is reminding me how little I matter, I get comments and DMs and emails from people who believe in the value of what I do. That's why I haven't left this platform, and why I'll probably keep making videos for the benefit of giant companies who don't know I exist but are still making money from it. So I guess this is me saying thank you for treating my stories like they matter. Most days I believe that they do, and it's because of you.

In case people weren’t aware, there seems to have been a massive issue throughout Patreon. People have had their subscriptions cancelled and many had their payments flagged as fraud with their bank. 150$ of my patronage disappeared, that’s 150$ a month as a disabled artist that took months to build that I’m unsure I’ll ever get back..Gone. It won’t allow me to message anyone whose payments were declined.I also had around 10 people’s payments flagged as fraud, some have had to re-patron. If you’re supporting Patreon creators I advise you look to see if at least the people you remember supporting are still there / that your payments aren’t marked as fraud, especially if you’re supporting for physical rewards you’re expecting.

I *knew* that companies have been trying to shift blame for damage to the environment onto regular people's buying habits, but it has still somehow been a shock to research a topic and find the internet totally dominated by the narrative that "consumerism" and the desire to buy more stuff is entirely responsible for pollution and landfill waste, instead of factors such as planned obsolescence.
It's insidious—this widespread idea that average people are too greedy, and that's what fuels climate change and pollution. Not greedy companies.
"Consumers shop for clothes to stay on-trend and throw away perfectly good old clothes." "Consumers only wear clothes a few times before throwing them away." "A huge amount of landfill waste comes from clothing that consumers throw out." "Consumers replace their wardrobes arbitrarily to stay on-trend." "Consumer demand for 'fast fashion' is rising spite of the environmental impacts."
Statements like this make it sound like regular people want to buy and waste vast amounts of resources, and normal people's unchecked addiction to shopping is causing environmental devastation. It's horribly misleading when products are being deliberately designed to break or wear out within one or two years and to be impossible to repair.
Instead of "Americans are buying way more clothes than they did 20 years ago, causing lots of landfill waste!"
Where are the articles entitled "Clothing brands are selling poorly-made clothes that have to be replaced much more often than 20 years ago, causing lots of landfill waste!"

I got lucky and got low interest loans locked in just before things got really bad. Still took 15 years of regular payments to pay off 13k. Nowadays I bet it would take twice that. It's not right.

The fact that a *curable* disease is allowed to continue causing this much death is an indictment of the current system and enrages me.
Tumblr media
Tuberculosis has recently regained it long-held distinction as the world's deadliest infectious disease. But it's not just the deadliest disease infectious disease right now, killing over 1,500,000 people each year. It's also the deadliest infectious disease ever, killing over a billion people just in the last 200 years.
TB is older even than our species. It infected hominids like homo erectus over a million years ago.
Only in the last seventy years has the disease been largely curable. If everyone with TB received appropriate treatment and support, and if their loved ones received preventative therapy, TB deaths could decline by over 50% in the next decade.
For me, this is a cause of both hope and despair. Hope, because so many people work together to make breakthroughs in treatment, or to build and maintain the systems that allow treatment to be distributed, or to advocate for expanded treatment access. But also despair because we know almost all of these deaths are unnecessary and directly result from a human world that fails to acknowledge the truth that all humans lives are equally valuable.

I LOVE this rendition of Rand. I asked Pesty to draw him in the style of the vampire greasers from their story. That face, that HAIR. It's so beautifully him. Their rates are very reasonable and they work fast, so check them out if you're in the market for commissions!

YOU ARE IN EXACTLY THE RIGHT PLACE IN YOUR FUCKING LIFE!!!
BECAUSE IT'S YOUR LIFE!!!
IT DOESN'T MATTER WHERE OTHER PEOPLE YOUR AGE ARE AT!!! THEY AREN'T YOU!!! YOUR CIRCUMSTANCES, BACKGROUND, SETBACKS, CHALLENGES ARE ALL TOTALLY UNIQUE TO YOU AND EVERYONE IS DIFFERENT!!!
(and in any case - person a may feel "behind" person b and c in their education, but they can't see that person b feels behind in their romantic life or that person c feels their social skills are lacking and so on and so forth and such... people cannot be compared to one another. like apples and lozenges)

(Current as of the evening of March 20th, 2023)
The far-right Missouri attorney general just announced that gender-affirming care for young people is already prohibited by law in the state, despite passing no legislation, because it is “experimental”.
This far-right attorney general was the principal investigator of the local transgender center after a former employee ran to the right-wing press with lies about “child mutilation” and leaked the personal information of patients. Everything she said was a lie, and she is currently being protected by whistleblower laws and the far-right state from any blowback of keeping patients’ personal information on an Excel file on her personal computer.
