So I’ve finished the fan art of Estela (finally!)

The Bird-foots-trefoil symbolizes revenge (since she wanted revenge for her mothers death), and the olive branches symbolize peace (that she made with herself and her past, at the end of book 2 and beginning of book 3).

The Star constellation in the background is Draco, her hadean zodiac (which is also the amulet on the … necklace (head-lace ?) )

LONG ILB RANT

if you have some sort of incapability to accept any opposing, negative opinion on tom and parker, then probably don’t read this rant.

also disclaimer: the only diamonds i used on this book was for the “take a breather” scene in chapter 15. apart from that, i didn’t use any diamonds on this game. please keep that in mind if you read.

okay, here’s my unpopular(?) opinion; parker and tom were annoying and absolutely pathetic in ilb.

before you get angry, here me out.

so i came into this game thinking i would really love tom and at first i did. i thought he was cute, quirky and thoughtful. but as the game progressed i found him to be constantly unable to cope under pressure (leading him to lash out) or to get himself out of dangerous situations (risking his and other people’s lives). i’m talking about him getting angry in tense situations and just completely freezing when dangerous things happen. (i mean seriously my mc lost her pinkie bc of him!)

now i understand that a LOT of the character’s actions have to do with nerve count and of course i took that into consideration. because i’m not playing with diamonds, it’s harder to get the nerve count up. but even so, i found that imogen and tom had roughly the same nerve count at one point and yet, tom still cracked under pressure while imogen came through. idk i understand a lot of people will disagree. but i just found myself constantly annoyed by him and his complete lack of intiative.

now, parker. oh boy. do not get me started on parker. this boy. you’re telling me he’s supposed to be a cop? mr “i won’t shoot a giant monster that’s charging towards us and will probably kill us”? please.

something i found super annoying about parker was his constant inability to rein in his emotions at the right times. i get that chief kelley “practically raised him” and i get that parker was probably torn between emotion and doing the right thing. but his constant “cHiEf KeLlEy Is A gOoD pErSoN!1!” made me want to absolutely claw my eyes out. he constantly refused to see things for what it was. he always picked fights when anyone dared say a bad word about kelley.

but let me put this to you. when imogen’s parents—her parents—turned out to be cultists she never ever clapped back at anyone who had things to say about them. she understood they were bad people and needed to be charged for what they did. i mean, for pete’s sake, she joined the group to fight against them! she knew they were bad and she never tried to deny it. also MC. when everyone thought grandpa murdered MC’s parents, MC knew he was a bad guy and not once tried to defend him. (until it turned out he wasn’t a bad guy but anyway.)

and what does parker do? parker chucks a tantrum every time someone says something bad about kelley. he refuses to see kelley for who he is. like dude we get you love the chief but he’s a bad guy. don’t deny it. and THEN. oh boy, and then.

(keep in mind, no diamonds, guys, which obviously means low nerve. this might not have happened for you, but it happened for me and it pissed me right off.)

he UP AND LEAVES. he ABANDONS THE ENTIRE CREW AND NEVER COMES BACK. so let me get this straight. you’re telling me, this guy who can’t put aside emotions for facts, who ABANDONS A GROUP IN DANGER because it’s “too much” is a bloody cop? an actual, life-saving cop? what a joke.

anyway, that’s just my two cents guys. remember it’s an opinion. and it’s obviously formed based on how my play went. if your play went differently then you’ll probably have a different opinion and that’s totally okay. feel free to even tell me what you think! just don’t come for me because it’s only a rant and i don’t wanna fight anyone.
